  1. Hmmm, it very much seems like Morgan is not over Ava. I hope she takes advantage of that. Morgan/Ava forever! Anna and Sloane are so very skinny! I have mixed feelings about them. Sloane has been such a weird character, but I've oddly liked their vibe since the murder. But I also loved how grossed out Anna was, and how surprised she seemed that Sloane WASN'T grossed out. But I think it was too soon for sex. A drunken makeout, sure, then Sloane can pine while she's away. I had a hard time concentrating wheil Morgan/Michael had their heart-to-heart on the floor of the ring. From the canera angles you couldn't see any of the clothes they had on, so it kind of creeped me out.
  2. At first I thought it was related to the hairpiece, but then figured it was something to pull your skull back, to emulate a face lift.
  3. I LOVED that last scene with Cromwell and Henry. Henry just comes across as SO nervous that Cromwell won't get over his outburst - the weird grin, fidgeting with his hands, the compliments. Cromwell played that right, keeping (mostly) mum during the council meeting and their walk. I wish this has been 8-10 eps total. 1 more is not enough!
  4. I really enjoyed this episode, it went by way too fast. Though I do think they burn through plot way too quickly. I was pretty surprised that Lucious knew Camilla knew about his ALS and wasn't worried about it. Did they show him blackmailing her to get her to leave? That's what it seemed like, as why else would she go without the money? Hakeem is so adorable, and I love him with Jamal. I need more scenes with those two. Go on Cookie, get yours. She's only been with Lucious (well, he's the only man she's been with, who knows what happened in prison), so good for her jumping on Malcolm. Besides the number of shares being diminshed, Andre's shares were converted to B (?) shares, which didn't have voting power. I think that, more than the number, was the biggest deal. I do believe Cookie deserves shares, more than Lucious, but it was slimy of him to just do it, no discussion. The timeline of the flashback is really bothering me though. It was, I assume, Andre's junior year in college (it being his 1st break), so he's around 21. Jamal and Olivia are married (Andre calls her his sister in law), so Jamal is at least 18. Hakeem in the flashback looks 10, max, but he's 19-20 now (I think that was mentioned, or least that he's not legal to drink, plus I think that would line up with how old he looked when Cookie was sent away, maybe?). Did they say how long Jamal and Olivia were married for? She clearly got pregnant towards the very end of the marriage as the Lyons didn't know about it. Going from Hakeem, I feel like the flashback was 10 years ago, but given Lola's age, it probably wasn't more than 6? I don't know why my suspension of disbelief is not working as it usually does.
  5. How did I not know there were only 11 episodes? I am crushed there are only 2 eps left. This was such an entertaining episode. Most of the high points have been mentioned, but I weirdly adored Cookie basically vomiting in her mouth after taking that last shot, almost doing it again, then burping. Oh, I've been there. I would adore flashbacks to Cookie's time in prison. I feel like the essence of Cookie has always been there, but her time inside has only reinforced her need to always speak her truth (whether that lines up with actual reality or not aside), because she can't waste time with any BS.
  6. To me, he has sort of a Michael Fassbender look to him, which, if nothing else, would make me watch all 6 episodes, but thankfully there's a lot more to offer (in terms of the character itself and the show).
  7. I like Spencer too. I love how much he exasperates Nikolas and I love his melodrama. Not a fan of the kiddie quad, though. I loved his relationship with Britt - I am a sucker for non-biological bonds like that. A part of me did wish he did go with Britt, then he could returned all SORAS'ed. Sad to see Britt go, I enjoyed her quite a bit. I hope she gets to get away from Faison ASAP. I don't read spoilers so I was mildly expecting/wishing that Britt was going to stay because of Nathan getting shot, even if she ended up in jail. I'm surprised, now that they have a prison set, the RC didn't want to do a whole Orange is the New Black sl: Britt, Ava, Carly, Nina all in jail. I wonder if Franco will do a stint and be put in with Sonny. Ha. They deserve each other. I honestly didn't mind the Nina/Franco scenes, thanks to that baby. So cute. I hope she's Morgan's. But gah, get them away from Kiki, she's horrible.
  8. This was very tough to watch, but I thought they did a very good job. Writing rape into fiction is always tricky, and even my favorite series have used it too much as a plot point (even my beloved Outlander), but from the short aftermath we've seen so far, I think they are handling this well. The scene between Mary annd Catherine was great, and I appreciated the call back to one of my favorite s1 episodes and didn't drop that vital part of Catherine's history. Unfortunately, Mary can't appear weak, hurt, victimized, at least not in public. Royals were viewed as 'more' than other people, they are seen as being annointed by God. If they are viewed as someone who can be hurt just like any other man or woman the whole systems starts to crack. And I do think we'll see Mary lash out because she has to playact like nothing is wrong. I'm pretty petrified for Greer and Castleroy - man, if Mary ever traces that back....watch out. And I have to wonder if this will harden her towards Protestants. On to the rest. I did kind of love Francis' bug-eyed crazy act. Narcisse's expression when he was all, 'eh, they'll survive....somehow' about Mary and the baby was pretty great. Also, loved Bash just straight up killing that dude. I don't know why, but no-nonsense killer Bash is my favorite.
  9. As Netflix just added this to streaming, I watched this episode last night. I can honestly say it was one of the most disturbing things I have watched in a very long time. I just sat on my couch, stunned, for a while after it was over. Very well made and I can't wait to dig into the rest of the series - but this isn't a series I can see myself bingewatching!
  10. SO happy that Greer went through with the wedding. They've made Castleroy into such an interesting and sympathetic character. Narcisse is not only great in the sack but a MASTER of the long con. Wow. I assumed it would be Catherine or Mary walking into Francis' confession, or maybe even Conde - I actually gasped when it was Narcisse. And the character may be a slime, but I find him so, so sexy - a benefit of seeing him on Spartacus. I am intrigued by him and Lola. Conde isn't the most interesting of characters, but he's another looker, that's for sure. ADORED that Catherine isn't being a celibate widow. If I didn't mishear, she has a few men in her rotation. Good for her. And I really loved that she read that sex journal in an HOUR. And that random - 'Please, your hair!" to than blond. She is a treasure. I love Kenna more and more, but it would be nice to see her with her hubby once in a while.
