Ali had no options. Ryan and Chrissy were voting together and of course not one another. The only thing Ali could do would be to convince JP that they are voting him out and target Ryan and go to rocks. Would JP go to rocks to save Ali? I seriously doubt it. So there was no need for Chrissy to play this dirty psychological game on Ali to convince her that JP was the one being voted out.

Woah are we comparing Mike Holloway with f..ing Chrissy? Please say you are joking!
-
Ali said in an interview that Chrissy was so convincing that they would keep her that she went as far as saying that she couldn't wait to see Ali hugging her sister during the family visit. I mean, that's very personal. I get she may have changed her mind afterwards but that was very uncalled for, she had no reason to say that. It's not that Ali had to be convinced she was the one staying because she didn't have anyone else to helpherr make a move. I'm wondering why we didn't get to see this storyline and the result I'm coming to is that they want to present Chrissy as smug and arrogant but not as mean for some reason. I'm happy Ali talked about this incident and I now have the whole picture of Chrissy.

Hehe I'm happy to say "I told you so" that Ali was just shown in the shadow of Ryan. It's pretty obvious to me that Ryan is the player who wins it all because of everything being told from his point of view and the constant reminder of his great social game. I think getting rid of Ali was the right move cause JP has shown how he can get easily manipulated and he has next to zero game strategy or social game. Now will he win some immunity challenges? Of course he will, but not all of them. They will have time to get rid of him later. While Ali will use all her skills to gather troops around her. It's sad to see her go like this but I think she should have tried to stay more. Fighting with Ryan after the TC was not smart. Nice job of the editors trying to make us think that Cole was going to be medivaced. The sentence Jess said "I'm not ready to be here without Cole" I bet was a straight question she answered "are you ready to be here without Cole?". I don't appreciate these mind games especially using someone's passing out to create drama. If Ryan wins I will hate this season forever. I've had enough of this type of players already.

I understand this is a sensitive matter but I didn't appreciate Rebecca saying to kid Randall that he was not "instead" of anything. That was a lie. Had Kyle not died, they would never have considered to adopt a baby. What I also don't like with this story is, who decided to let this couple adopt this baby? I bet there were hundreds of couples waiting to adopt a baby and some judge decides to let a couple who just had twins and never even made an application to adopt a baby take this baby? Isn't it totally unfair and irresponsible?

We should not forget that this is a social game as well and maybe the social aspect of it has become more important in modern Survivor than the strategy itself. We should also not forget that every single thing can be used against you in this game and one small thing can get you voted out. I am a person who, like you, would go up there and tell her to MOVE NOW but this is not a smart thing to do in this game. I'm trying to think why we dislike Chrissy so much and I'm wondering whether we'd hate her so much if in her place there was a man. I mean, we have seen many arrogant men in this game who thought they had it figured out and I don't remember people hating them that much (Russell is an exception). Even Ryan on this season seems arrogant. Why don't people hate HIM as much as they hate Chrissy? Is it the fact that Ryan is an otherwise likeable person or is it a gender issue?
-
In my eyes I see that all the good editing Ali got was because she was in a team with Ryan and Ryan is getting the winner's edit. Repeating Ryan has a great social game and this is gonna "save" him over and over I feel is leading to something in the future.
-
I will be unpopular here but I don't like Ben. I feel they are giving him the best edit they can given that he has done almost nothing and they are trying to force him to us as this likeable kind-hearted guy with an emotional story. I'm tired of this type of people in reality games who have nothing else to give than a story. At least Chrissy (who used to be in an alliance with Ben) is entertaining for being arrogant and smug and, lets admit it, strategic. Ben has had two alliances drop on his laps and other than being good in challenges he has done nothing more in the game. I'm tired by players who want to be role models to the outside world. No, you are there to play the game, forget about your image! That's why I like Russell Hantz. He never cared not to destroy his image outside the game.

I don't know whether it's because I've watched much Survivor but I'm annoyed with the edit this season. First of all Roark having next to zero confessionals in 4 episodes and suddenly she gets a storyline, if it's between Chrissy (who has had like 20 confessionals) and her, Roark is going, no mystery there. Second of all, a preview fail was the following: Last week on the preview we saw Chrissy telling JP that Roark wants a girl alliance. That scene was not shown until the immunity challenge so we immediately knew yellow was gonna lose. I mean, could they take care of the preview and the editing more???? Chrissy's teeth are annoyingly white. Other than that, do arrogant people realize they are arrogant? How can she not see how unlikeable she is saying that Roark is not smart and that she is outsmarting the smarty pants? I mean, come on, you are 45 years old, grow up! Mean girl detected! I had said that Ryan is weak in challenges and I'm stunned that he is not yet considered to be voted out. He must have said 10 times tonight the phrase "social game" so I'm predicting he wins and his whole game will be based on social game. Nothing is repeated on Survivor without a purpose. I guess he will be in the final three with strong people and he will repeat "social game" over and over and over. Ali seems to follow on Ryan's shadow.

