I really don't get this show or The Originals for that matter. I mean in the history of TV has anyone ever said, " You know what that vampire show needs..... more babies!"

I didn't hate it.... but I do see we've given up on any possibility of making sense or small semblance of reality. Any entire town evacuated with no problems or issues from people inside or outside? If it's that easy to kill a heretic, why not kill them all that way? And most importantly... Why oh why is Matt still hanging out with these people?? Like I said, didn't hate it however I have little faith in the TVD writing team to do justice to any "Lost" like storyline.

Hmmmmm....... I didn't hate it and I didn't find it boringly repetitive like The Originals preview. Color me pleasantly surprised!

Dear holy hell... I simply cannot take another special snowflake baby with this franchise. What are the chances they don't write Candice's pregnancy in? Oh and of course back in the real world.... all the best to Candice and her family.

As much as I adored "The Mom Show".... how many times do I have to watch 4 idiots on this show walk into a room and have the door slam and lock behind them? Everything is getting repetitive and annoying..

Too funny! My husband was just like, "That guy you like from the teenage detective show is going to be on that teen vampire show you watch". My 1st thought was "Goddamn Julie Plec for not letting me quit this show", quickly followed by.... " I really do watch too many shows about teenagers". We can only hope.... and maybe he'll have an Alpaca...

I agree. From the press I've seen with both Ian and Paul, neither has a f*ck left to give.... And really, can you blame them? Personally, I'm hoping good ole Matty blue eyes finds a way to burn Mystic Falls to the ground with those bunch of A-holes stuck there. As far as the Comic Con coverage....I'm not sure if I'm spoiled by being a Veronica Mars fan, but I find myself tiring of listening to Julie Plec (or Micheal Narducci for that matter) speak as though she's writing Shakespeare and the offense she seems to take when fans don't agree. Sigh..... not many can be Rob Thomas. It continues to amaze me no one has forced JP or her team to take a class on social media......

While I’m happy to see Aria actually take a proactive attitude (and in a shirt I actually like) I wonder if one day these girls will see a hooded figure and just say, “Nope, not today crazy stalker dude!” and just go home…. I mean, if I’m starting to tire of the repetitive creepy stalking, they have to be too. I real hope we get a good payoff at the end of this season and next season takes on a different format. Oh… and….. KOL!!!!!!! If I can’t have him on The Originals I’ll take him here in an even trade for Toby…..

Such a good point! I had only been thinking about the hospital scene but looking back human Elena was the only one with the consideration to even address it. These characters get less and less likeable every episdode.

Thank god he's pretty, cause Tyler really is dumb as dirt.... Heck dirt might even be winning that contest. I thought the same thing, it came off as a tad insensitive. Although, to be fair, Elena is in mortal danger every other week so maybe being a little desensitized to the whole thing is to be expected. I'm usually a big Caroline fan but I haven't loved her this season and the finale was no exception. IMO this Steroline storyline has done her no favors this year. Her character has come across as very needy and unreasonable, almost resembling season 1 and backtracking on any character growth we have seen. I mean, again with the "Stefan didn't profess his feelings for me over my dead mom's corpse!" On another front- I kinda think she lost the right to give Tyler any relationship advice once she boned the guy who killed his mom......... and I say this as someone who is a fan of Klaus and Caroline! I'm starting to wonder if maybe I don't really like the character that much when Plec and Dries start writing for her as one of the leads? On a positive note I thought Alaric was AMAZING in his scenes. Light years beyond any of the other dramatic scenes we have seen on this show lately. Stefan, Kai, Bonnie, Elena, Matt were also really enjoyable this episode. I also found it amusing the vampires of the group thought making it 60 years was a given..... Ummm guys have you watched your show?? You boneheads have a new mortal enemy trying to kill you every 3rd episode!

I say go for it! Tell them you’re on a social media site pimping Cami’s character. Sadly knowing the egos of the Executive producers of this show, you’ll probably only walk away with a signed picture of Julie Plec and coffee mug stating ”I heart Michael Narducci!” LOL

Apparently you have to receive a paycheck from the The CW to understand Cami's appeal. Personally, I find her to be an annoying wet towel....

So before episode's end Elijah is accepting a drink from Klaus and Klaus is waxing about fate to Cami? This does not bode well for my season 3 viewing........ I agree it was predicable and anticlimactic, personally it would have been more daring if Klaus REALLY was working with Dahlia and they actually killed some of the dead weight on this show. As usual I loved Claire but that's all I got.

I know! Shocking Julie Plec doesn't appreciate us more??? LOL

Klaus's jacket is ugly... actually not much of a fan of his wardrobe this entire season. Sorry for the shallowness, I got nothing else.

I enjoyed the music this episode. Besides that.....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

MN has actually made me reconsider my stance on Julie Plec being The Worst. Besides from everything previously mentioned I love when he or his writers comment they don't pay attention to the ratings...... Ummm, maybe you guys should? I understand artist integrity, but let's not pretend you're Edgar Allan F'en Poe. If you're show is not received well by the audience you're all out of jobs. I don't know, seems pretty simple to me. Maybe that's the lesson MN should learn!
