  1. I missed her comment about Rachel being black being a factor, but I wasn't listening uninterrupted. I was also having trouble wading through Reality Steve's feigned sympathy. He was like a male Nancy Grace. My eyes couldn't roll harder with some of his retorts. That being said, Peters ex was saying what many think anyway. Wasn't there some statistic that black women are the least requested on dating sites or something? The fact she said it out loud was tacky, but unfortunately tons are thinking it... My husband is from India I'm black. The guy I dated before him was White, neither had dated outside their race prior to me so same as you. The no make up thing was something I picked up on and even commented here back when the show aired. I mentioned this to my daughter when we were watching it as well. His rant about Bryan's cheek implants and Miami womens fake "parts" made me think he most likely was not fond of Rachels eyelashes, make up,and hair extensions. .. Methinks I'm right after seeing that text...
  2. I just remember a much talked about ex on the show that butted heads with Bryan's Mom. I don't know about Rachel's exs, except she seemed to be crying over one when she and Peter had their big break up. Again, Peter said he wasn't going to propose on her face and her families face during hometowns, and pretty much everytime it came up before then, even Byan and Eric knew, soooooo... I just assumed producers encouraged her to keep him around.
  3. Meh. I was unimpressed with that podcast. I was turned off by her invoking the "metoo" movement as a reason to go to "reality Steve " of all people. What she described was no "Metoo" abusive relationship. It sounded messy. Those texts also seemed contrived and odd, like she knew at some point she wanted to share them. Her end of the conversation seems to fit that profile. I don't find Rachel a victim either. She needed to admit she was smitten with the "pretty boy" (I know ymmv as to his attractiveness, but many find him distracting in a good way) so much so, that he was the most uncertain and unstable of the final 6, then 4 and she kept him to final 2... come on really? The voyeur in me would love to hear podcasts from Rachel and Bryans exs...
  4. Does anyone foresee an unknown adult Amerasian man/woman showing up looking for "Jack" as the result of his stint in Vietnam? This show will most likely be on for ages, and I can see this happening...
  5. The ringer thing is the dead horse that can't be beat enough on this show. Frankly if I could dance I would own it and move on. I know they want to talk up the "journey" and all, but at the end of the day it's about voting for your favorite dancer end of story. Many come in with some type of advantage whether it's experience, popularity, or both. At this point I personally want them to "shut up and dance" lol I thought they would make them redo the Argentine Tango. I thought Len didn't like it or something and I think I remember others here speculating that may be the comeback dance.
  6. It's a meaty role or roles I should say. He took over for the original actor in the Broadway production (Anthony Ramos) and played two roles. John Laurens and Philip Hamilton.
  7. Just off the top of my head. (I'm a "Hamilton fanatic so probably not the target audience. My daughter goes to Columbia in NYC and has seen it, which is how I got wrapped up in it lol) They could have done a patriotic music through time sequence maybe going from Aaaron Copeland and ending up with the opening theme to "Hamilton" even if you don't know anything about Hamilton that opener is extremely catchy and infectious. I think it could have worked. I've seen several Dance groups do some spectacular tap routines to the opener. I guess well never know. My other thought is that maybe they didn't get the rights to do the music, ,but I saw the article referenced above about Hamilton a few weeks ago. It didn't seems like Lin had an issue with it,but I don't know who decides these things.
  8. This all day! That's the exact wording I used when watching it live. I too saw it as clunky with awkward transitions, and actually not much actual dance. I am shocked people are calling it iconic. It pretty much looks like her shows. I have no idea who will win, but it's about votes. at the end of the day, as Tom says "vote for your fave". I think Jordan and Lindsey should win (it's so confusing reading about the pairs when there's two Lindseys lol) based on their body of work, but again it's about votes. I somehow thought that Jordan's Freestyle was going to be "Hamilton" based. I'm surprised Lindsey didn't consider that.
  9. ahh I should have picked that up, it was hard to tell what was tongue and cheek with the descriptions lol. I actually did Colorguard at the highschool / DCI level and Dance team in Highschool, which is why I responded as I did. There are some guards out there, just like there are some Cheerleading teams and drill teams, that leave much to be desired, but at the top levels it's an entire different ball game. Getting back to the subject, Randall's answer was clueless, cheerleading tryouts are always at the end of the prior year, he couldn't just walk in and demand she be on the team anyway. I side with the bio Mom on keeping her at her school UNLESS she was receiving an education that was not up to standards.
  10. This is definitely not accurate and I'm guessing it depends on your exposure and experience. Drill team is not the "Best" of the three it is just one of the three. Cheerleaders at the top level can be some of the most athletic groups around. The training that it takes can be relentless. Considering the competition groups have dance breaks inserted, it takes a combination of athleticism, rhythm and skill for groups at the top of their game. I've seen some amazing Cheerleading groups from Tots to College level comprised of girls of all colors. Colorguard is where you were most wrong, or maybe you've never seen the real deal. Yes Colorgaurds do flag work, but the real ones do soooo much more. Did you know there is an entire organization called WGI where Colorgaurds at levels from Middle school to young adult compete? They dance, wear elaborate costumes and don't do just flag work, they also work with rifles and sabors it requires a major amount of coordination dance and skill as well. They also are members of Highschool bands, and a another organization called DCI (a summer program that is marching band on steroids) Some of the best dancers around are members of Colorguard. Here's DCI : Drill team is sometimes a blanket term and it gets interchanged with Dance team, I'd only be speculating as to which style she was referring to. It could be the style popularized by HBCU majorette teams like shown on the show "Bring It". Dejas just 12 so I don't see how a Marching Band would be involved in an Elementary school or even Middleschool activity or it could be more on the drill team dance end. okay I have to slip this one on here, because it showed up on my Dance/Drill team search... it was definitely LIT who knew BYU had it goin on like that lol
  11. It depends on the style of dance. I think Brynns body type and lines do fit what I've seen in the YAGP circuit.
  12. OMG! one hour of the wrestler vs the racists I was so bored. Dean said everything that needed to be said, the rest kept reinventing the wheel so to speak.... btw Dean is the truth, which is why I trust him about Bryan... Lastly, because this segment was a waste, the entire time I was yelling at my screen "Where is Blake K!" That's all I got..
  13. so since this is the spoiler thread as well. Has all of this Reality guy Steves predictions been true. What is his layout for this 3 hour deal next week? Somehow I go to his page and get lost.
  14. That was the other thing I wanted to talk about! How did he describe his occupation? I thought I heard "Doctorate" thrown in there, so I looked it up and the internet said "Graduates of chiropractic schools receive the degree Doctor of Chiropractic" maybe that's what I heard. My daughter is premed at Columbia U in NYC. she has spent the entire summer studying for the MCAT and shadowing physicians. She'll be in school forever. It appears it takes forever to become a Chiropractor too. Maybe that's another reason why he isn't settled....... nah it's definitely Olga....
  15. I think she looks a lot like Robin Givens! Rachel is beautiful (to me), but I've seen many who don't think Rhianna or Robin are gorgeous... we have the internet to thank for that. Peter was a model for years, he was surrounded by beautiful women with insane bodies (I saw a pic of him with an ex). I could see Peter pulling a Brian like in the movie "Something New" (for those that have seen that movie.)
