Catelynn's behavior is making me have sympathy for Tyler. That can't happen. Run Tyler and Nova, run.
-
Batman. Tyler is a huge Batman fanatic. We should take a drink every time Catelynn mentions depression, anxiety, and trauma.
-
I lost sympathy for that quesadilla troll long ago. Many others as well. Catelynn needs to be put away for a good long while in a regular psych ward without amenities.

Perhaps the Bud Lights keep Maci from having a case of the guilts. I don't know if anyone caught something else Taylor said on the Nessa special by Taylor. Nessa asked him a question about something, I don't remember. He responded with something about the last time he and Maci flew out for the reunion special and they brought the kids along. He happened to say they brought a nanny for the kids. Maci wanting to adopt kids (does anyone actually believe this story line?) has me wondering why? She doesn't spend time with the ones she has already. Is she trying to be like that woman, Jackie Siegel, who has numerous children, but leaves them to be tended to by the staff and nannies? Amber's cousin - I don't have a black heart, but I had no sympathy for her situation. When she stood there and tried to paint herself as a victim, I was laughing. Crystal said she had talked to this guy every single day for three months. Reading between the lines it sounded as if she was trying to say it wasn't a one-night-stand nor was it any sort of booty-call relationship. It was serious. Hearing Crystal drop the F bombs so easily in front of her children and venting in front of them about her ill-fated attempt at having her former love work on her car was all kinds of wrong and disgraceful. Has anyone noticed how Andrew dresses? He wears what appears to be a suit jacket over a t-shirt. He also wears some cheap-looking tennis shoes. I am still trying to figure out what kind of pants he is wearing.

I hate when sexism is implied when none exists. It is just criticism towards a particular person that happens to be female. If there is one thing I have noticed around here is that the snark is thrown around equally to everyone regardless of their sex. We don't need policing. Maci's behavior dictates the criticism she receives. If I were Taylor, I would be bothered that money was being spent on daycare when St. Maci of Bud Light has anointed herself to be the stay-at-home parent, the reason she gave for quitting her job at the check-cashing place and why she wanted a business she could run from home so she could have time with her children. It is extremely foolish and particularly sad that the kids are not spending that time with their mother who can have some wonderful bonding time. I can praise daycare centers and give them props for all they do for children. It is a wonderful thing to have kids in an atmosphere where they can socialize with other children. But for Maci to have her kids in daycare from 7 a.m. until at least 5 p.m. (this was mentioned in one episode) for the entire week while she sleeps in and has nothing else going on, is appalling. If she was utilizing the daycare once or twice a week, that is one thing. It just doesn't seem there is a rational explanation as to why Jayde had to be put in daycare starting when she was six weeks old and the next child was then put into daycare on a full-time basis soon after he came into the world. Does Taylor work? If not, why are the kids being sent to daycare? Being a parent is a job. If he was at home tending to them, then Maci could sleep in the whole day. See, this is the other issue. I agree. Taylor should be tending to the children regardless if he works outside the home, but if Maci is doing the bare minimum, that will surely cause friction in the marriage. I might go as far as to accuse Taylor of enabling Maci's behavior. They were having big fights and it was causing issues in the marriage. I am sure this was one of the issues at hand.

Kwhale was very much being her usual asshole self on the After Show. First, the whole thing about her taking Amber's side against Gary speaking the truth was the pot calling the kettle black. Now, she is going after Mack the Truck? Spare me! Look, I am all for going after Mack, but it sure as hell should not be coming from the person who reeks hypocrisy and oozes double standards. How many times has she gone on rants on social media to attack her partners or exes? At least what Gary said on camera was nothing but facts. He didn't lie. He didn't say anything that we didn't already know. Kwhale discussed briefly wanting to be an egg donor on the After Show. To then read here that she took that to social media and she references Kris Jenner? As much as she tried to diss Kim Kardashian on the After Show, she clearly shows she is a watcher of their show and is trying to follow in their footsteps in more ways than one. I wanted to throw up when that one black guy stood up and said he wanted to hook up with Kwhale when Nessa asked if any guy wanted to date her after Kwhale said she hadn't been on a date in a long time. I guess he just wanted booty call time.

For all we know, Mackenzie is likely lying about being pregnant. So, I can see your point. However, Kailyn has hinted at things happening in her life that either did or didn't occur, but the mere fact these people put something out there even if it is a hint, or MTV is screwing around with the editing (which they have done before), it is still speculation and it will drum up a conversation. I understand wanting to know for sure before even having a conversation about it. Mackenzie might be pulling a Maci and a Catelynn here.

I am just going to post my thoughts. Nova looks like an idiot in this photo. Maybe because she looks like Tyler.

