  1. Thanks. This bottle does have the baby duck and says "50 percent less scrubbing." I find the scent awful -- maybe it's me that's changed.
  2. Is there more than one kind of blue Dawn detergent? Because I recently bought a small bottle of blue Dawn just to see if I still liked it (used some version of it regularly years ago) and found I could not stand its smell! Very stinky, like the worst dryer sheets.
  3. I voted today. So grateful for this right guaranteed by our Constitution! And in awe of the many careful poll workers who assure we can exercise this right!
  4. Jill's MO is "hustle hustle hustle" in service of her dreams of fundie stardom, and the comfort, safety or welfare of others be damned. The faces on her kids in that van say it all.
  5. How would a child raised in the Dugger cult acquire empathy? It's just so sad to see its lack in the now -adult children. Put yourself in someone else's shoes for just a few minutes every day, Jinger! Your heart and mind will expand if you can learn just a bit of compassion for what others are experiencing.
  6. Lately my ongoing peeve is the lack of rain here -- for months. Now that it's finally going to freeze overnight, it means I have to drag the hose around and try to water the shrubs and trees at least once before winter sets in. So sad for all the folks in the southeast who are dealing with hurricanes and floods of rain -- their troubles go beyond peeves into tragedy -- but if only a fraction of that rain could have fallen here!
  7. Seeing your kittycat sleeping in its favorite spot is one of life's greatest comforts.
  8. The best color for a car I ever had (not that I've owned that many cars) was a used 1998 Toyota Camry that was a kind of light bluish-purple color (called "Iris"). Don't know whether it showed the dirt better or worse than other colors BUT the big advantage was I could find that car quickly even in the biggest parking lot! (This was before clicking a key fob would cause a "beep" and a headlight flash.) That color was really rare, and really stood out. Now my Toyota is a kind of muddy gray-brown, like every fourth car in the U.S. (it sometimes seems to me).
  9. We had Vernor's ginger ale in Michigan where I grew up in the 1950s- 60s.
