  3. After TDS complimented Trump for his reasonableness and dignity in conceding to Ted Cruz on Tuesday night's show, I wish they'd gone after him harder on Wednesday's show for turning around and claiming Cruz stole the election. So much for being reasonable! A leopard doesn't change his spots. Agreed that Roy's porn field piece was very funny. If they're going to do a black history month segment every day, I hope more of them are like this one and that we see fewer half-baked comedy sketches.
  4. I suspect there will be a few references to Stephen's former character on Feb. 8, when Papa Bear will be in the house! 9. Presumably it's the talk show host. Unlike TDS, the TNS folks only send me the guest names, without any explanation as to who they are, but I don't know of any other (famous) people named Wendy Williams!
  10. 2/1: Reshma Saujani (founder and CEO of Girls Who Code) 2/2: Peter Bergen (journalist & author – promoting book “United States of Jihad”) 2/3: Hannibal Buress (comedian – promoting Netflix Comedy Special “Comedy Camisado”) 2/4: Lilly Singh (YouTube star – promoting YouTube Red original movie “A Trip to Unicorn Island”)

  12. I assumed she's positioning herself as a potential VP candidate if Hillary gets the nomination. "Well, WE'VE got a woman too!" Ugh. I know Trevor doesn't cover Fox News as avidly as Jon did, but I feel like the whole Trump/Fox brouhaha will be too much for them to resist.

  14. I'm getting a bunch of changes for all the NY-based talk shows today, most likely due to the weather. Here are the latest Colbert updates: Monday, Jan. 25 Secretary Donald Rumsfeld; Oklahoma City Thunder Point Guard Russell Westbrook; musical performance by Jackson Browne Tuesday, Jan. 26 Laurence Fishburne; Senior Vice President, Provost of Science and Curator of Paleontology for the American Museum of Natural History Michael Novacek; musical performance by Lake Street Dive Wednesday, Jan. 27 Chris Pine; Actress Danielle Brooks; Columbia University student Jonah Reider; musical performance by Baauer Thursday, Jan. 28 Josh Brolin; John Dickerson, host of CBS News’s “Face The Nation”; Environmental Activist Erin Brockovich; musical performance by Aubrie Sellers
  15. Wow, I JUST posted that over in the media thread! So you can find my (brief) comments there.
  16. Why Are Americans Ignoring Trevor Noah? Well, I'm not ignoring him... I find him delightful, and I was HIGHLY SKEPTICAL. Don't get me wrong, I loved Jon Stewart, but I'm kinda glad he's off on his farm in New Jersey this election season, instead of having to pay attention to Fox News and Donald Trump. Following Jon was an impossible task and I think Trevor's doing fine.
  17. John Oliver is going to be a guest on Wednesday's episode of "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon."
  18. I wonder if it would have gotten so much attention if the name of the town hadn't been WHITESboro. That was just a little too on-the-nose. The combination of the seal plus the name = comedy.
  19. I notice in the end credits that his suits are from Tiger of Sweden (the "Sweden" part jumped out at me 'cause that's where I'm from). The suits seem to be cut for VERY slim men, but the models on the web site don't seem to have the gapping below the buttons that Trevor has. If you look at this one, for example, it seems to fit far better than any of Trevor's suits do. (I will admit here that I know nothing about menswear, but I have also noticed that his suits don't seem to fit quite right.)
  20. A few updates for next week... Mo 1/25: Grace Helbig, Hari Kondabolu, Matt Braunger Tu 1/26: Marlon Wayans, Affion Crockett, Jenny Zigrino We 1/27: Ryan Stout, Esther Povitsky, Brandon Wardell Th 1/28: Kyle Kinane, April Richardson, #PointsMe winner
  21. Mo 1/25: Marlon Wayans Tu 1/26: Cedric the Entertainer We 1/27: Brandon Marshall 1/28 is TBA.
  22. The first time I saw that seal, I honestly thought it was a parody inspired by the Pawnee town murals.
  23. OK, I was wrong... it's not Hillary. 1/26: DeRay McKesson (BlackLivesMatter activist)
  24. Some fab photos of Jessica Williams, who is on the cover of Bust magazine's Feb/March issue.
