  1. I suspect a great deal of those tears were from embarrassment, frustration and defeat.... I'm curious about his daughters Mom and her thoughts on all of this....
  2. Meh I'm definitely not bothered by the color of who she is keeping or sending home. You like who you like. In general we're the 4th wall, and a producer edited 4th wall at that. Were getting cutting room edits. I often wonder if she is privy to see what we see before she makes her decisions. I've probably watched 3 Bachelor seasons and only the original Bachelorette season, so to those who know more, does the Lead get to see footage of what we see at some point? I'll make another observation about Will. He was far more comfortable with Rachel on the group dates than the one on one. He was physical, playful and they did some lip locking. I was actually surprised how reserved he was on their date, because I didn't expect that based on their previous interactions.
  3. I just don't think there will be a Black Bachelor anytime soon. The masses will have to be content with " Flavor of Love" and that other Football "Ultimate Catch" show with Chad Occocinco".... (digs hole and jumps in from shame that I remember those shows) lol What is he even saying here? It's complete gibberish! As I said earlier, it may be producer driven, but I have yet to see a meaningful coherent conversation between them.....
  4. ME TOO!!!! Are we the only ones? It's my only reference. I've been trying to figure out which of these guys is "Ryan like" because Ryan and Trista are heading into their 15th year of marriage clearly she chose wisely. Maybe if you put Dean and perhaps Peter together you get a somewhat "Ryan"? lol Same! lol I've worn out that Bachelorette 2017 Cast page trying to figure out who is who reading the posts here lol
  5. I've noticed the times people are pointing out where she seems to be chasing him, but that hot tub scene looked mutual to me....so I'd say who knows what's really up.
  6. I sincerely apologize. I could have expanded on that thought, but I was already long winded. I think those issues need to be dealt with, worked on and resolved in some way, before getting involved in a serious relationship (especially one supposedly ending in marriage). No one is perfect, but when those issues are festering and not dealt with beforehand, they take on a new life in a relationship.
  7. I'm shook by next weeks previews! Does Peter finally tell Rachel " I'm not that into you?" He says he feels bad knowing he's the reason she's crying.... I grew up like Rachel and Will. I didn't date until college. I lived in a Predominantly white neighborhood, I went to a predominantly White Highschool where even the Black guys dated the white girls. All that changed in College, where dates became plentiful! I dated all races and ended up marrying a man from India. Go figure.... She seemed jarred by his admission of dating mostly white girls. I may have read her wrong (and she did say the date was already limping along before he admitted that) but I think that sealed it. Eric is just not growing on me, and I don't see the match. His Mommy issues will become your issues Rachel.... drop him. I'm still waiting for Bryan and Rachel to have an actual conversation..... Kenny should have been gone long ago... I'm surprised Alex is gone and what's his name and what's his name are still there.... As far as who will be the next Bachelor I think with 100% certainty, he will not be black... If the Peter scenario that seems to be eluded to in the beginning of my post comes true in this way "I care for you so much Rachel that I want the best for you, and I'm not it... followed by long monologue leaving them both crying" That is your next Bachelor.....
  8. lol lol lol My ultimate pet peeve is "I seen" if that comes out of his mouth, I'll have to launch into the Tyra Banks monologue.....
  9. Speaking of Lee, I rocked my daughter's world when I told her that Lee's hair was channeling "Something About Mary" .....she had never seen "Something About Mary" and googled it...... I then simply told her "You're welcome" lol lol
  10. I haven't seen anyone mention the conversation between Anthony and Eric. Eric was insinuating that Rachel liked White guys better. (see Rachel if you had kept Iggy, you could have been informed of that little tidbit lol) Anthony's measured response and articulation of his thoughts was very impressive! I hope Rachel is paying attention to Anthony, if she's really serious about finding a potential life partner. Grace under pressure goes a long way in a real relationship away from the "fantasy suites". Eric OTOH can go at anytime. Can you imagine Eric's popoff if he was chosen by Rachel and had to watch the show back? The rage-o-holic potential is strong in that one. My daughter and I watch the show together, both of us think Peters hurt and confusion at not getting the rose was just an act. We think Rachel most likely whispered into his ear that she was keeping him but wasn't going to give him the rose for appearances purposes during the hot tub tango..... Bryan and Rachel have not had one meaningful conversation (that producers have shown) Deans little call out of Bryan was telling.. anyone notice that? He's not buying it. Speaking of Dean, he's young, but for some reason it doesn't bother me. Visually Rachel looks the same age as he does (not that it matters, but something I noticed). I will say this: The conversation Dean had about his mother was the single most authentic moment on this season of The Bachelorette. Alex and the letters (do we like this?) I'm neither here nor there.. Hopefully Will is on her radar. The way he handled Lee was perfection! That's partner material! Josiah can go... my cringeometer goes into overdrive when he's talking to Rachel. I wince...., I put my hand over my eyes.... He doesn't have self awareness either. The producers are having a field day with him. Last week he was carrying on with the Trophy kissing it, while Rachel was in the back kissing Peter.... yikes man! I agree with the person upthread who said Kenny's injury is most likely from walking into a wall or blowback from punching something out of anger and the shards nicking his eye..... That one on one where Jack tried to make "Jack happen".... not much more to say that hasn't already been said.... Did I leave anyone out? There's a random guy left whose name I don't know, that can't bode well for him..
  11. Notice I didn't include Will. (I actually just typed out a longer response to this episode, including how impressed I was with the way Will handled Lee. My laptop died and I lost all of it lol ) I'm going to try and retype what I can remember.
  12. THIS! THIS! and THIS! I don't hate Lee. Lee is necessary. If I'm trying to weed through men for a potential relationship, I want to see how you deal with conflict. When the fantasy fake dates and such disappear, this is what you will be living with. Based on the after math of "Hurricane Lee" the Losers are Kenny, and Eric.....