It's interesting to find out why the editors made it seem like both of the other tribes were there to see Chrissy puking. Did they want to justify why Ryan chose to give the idol to Chrissy so they make him seem smarter in the future when his decision will have an impact to the game? Or is it something else?
-
Exactly. He is stronger than Desi so the heroes would prefer to vote her out being the weakest of the two and keep him for challenges. That's why he wanted to become a jerk so that they decide to vote him out instead and he gets saved by the idol.
-
Well I am a minority as it seems but I like how Joe is playing and I also like how Russell played! What can I say, I love me some villains! Edit to add something kinda irrelevant: Tony Vlachos is Greek and it always entertains me the way people pronounce his surname. In Greek 'ch' is pronounced like we say 'hey' or 'horse'. So his surname is pronounced Vlahos. Just saying. :P

Very interesting way that the swap happened. In fact the swap was really symmetrical and that makes me wonder whether there was a way production may have used to interfere with that. I mean, there were 6 healers and we could have seen a tribe with 4 of them but this didn't happen. Joe is not that bad of a person after all. He acted kind of alone by telling Devon that the heroes wanted him out AND by trying to take the target away from Desi but in the end he managed to figure out he was the one voted out and at the same time voting out Alan who surely was the biggest threat from the heroes tribe. I feel that Desi did much of the work too but she didn't seem to get credit. Cole telling the two strangers, Ben and Lauren, that Jessica has an advantage that could be used against these two? Yeah I think we have a player who can beat Eric's move of giving the idol to Parvati's team if he tries hard enough! The person who cast him should get a raise! :P Chrissy thinking that Ryan is the kind of person who just gave her the advantage because he felt he loved her must be another illusion that will remain in Survivor history. Ryan doesn't want to play with his mother, Ryan would SELL his mother to the devil to win this game! (metaphorically speaking!). I want to see Jessica voting Cole out. Now. Bye Alan. You were not meant to be in this game. Alan for me was like Devin from BB16. Their game was great until they ruined it themselves big time.
-
I don't agree with people saying that Cole telling Desi and Roark about Joe's idol was a mistake. That way he gained their trust, him and Jessica become a foursome with Desi and Roark and even if a swap happens Joe has now a huge target on his back and these 4 people can use it against him regardless the tribe they are in. Joe has become a public enemy and Cole managed to take the target off his back and create an alliance with Desi and Roark. Maybe his move was thoughtless but I don't think it will harm him.

Actually I think that every one of us is or has the potential to be as bad as Sam in Better Things or make bad choices like her. Sam is decent most of the times when she acts socially with other people just like most of us do. But are we the same when we are in the privacy of our house? Do we never fight with our loved ones? Do we never have bad habits? Do we never have bad behavior? Of course we do, but we are not in people's houses that's why we don't see these things. We see Sam during her every day life, when she wakes up, how she interacts with her kids, where nobody is supposed to see her. Of course she is annoying, over the top at times, aggrivating, repulsive etc. But so are we at times, that's what I'm saying. And seeing her like that I feel much better because I don't try to be perfect and I don't want to be perfect to satisfy strangers. I feel close to her in her imperfections that are my imperfections as well.
-
I don't like how Been and Chrissy are acting all bossy and I will be really mad to see her win or even make it far. She was playing the victim the first days and now she acts like the queen.
-
I don't consider her a bitch. She has had moments when she was mean and moments I adored her just like all of us have our moments. No person is perfect or awful all the time.
-
This show is all about people being not perfect and I love that. We should consider how hard it is for women Sam's age to date someone who is not married/ weird/an @&$# etc etc. Society expects women to be coupled or else they must lack something. Sam felt she had to follow this rule but that guy wanted to give little and take back much. Good for her for calling him out but she shouldn't have done it in public. Her leaving the party like that: There has to come a day where we decide to ignore society's rules and put ourselves first. Good for her. She showed her wealth is her kids.

If Ryan and Devon wanted to vote out Patrick Ali could not have done anything. Patrick was unpredictable and annoying. Simone said many bad things about him in her interviews. They need a calm camp life so that they win challenges. And they also need a team player and Patrick was sure not one.
-
I used to like him but he tries too much to be a Cochran character just to be remembered. I want pure strategists, not people who play a role in Survivor.
-
But if Cole doesn't consider Joe an ally maybe it's better that many people know about the idol so that they inform their new tribe mates after a swap and they blindside him.
-
I guess the producers liked how Figgy and that idiot's relationship made people talk about them and they threw in the game young people who are ready to fall in love. A30 years old virgin? You must have searched for her a looooot :P
-
Well it was obvious that Hustlers would lose the IC cause the preview had shown a fight between Patrick and Lauren which was not shown in the episode until the IC so we could see it would happen after the challenge. That's fail for the editing in my opinion. They should be more careful with that. I can already see Jeff on the reunion show asking Jessica who will be dating Cole "Jessica? Still a virgin?". Ewww. I don't get why Alan doesn't understand that he should back off from his paranoia and build bridges with JP and Ashley. The three of them could be an amazing team but they choose to be enemies instead in a game where friends are disappearing species. I like Lauren a lot. She has a great understanding of things happening around her, how she is perceived, how she should react to things etc. I miss such a logical and down to earth player from such reallity games. I hope she does well! Why isn't Ryan from Hustlers tribe never considered as someone who should be voted out? He is weak in challenges, a great strategist and social. I'd vote him out first! I enjoyed this episode more than the previous ones cause we got to see more of the dynamics in the tribes. I prefer that than a reward challenge that will give me zero knowledge about the strategy in the game.

I was a fat kid. My mom would not humiliate me or compare me to other kids etc but her expression at times was enough for me to feel bad for my weight - this still goes on and I am 36. My mom is 57 and she is fit, beautiful, social, kind hearted - everything I am not. I can relate to Kate. Her mom was not saying to her "OMG you are fat" but her behavior could very well imply it.

I cried in the end of the episode when the police were searching Maura. What world are we living in? People should not be humiliated in public like that!