It's not spoiler when it was mentioned in the previews for next week. As for social media info being inserted in episode threads, that has been the norm on these Teen Mom threads.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
SPLAIN replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
Truth. Farrah was their star. Reason being, is that she was a big time trainwreck. That is why they brought her back. But when she didn't kiss ass like the rest of the cast, they booted her. They want their train wrecks, but they also want them to trained to perform for the cameras. Amber is like those monkeys who dance and put their hands out for money for their human handler. MTV is her human handler. Shawn is definitely a big time enabler to Amber's fuckery. -
Part of the chatter here is speculation. It comes with the territory. Plenty of speculation has occurred among all the cast members over the seasons. We have speculated a long time about Ryan's drug use before it was revealed. And yes, she revealed she is pregnant. I believe Taylor was told by Maci. I just hate to think Maci cooked up this whole thing for a story line or at the very least, she is making it a bigger thing than it deserves. Taylor doesn't deserve that.

Very much in agreement with this. Gary pretty much summed it up that he can never express his thoughts or feelings to Amber without her exploding or cutting him off. This is true. We watched it happen time and time again throughout the seasons and on reunion shows. He did not say anything that was untruthful. He did not lie. He stated facts. Since when is stating facts to your partner about how you feel so wrong? I mentioned this before, but this is supposed to be a reality show. Amber has been allowed to have the floor many times to express her thoughts and she presented a lot of lies about Gary. Why does Gary need to hush up? I suppose the only thing left is for Gary and Kristina to do is to put a halt to appearing on the show and keep Leah off camera. He has the legal right to do so. I mean, what is the purpose of his screen time if he can't share the realities of his co-parenting life with Amber? This man has been a victim of DV. He should not have to fear speaking out. I encourage him to have a voice. What can Amber do? Throw a fit on Twitter? Go right ahead, my dear. Gary should not engage on social media. I am sorry about that. I am in the camp that Maci has used a miscarriage to drum up a story line for her scenes. I may take it further by saying I don't even know if what she is saying is at all true. How do we know she visited her doctor? It might be all lies. To avoid an argument, I will stick with what she is claiming - she was told by her doctor that she had a miscarriage. She didn't even know she was pregnant. Going by that, how can she sit there and express herself as someone who is grieving about "Dandelion" when she didn't even know "Dandelion" existed? I am not going to tread lightly here or do like Gary and walk on eggshells. I think that is straight up bogus and cruel of her to equate her situation with Catelynn, assuming Catelynn is herself telling the truth. These two are lacking credibility and I have a hard time taking what they say as being the truth. I guess I am on your side.

I spend more time with you all on these forums than Amber will ever spend with Leah. I also spent a lot of my time growing up helping with my nephews and nieces as if they were my own. My name should be on their birth certificates. Maci - Sure, Jan. You really felt the need to travel across country to visit ailing Catelynn. It was only an opportunity for you to get out town and leave Taylor with the kids. I noticed his remark upon her return home about how hard it was to have them all day long on the weekends. Meaning, they are so accustomed to having their kids in daycare all day long during the week. @druzy you are correct about Maci speaking as if she is halting.Her.Speech. The teleprompter comment was also precise. Gary - I wish you had not apologized. For all the hate and unkind words Amber has thrown your way, in your face, on social media, on this show, and in interviews, you were correct in your assessment about Amber. It was filled with a lot of emotion, pain, and anger, but nothing atrocious. If this show is supposed to be about reality and what is happening in the lives of these Teen Moms, then it is fair game for those who are dealing with them to be able to say what is on their mind. Especially when it is without a doubt the truth and it comes from someone who has credibility. Did anyone notice the wonky editing during the Gary & Kristina scene? One moment Gary is speaking while standing in front of the oven. Then, when he started talking about Matt, he was suddenly standing in front of the refrigerator.

Agree to all your points.

I don't think MTV offers them money to get pregnant. I think it was worded wrong. MTV pays people who are filmed on the show. If the girls have a baby and that baby appears on camera regularly, then the parent of that baby will then get paid more.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
SPLAIN replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
@MissMel you are a sweetheart. Thank you for posting those images. -
All of these trailer trash hillbillies are making me ill. Then again, it is MTV behind all of this and that is who I should be directing my anger at in this case. MTV keeps throwing money at these people under the guise that they are like family to them and they care about Catelynn's well-being, when in reality, they are using Catelynn to push her agenda which is her fabrication of depression, anxiety, and feelings of suicide. I am conscious of the fact that without a doubt there is something off-center with Catelynn in her mind, but it is not what she claims. I believe she is feigning illness for attention. That in itself is a mental problem, but it is not being dealt with accordingly. ETA: I just read the previews for tomorrow's episode. Apparently, Maci is now going to visit Catelynn in Arizona. Maci is only there for the fabulous five star accommodations and possibly all the Bud Lights she wants stocked in her refrigerator.
-
Retirement, yes. How do they expect to make it to that stage in life? The clothing line is definitely not something that would sustain them if not for the MTV money. They are likely putting in more money into that line than they are receiving back. I can see Catelynn pulling the disability card down the road just to avoid ever having to work. If Catelynn were to become disabled (I can see her pulling that one in the later years, if not sooner) would she pull in a good chunk of disability from social security from the wages she earned through Viacom? Catelynn and Tyler are acting like those fools who win $5 million in a state lottery who go on to quit their jobs only to spend their winnings foolishly. With all the hanger leeches in their lives, being uneducated and having no work experience, the reality is going to kick them hard in the ass.