  13. She still didn't pick him though, no matter how it was edited. He was soo on my Radar!
  14. He had me at NEXT! when he said "I have a daughter"....
  15. Soo much cringy goodness! The snark here is even better! Whomever called that foolish dude Lucas "Sham Wow" you had me laughing so hard I almost woke my dog up lol lol Props to you all remembering the names! I need thumbnail photos whenever you refer to the guys, like those children's books with the sentences interspersed with small pictures of the characters in the story. I'm going to do my best to remember the names. Here we go: Eric: Bye... sorry Eric can go from zero to 100. It's leaning into the rage-o-holic territory. If you have ever been around people like this, or have been in a relationship with this type, you would show them the door. People like that can be unbearable and make everyone around them miserable. Anthony: I'm mentioning him because there was a part of his date that cracked me up! People were pointing and screaming Rachel's name. He piped up and was like "This is the One on One" lol Bachelor lingo is just part of our everyday recognizable language. lol lol Peter: Distractingly attractive :yes! Is he into her? I thought he was until I read this board. She did pull him in for their first kiss, not the other way around... I noticed something else (and this just may be editing) When the guys did the stripper challenge on Ellen. The camera showed Peter in the middle of a bunch of adoring women, as opposed to the shots of the other guys who had to choose a victim and proceed with the bump and grind/ squat and roll it up! YMMV Kenny: Men with children were a deal breaker for me when I was single. I may have made an exception for someone who was a Widow, but other than that it was a big fat NO from me. If I were Rachel he would be gone. Instant Motherhood on top of an already unconventional stressful situation, has big fail written all over it! Will: May have a serious contender here... Alex: Hot..yes... Here for Rachel? or to be the next Bachelor? Dean: Here's another one that she seems more into them, than they are into her.... He seems awkward in conversations with her. Bryan: I buy into his charm everytime, this after always having a feeling when he appears on screen, that his entire shtick is an act.... Random observations.... Is there a prop room in the house? Where do these guys keep getting these dumb toys and such they stunt in front of Rachel with? I'm low key with the poster that pointed out Dimarios situation as not as "shady" as she made it out to be. Only one person can win, so he made sure he kept a back burner buddy lol lol Her dragging of him was enjoyable, but as others pointed out, most likely scripted. The Cast off show show will suck! They'll probably spend 30 minutes on Lucas and "Hall Monitor Guy"can't remember his name going back and forth on yet more made up drama..... KidCamp guy was pitiful. He thought he had it in bringing that old yearbook past connection, kiddie camp thing and it backfired... Not much to say about the rest...
  16. I may be confused as to what you mean. That night, whomever got the highest score ,received immunity and could not be voted out that week no matter what their scores were the previous week. Voting is fluid week to week, but we could extrapolate that she theoretically was ahead of Bonner, Nick and Nancy since she outlasted them, but who knows... If what you are saying is to be believed, then the assertion is that the judges knew who was going home before the competition that night, and manipulated the scores to keep a contestant in. I guess I'm holding out hope that type of cheating isn't going on.
  17. Were talking about Immunity week, which was purely based on dance. David and Rashad were able to challenge Normani and beat her with voting, and a sliding scale when it came to Dance. Heather would have been judged on the same scale as Normani.
  18. Momentum is a thing, and I think Maks gets high on that. I didn't see a "Disney clunker" repeating. I also think pound for pound Heather is the one dancer that could challenge Normani...
  19. She had only danced once with Maks prior to that. He comes back and they get the first 40. As it played out that night, none of the others you mentioned were a threat.
  20. Well that night they didn't have to give her immunity, she and Val had the best dance and deserved the top score. The only real threat to immunity for them had been Eliminated the week Prior ,Heather and Maks. I guess one could argue they decided to make that the immunity week, but I'm guessing each shows theme and format is planned well in advance of the results.
  21. That guy was like some type of Junior High hall monitor though! Has he not heard of the phrase "When someone is digging a hole don't take away their shovel..."?
  22. Rachel....Rachel...Rachel.... please blink your eyes twice or give us some sign they pushed that dude, otherwise I'll have to rethink everything I thought you had going for you..
  23. So did she know this before not giving him a Rose? I was sooo smitten with him I wanted to give him the golden buzzer like on Americas got talent and send him to the finals!!
  24. I can't speak for those bands, but I recently saw the "New Edition" mini series, and the actors had to reproduce the actual choreography that the original group performed. The actors said it was incredibly difficult, and thought they may not be able to pull it off. I agree that the dance ability of those groups vary across the board.
  25. I missed the "Rashad logged 100 more hours than all the dancers" part. I read it here first. ( I was in and out of the finale). While that's commendable, How do practices normally work? Are the Pros available at all times to do all the extra time? What about Celebs that have kids, do they spend time with them or are they pretty much away from them the whole time? We saw Normani traveling for work and Laurie had the same situation last season. Simone had some obligations this season too. I'm all about hard work, and having been in the performing arts personally myself and as a Parent, I get that time has to be put in. While that says he has a great work ethic, I don't automatically look at the others as lesser or lazy. I've been in several dance clinics and classical music masterclasses. The number one question that is always asked of the professional without fail is, "How Many hours do you Practice?" The students are always surprised when it's not as big of a number as they image. The professional will go on to talk about quality of practice vs quantity. I think that is individual for everyone. I've seen dancers/ musicians pick up and perfect a dance or learn a piece in half or less the time it takes another dancer/ musician. I by all means want to give Rashad credit where it's due, but I've seen that being thrown around in other group discussions, as a reason he deserved to win. I just don't see it that way. Frankly I don't think anyone "deserves" to win, especially in a contest set up like this. Whomever wins... wins.
