  1. I'm new around this board. The school truck crash case brought me over here. This is why it is a bad idea to give teenagers a vehicle. People don't respect things they didn't have to work to pay for and vehicles are an especially good example. Vehicles can and do kill people. If that boy had to work to pay for that truck and the insurance, he probably wouldn't be letting his friends play around in it. (I saved up and bought my first car - a 1970 something pink Super Beetle for $500 in 1990. I had to buy my own gas and pay the insurance. I didn't dare let my friends drive it, and I took care of it.) This was one of the first cases in a long time that I was able to watch because it was a real case ~ not people fighting over a cell phone bill, unpaid rent, and/or cheap garbage furniture/miscellaneous household goods. The video of the crash! What was she doing? Crash Burlison indeed! The halterview when Crash Burlison was saying she has been harassed and bullied because of the crash...well, yeah! You crashed someone else's truck into the school! People are going to have plenty to say about that! She didn't seem concerned or remorseful about what her actions so I'm sure that plays into her skewed perception of what people were saying. I can kind of see where the mom was coming from by filing the lawsuit but at the same time, no. That smarmy son needs to get a job and pay for the truck and in the future buy his own vehicle. On the defendant side, I hope those parents are holding Crash responsible for the damages, but sadly, I don't think they are.
  2. I've never been to therapy but my very difficult to deal with bi-polar sister went to therapy and counseling. After her counseling or therapy sessions I would get calls from her w a bunch of bullshit her therapist/counselor told her to tell me. It was always some crap about how *I* (or our mom) had victimized her. She would even give me psych diagnosis her counselor/therapist had slapped on me. All based on my crazy sister's lies. No self awareness or insight. All therapy/counseling did was give her lots of psycho babble to spew on everybody else. I think it difficult to find a good therapist or counselor these days. Cate reminds me of my sister. Time wasted on therapy and counseling and they seem to get worse instead of better. My sister also gave up a baby for adoption.
  3. Maci's new house looks like a semi-successful country singer star built it. It's like a CMT version of Cribs. On par with Graceland. It looks like it has a guest house which I think is super neat.
  4. I'm glad to see Tyler doing something, and I think it's remarkable what he has done with that octagon house. He has put so much work into that place and much of it he has done himself. At least he is doing something productive. Home renovation is enjoyable and it is addictive. I'm in the middle of renovating a tiny house that I got for free, and I'm quite enjoying working on it. Maybe Tyler can turn this into a career.
  5. I love that blue Tyler used in that room. It is also in their previous house. The table is pretty too, and so is the ceiling.
  6. This. All this. I've posted before about my situation being adopted at birth by my parents, and I was raised probably much like Carly (raised in a nice, clean home by loving attentive parents; stable marriage between my parents; productive, law abiding, sober parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles, etc). People like the Baltierras werent even on my radar and I would have been scared to death if someone like Butch came around pawing at me and talking crazy shit about being my "family" or whatever. I can positively say with everything that has been filmed and aired about T&C and all their trashy family, I would be horrified to be expected to have anything to do with people like them. They are gross people the entire lot of them and on multiple levels. Merely the single clip of Nova handing dog shit to Dawn the social worker would be plenty for me to see, and as we all know, that clip is a good example of how disgusting they are. Poor little Nova playing with dried up dog shit and grazing/scrounging cheetos off dirty carpet. There is plenty for Carly to see and satisfy any curiosity she may have about her bio family, and I'm sure adult Carly's reaction would be much like ours around here. Catelyn doesnt see this though because she doesn't know any different. The only thing I can see happening is if this shit show is still on when Carly turns 18, I can see her being harangued into (reluctantly) having something to do with them.
  7. This. All this. You articulated it perfectly. They weren't ready.
  8. I agree. Cate hasn't gotten past the adoption. I've said for years that I think her main barrier to accepting it and living a happy, fulfilling life is Teen Mom. She has to keep talking about it. I find that constantly talking about my problems makes me feel worse. Dwelling on negatives isn't good for anybody.