David Lowell appears in one episode and he is being treated like a king. What gives?
-
His FB page is filled with questionable and ugly posts using memes that are degrading to black people. I am just going to say it - he is racist. He has the audacity to use a meme to state that the Black Lives Matter movement should be about getting a job and stop acting as if he country owes them while he is here bitching and crying for Catelynn to buy him a truck? Fucking imbecile. Reading his post where he refers to Amber 2.0 as a slut, takes me back to Catelynn referring to Farrah as a slut. Are River and Catelynn on the outs? Is he brain-damaged? Seems anytime anyone is in a car accident, they get the excuse they have brain damage. Too bad his accident didn't make him see life differently.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel

Did you miss last season when the floors were shown with urine stains from the dogs? I think @druzy posted photos here of the mess. The crown molding was severely damaged and I think the window panes were in dire need of being repaired due to the dogs chomping on them. The carpet on the stairs was stained and dirty. It was gross. Amber: "...always coming home with flowers..." Hey Amber, it is not him being a gentleman. He is hiding something. Where is he going in the first place? That is the question. He is making you think he isn't the domestic abuser and drug user that the court records show. -
@MaharincessI was 7 years old when I was told I was adopted. I fully understood what I was being told. I think my advice would be to just keep it simple. My adoption was said to me in very simple terms. I was almost ecstatic to hear I was adopted. It opened my eyes to the fact that I was truly loved by my parents because, as my 7 year old mind thought, "I am not really their kid and they love me like I am." It was a special feeling and one I carry to this day. When I was told about my adoption, I had a few questions then. As I got older I had more questions. As a matter of fact, just last year I asked my sister more questions. You don't have to go into every single detail. Kids can only soak up so much information. As she gets older you can tell her little by little. In fact, let her know if she ever has any questions, to don't hesitate to ask. My advice - take it or leave it - about the previous husband is you can be upfront with her and let her know that you were in a marriage that wasn't healthy for you. A simple, "I was married to a guy who was hurting me in many ways." It may be a chance to give her a little education about loving and respectful relationships and how people should never put their hands on her. I think she is at an age that it is not too early to teach kids about abusive relationships. Segue that into how she is loved and surrounded by wonderful family members. Then you can let her know how your new husband came into your life and with that, a new and loving family. I know you will figure it out as you speak to her. Sometimes kids will lead the conversation as you talk to them about such topics.

LOL backwards. Good one. I would quit my job as well. However, my family has financial security. I have worked most of my life and have the experience to list on a résumé. I have taken time off before and was able to get right back into the workforce with no problems. My husband has worked all his life as well. We have money put away, and we don't spend it foolishly. We have investments, we budget for vacations, we have one bank account that is strictly for emergencies, we have great health coverage and we also try and live our lives accordingly so that we are not having to worry about health issues that can be avoided. Catelynn and Tyler don't have anything to prepare them for when the worst happens down the road. Catelynn is indifferent to her mental health care and she is certainly unconcerned about her her overall health. This is a pattern that I don't see changing any time soon. When this show is over and Catelynn is heavier and dealing with all the health issues that come with being obese, how will they ever pay for her care? When MTV is no longer around to foot the bill for Cate's 7th rehab stay, she will have no one to blame but herself. And this is the gist of it, right here. ^^^^ Whether it is a paying job or some kind of volunteer work, Catelynn needs something to keep her mind and body busy. Catelynn is not doing herself any favors by sitting at home and stuffing her face with 7 pound quesadillas. She is certainly not in a position to be a mental health advocate. She is the poster child of how not to handle one's mental health problems.

I am not even on the board for two minutes and I read this and I just want to give you all of my likes. I don't think we have a limited supply of likes, but if we did, I'd give them all to you for this post. Game on, indeed. Cate doesn't know any better? She is not a child. She is not a teen. At what point is Cate accountable?

What article is this? I am late to the party. That bolded part is not true. Maci had two trap babies by Taylor. I have read this about Cole and Chelsea many times over. Do we know how they have invested their finances? I don't, but it would not be too far-fetched to believe these two have planned out for the future. I do not know what are Cole's wages. I am not sure what kind of money he brings in on a yearly basis or how much overtime he may do. I also don't know the cost of living in their area. Anyone know? I don't know if their house is paid for. Property taxes must be cheap. I live in California so everything is cheap outside of my state. They do not seem to live beyond their means. We know Chelsea is not receiving child support from Adumb. Cole is not paying for any child support since he has no previous children from another relationship. I think it was mentioned long ago that Randy helped Chelsea invest her money. I don't know what he brought into the marriage money-wise. I don't know if his family is financially well-off. Any major spending seems to have been the one home they share and the animals. Cole makes furniture! That is a big plus. He is a handy-man who seems to save money by making what the property needs such as fences. Going by what information has been released about Chelsea's earnings, she has been pulling in six figures for a long time. After at least six years of pulling in that kind of money, and with Randy there to assist her with her financial future, and after taxes, she has quite a tidy sum, I am sure. Those are the kind of factors I would consider when trying to determine what state of financial stability someone is likely to be in.
