  1. I liked much of this episode. Pete and Myka. The sperm offer seemed fine to me. I have known gay men who have donated sperm to their lesbian friends so this doesn't seem like a totally strange notion to me. I am sure that there are straight men who would do the same for their best friend (few and far between perhaps but I am sure they do exist . . . and Pete has always shown a feminine/emotional side). I am agnostic on a Pete/Myka pairing. You know HG has found a partner with whom she seems quite happy so I wouldn't want her to leave that life for Myka. Since Mrs F, herself, had a child and since she has gone through a highly emotional change (being severed from the warehouse and then being reunited), I suppose it is reasonable for her to be interested in life choices. My guess is that Claudia's sister was introduced when the show runners thought they would have a whole season to play with it. They couldn't just drop it but I suspect everything will be compressed with only 6 episodes. I am interested in what's up with Valda - hope to see more soon.
  2. Liked the TV.com review. But for me the problem with Lizzie is that she thinks she's hard ass (remember her description of her self in the pilot) but she's just incredibly over emotional, self concerned and not too bright. Maybe in the hands of a more competent actress she could seem multi-dimensional, layered, conflicted. It could be the show runners really do want her to seem like an overaged teenager (hence the hair) who is going thru some bizarre coming of age story. Hubbie better not turn out to be "one of the good guys" but then in the world of espionage . . . good guy is a fluid notion.
  3. Not Irving! I like the CIA connect. Great catch TW2222. Tho' CIA is not nearly as secretive as NSA, I'll go for a highly placed but rogue CIA operation.
  4. This was a truly unsatisfying episode. Don't care about Cora's angst. "She didn't want to give her (ww) up, she was forced to." What a crock. The baby was an inconvenience for Cora's big plan. So Snow and Emma have to take on some family guilt (such darkness - nonsense) because they told the truth.
  5. Liked the bonding between Hook and Henry. Hook seems to have had the most character development this iteration. Regina seems a close second - actually trusting Robin. Carlyle remains by far the best actor of the crew - being able to communicate pages of meaning with a subtle look. It seems from Zelena's plan that we are in for another reset if she has her way - to which I say nooooooooooo. I realize there needs to be a threat to give the show its raison d'être - but there must be a way outside of resets to do that. The wizards shadow did look a bit like Jefferson. This episode filled me with a sense of foreboding that none of the character/relationship driven B plots will ever be really addressed.
  6. Tell me how you see this thread going. I am in the middle of gorging on the old episodes but am somewhat farther along. Should we stay discussing in order or are thoughts from random episodes OK. Like the insight that the last thing you see may not be cause of death. This prediction has been niggling at the back of my mind - particularly since this last season where there has been such a drastic change in focus. Now I have a more satisfying way of putting that niggle to rest. Much better than my current "who said TV shows remember what they said 4 seasons ago"
  7. My theory (admittedly built on nothing concrete) is that he was fond of her mother and that is why he feels so close to her.
