Exactly. But Susan was too late to save Brady from the shooting. And more or less "live tweeting" Ciara's attempted escape, really isn't a premonition either. 🙄

Did Lani and Eli really just throw their, likely loaded, guns into a hallway where anyone could just come along and pick them up? And then give up their cell phones? And then get tricked into being locked in a room? I know they need conflict, but really ..;. And is that how premonitions work? Like you can tune into an actual live happening event. Kinda like over the air tv antennas.

Also read on the DR site that their contract states that they must have filmed up to end of this season (sometime in Sep) by April 15th. So the lead time will definitely be many months again soon.

One of the mods on the DR site posted that while Bruce Evans did support the show, he was also one of the ones who would interfere with writing and storylines.

Not quite at "Nicole walks around town talking to herself" level of boring, but I nearly fell asleep watching today's episode. Not very exciting for sweeps. I think it would have made more sense for Vivian to have stolen the babies for revenge, than Ivan kidnapping them as a way of replacing her original twins. I'm a huge Cin fan, but not loving this storyline. Hopefully they have a reunion, but if VK isn't back for good, (I don't know how long she's back for) it obviously will be a short one. Susan is always over the top, and I liked Stacy's portrayal of her the last time, but all the screeching today was ridiculous. I guess the Chloe/Brady scenes were ok, but still boring. Hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting.

As an Ericole fan, I'm so hating the maligning of Eric. I know the actor probably doesn't want to come back anytime soon, but having Eric keep disappointing Nicole, with apparently no concern that he's doing so, is going to make it next to impossible for them to ever reunite and be happy. I wish they'd just have Eric die, so that Nicole can get angry, and mourn him, but be open to a future reconciliation, if the show continues long enough for that to happen. And by killing Eric off, at least she wouldn't be cheating on him, when she eventually gets with Rafe. Speaking of Rafe, I didn't miss him when he was gone, or Gabi either, however I do like their brother/sister vibe. It reminds me a little of Mike/Jen all those years back. It was. The red hair really suited her too.

I totally agree, and that's what makes it difficult being a Cin fan. I haven't forgotten his past, and still wish they'd never made him the necktie killer, but that was a different writer, the same one, wasn't it, who made Joey a murderer and Chase a rapist, and maybe even wrote that "romantic" Hope kills Stefano and covers it up with her soon to be new love's help. 🙄

The episodes got out of order when a hockey game scheduled for the Thanksgiving holiday didn't happen. So Horton tree ornaments and Hospital children's reading aired one day earlier than planned. I know lots of fans hate Cin, because of Ben's past, and I understand that, but it's their "fierce loyalty" to each other, plus the slow burn that they romance took, that (for me) makes them the closest to a 80's super couple that Days has had in a long time. I wasn't watching before GV became Eric, so not sure how I'd feel about a recast, since that's how it would feel to me, despite the fact that JA was Eric before GV. There's just too many new faces right now, that I'd rather they temporarily have Eric go missing in Africa and be presumed dead than recast the role.

I thought today's episode was the weakest of the Christmas ones. It just didn't seem very festive. Funnily enough, I didn't notice the snuffy baby sounds, but I'm sure not that I'm aware of them, that's all I'll hear from now on. 😄

LOL. And yet, imo, it made more sense than Chloe suddenly bursting out into opera-like song during a phone call.

Even though they're not perfect, I'm really enjoying the week of Christmas episodes. Since most of us won't be having a normal Christmas, it's nice seeing our Days families spend time with their family members. It was definitely strange though, not having real-Jennifer or Hope at the Horton Christmas Eve. But lovely seeing Doug (Bill Hayes) still looking so good at 95 year old. Even though I didn't expect him to show up, I didn't like the Eric tease. I really miss him, and hate that GV left right after the wedding. But if he's not coming back anytime soon, then he needs to be presumed dead in Africa so Nicole can move on. But hopefully not with Rafe. Why did they bring him back anyway? As a Cin fan, I enjoyed the scenes today. Again, I hate that like Eric and Nicole, they were split up minutes after the wedding. Hopefully having VK pop in for these scenes means there's a chance of her returning to the show. Nice seeing Will, for his brief scenes. But they not only didn't explain where he disappeared to, they didn't even mention Sonny! I realize it's probably a combination of Covid/budget, but it's so strange not getting to see any of the kids. Wonder if they'll even do the kids at the hospital? Loved the Chloe/Philip flashback. They were so young, and JKJ was so cute back then. Not quite sure what the point is of John's emotional outbursts, Presume after effects of the aneurysm, but why bother.