  9. Cate was only staying at Kim's house because they were keeping her close to make sure she went through with the adoption. Kim made it clear that she didn't like Tyler being with Cate and Cate would not be living there if she kept the baby. Even after Carly was born, Kim booted her. Cate was mostly living at dysfunction junction with abusive, drug addicts Butch and April. Also, Tyler made it clear he would break up with Cate if she didn't follow through with the adoption. Of all the moms and dads from both franchises, Cate's situation was the scariest and most depressing; even surpassing Amber (Amber and Leah at least had Gary). Cate was lacking in every single resource needed to give Carly an even half way stable life. It is sad and depressing for Cate but she made the most loving choice for Carly. When Carly was born, 16 year old Cate lacked money, a stable home, decent education, and even half way reliable support system. It took years for Teen Mom to take off and really pay the moms, and no one even knew that would happen. Perhaps I'm not remembering correctly, and there was someone willing to help her, but from what I remember there was no one. April and Butch mentally abused Cate about the adoption after the fact, but those two crack heads weren't going to offer anything to Cate and baby Carly. Tyler did not want Carly and he made that clear. All the moms had some combination of obstacles to hurdle, but not all of them. Cate was the only one who had every single obstacle imaginable. How was any of that positive for Carly?
  10. No, Carly is the biggest winner. Cate and Tyler were kids living in a world of shit. Carly would have been subjected to profound poverty while living with the abusive/crazy druggie duo of Butch and April. We can only speculate, but most likely if they had kept Carly they wouldn't have been picked for Teen Mom, and furthermore, who even knew TM would drag on for so long. We saw what life was like for Cate and Tyler and the sad conditions they were living in. There is no reason to believe the addition of Carly would have improved their lot, and realistically, it would have most likely made it much worse. Carly is the big winner.
  11. Those fingernails! Those sharpened to a point fingernails do not look good. Sorry but not sorry, that is ugly and it doesn't look good.
  12. I agree, but I know several fathers with 50/50 time who still have to pay exorbitant child support amounts. I only know one couple who agreed the CS was stupid since they have 50/50.
  13. Obviously, I'm behind on watching because I didn't know a new season started. I have to call shenanigans on Bristol and Dakota. The last part of the first episode and most of this episode they were wearing the same clothes while discussing their issues and it escalating to separation/divorce. It looks to me like their separation/divorce was planned all along (and they were probably already separated) but they kept it to do re-enactments and have drama for Bristol's story line for the show. I'm also going to call bullshit on Cate's "anxiety." Being uncomfortable and/or not really liking/wanting to do something is not anxiety but these days it seems to be labeled that way. I see this way too much with 20-somethings and younger; especially among popular youtube personalities. Graveyard girl is a good example. She goes on and on about her anxiety sometimes making hour long videos but really it seems like she is getting anxiety confused with just not liking or wanting to do something. We all have seen for years how lazy Cate is, and that laziness leaks into all aspects of her life. When confronted with anything she doesn't want to do or like to do, she throws down the "anxiety card" and then she doesn't have to do it. There are consequences for that and it gets her what she wants in the short term but look at how miserable she is.
  14. I'm only to the first commercial break but I almost can't with this shit Let me start with a huge wtf ~ Season 7 Ep 25??? What's going on that they are numbering the seasons like this? All this angst about the old girls meeting the new girls and making declarations about what they will do if the new girls don't bow to their authority. What?? Since when do worker bees get to pick their fellow workers and tell the bosses what to do? That's now how hierarchy works, but whatever. I guess it is part of the show producers' manipulations of these idiots. Last part for now: Did Ryan go to "long term rehab" or jail? I thought it was jail. Edit to add: Amber and her demands to Larry for "respect." Textbook delusions of grandeur.
  15. I think its funny how Barb is the only one left to film with Jen-yell now; especially funny since season before last Jen-yell was throwing tantrums demanding Barb be fired and not filmed! Barb is still being filmed and The Neanderthal is the one fired and not allowed to film. I love it!