Unlike others here, Lani hasn't bothered me much, in fact I like her, and I've liked her friendship with Kristen. But she's being ridiculous right now, as a) Kristen is guilty of stabbing Victor, not like being framed or something, and b) if not for Eli, Lani would be in prison right now, and would either be about to give birth and raise her twins in prison, or give birth and say goodbye to her babies, and only see them on visiting days. Course if the visiting schedule is as open as Kristen's, that would probably be several times a day. LOL. Back to friendships, as I posted, I liked the friendship between Lani and Kristen, as ridiculous as it is, and I think I'm going to like the friendship between Ava and Kristen. Not the same as the 80s with Hope and Melissa, and the 90's(?) with the last blast gang, but still nice to see characters have friends, and not just significant others.

I know he was acting, but that's so sad to read, because Mike was always such a happy, fun character. I loved the big brother / little sister relationship between Mike and Jennifer.

I must be bored too, because I'm only watching a couple times a week, if that I missed yesterday and today, but the J&J storyline is not interesting me at all because I just can't see Cady as Jennifer.

Oh, ok, so they haven't explained how Gwen knew about the letter. I'm only watching off and on, so thought I missed the explanation. I LOVED Savannah and Chris. One of my favourite short-lived couples.

Really, really missing MR's Jennifer. Especially when it's been so long since Jack's been onscreen. Also on a day like today when we could have had flashbacks. Just Googled, and Cady is 2 years younger than Melissa, but she seems much older, and more matronly, and not Jennifer-y at all. I don't think anyone could easily take on a role an actress has played for 30 years, so I wish Cady well, but I think it's going to take a long time for me to see her and think Jennifer. I mean it took years for me to see Josh Taylor and think "Roman" and not Chris Kositchek. LOL. Loved John and Marlena going through the scrapbook. Nice to see JJ, and Theo too. I'm not missing Hope at all, as I've been tired of her since around the time Hope killed Stefano, and she and Rafe tried to cover it up. I do KA eventually comes back to the show, but for now, I'm fine with her being gone. Question ... how did Gwen find out this letter existed?

I've gotten so out of the habit of reading/posting here, and that is something I need to correct, because just reading this last page has made me realize how much I miss all you guys and your humour. I hope everyone has been staying healthy and safe. Just a couple random thoughts about the show: Seeing Bill Hayes on set and around other actors really stressed me out yesterday. I worry about him, and the other older actors, and really, all the actors. Watching Days, these days, you would have no idea these episodes were taped during a pandemic. I don't watch the other soaps, and certainly don't want dolls and spouses as stand ins, but in some ways, keeping the show normal is more distracting than if they were making pandemic choices more obvious. About temp/nu-Jenn, I've never see the actress before, so have no preformed opinion, and my opinion after yesterday's episode wasn't great. Giving her that long, boring letter to read was not a good decision. At the very least, if they were going to have a stranger (to the viewers) read the explanation of what happened to Hope, at least have some flashback pics while she read it. But, of course, that would cost money, not to mention they could hardly have flashbacks of the cousins when one cousin now has a new face. Sheesh. What a mess. Anyway, I'll give Cady a chance, but having never seen anyone other than MR play Jennifer, (I missed the Peter Blake era) it's going to be hard to get used to her. I know most here didn't like Cin, so are probably happy they've been split up, but I was a fan, and I miss them. I also can't believe after being a Ericole fan for so long, and them FINALLY getting their happy ending, that's when GV decided he didn't want to be on the show anymore. I get that he was bored, and felt underused, but wish he could have stayed even 6 more months, so we shippers could be happy for a show or two. Hopefully, maybe, he'll come back, before they move Nicole onto someone else. Anytime Rolf is around is good. And though he's a horrible person, I do like that Clyde is trying to do good by Ben. Orpheus, too, is a good visitor to the show. So I was happy with the little filler arc we got. So are we getting a Halloween show? Ciara's memorial is "tomorrow", and well Halloween is today, and there's no kids even in Salem to trick or treat, is there? Well, I guess there's Henry. LOL. Oh, well, it'll be Thanksgiving/Christmas in a couple"Salem" weeks. Meanwhile, Happy Halloween everyone. 🎃

I'm not familiar with Cady McClain, but will give her a chance, if it keeps the character of Jennifer, and Jack, in Salem. But it's going to be so strange with nu-Jennifer, nu-Claire, Eric-less Nicole, Ciara-less Ben, no Hope, MM's Abigail, etc. But then again, these are strange times everywhere.

I'm a fan of both Ericole and Cin, so having half of each couple leaving the show is depressing enough for me, but if they brought SC back as Eric, I think I'd lose my mind !!!
