  1. That can of Lysol wipes on the counter will be a precious commodity very soon.
  2. I’m wondering if Karen actually made that big ole meal Miles mentioned in the last episode for herself and just shared it with him.
  3. Henry has Christina saved in his phone as Christina MAFS 🤣🤣🤣
  4. Have we ever had a cast member pop up on social media during the season not turn out to have acted a fool at some point in the experiment? Taylor, Brandon, Michael for sure. Now I’ve seen Brett in a few places 🤣
  5. They are so cute. And I never thought I'd say it but I could take a LOT more Bennett and Amelia. As a matter of fact, if the show was mainly these two couples with a little of Miles getting actual affection from his wife, Karen showcasing her fashion and Henry's dry humor I'd be content. The only thing I need to see of Olivia and Brett are their cats. No ChristinA at all. Thanks.
  6. Someone posted earlier (last week maybe) that Brett was on Reddit defending himself and how production chose a storyline for him and is portraying him in a certain way. How do we know the same isn’t true for Olivia? Or any of these people? What real choice do any of them have in how they’re portrayed? Brett has made no secret of his feelings about budgeting and how it’s something “reasonable people” do. The producers fed him that line? Did he have to practice the condescending tone in which he said it?
  7. I haven’t seen long john’s in a long time. We Yankees tend to wear them under our clothes.
  8. Brett could have saved .03 cents if he would have put less cheese on that asparagus. Can’t believe he was so extravagant with his sprinkling.
  9. Brett didn’t even attempt to hide his disdain for Olivia’s spending habits.
  10. I will be foregoing the Brett bench this season but I sure as hell won’t be perched on one of Olivia’s antiques either. They’re like oil and water. As far as Woody/Amani, I am a little concerned about his stated desire for a honeymoon baby and this ex-girlfriend abortion reveal. I hope he isn’t trying to replace that pregnancy with another.
  11. Brett is an ass. Period. I even agree with him about sticking to a budget but what a butthole. Olivia’s no peach either. Their marriage is trash and they’ll be sniping at each other the rest of the season. I feel sorry for their cats actually. Getting used to new roommates and then being split apart again (as they inevitably will be when this experiment is over). I think Karen is making their age difference a bigger deal than it needs to be. She’s looking, hard, for the other shoe to drop and for Miles to disappoint in some way. I kinda think she might be okay with time but *shrug* could go either way.
  12. Olivia is tripping about Brett’s house. Rude.
  13. How was she supposed to know what he'd said to the guys when she was talking with the women? He overheard her rate the marriage a 7 from where she was standing at the bar. It doesn't appear that she was listening when he got all pissy about how degrading the ratings were - since she was at the bar.
  14. I would say I'm surprised at the vitriol surrounding Olivia but I'm really not. She basically said she works hard for her money and likes to enjoy it. So what? She works a lot and wants to treat herself to nice things. How is that wrong? Brett is cool with his 8-4 and drinking cheap wine with his cat by his side. Okay? They differ in this area and it's a big deal for her. This doesn't make her a bitch. At all. Being in a relationship with someone who doesn't make as much as you and then having to pay for any plans you make is exhausting. As Erykah Badu sang, "Every time we go somewhere, I gotta reach down in my purse to pay your way and your homeboys way and sometimes your cousin's way." That shit is tiring. Now, one thing Olivia could do is see if they could compromise about some things. What if they discussed saving/investing his income and living off hers once they moved in together? Of course that arrangement is only worth serious consideration if they were to make it through the experiment, which I'm betting they won't. Also, Brett was being intentionally obtuse in their conversation about what plans he had for when they returned home. Bet if Amani had asked Woody what plans he had, he'd have had a list as long as my arm about things he wanted to do/show/experience with her.
  15. I've been quiet about my feelings on Karen. I was thinking maybe she's just a more reserved person with a big appetite but I am agreeing with some of you that she may have some outdated/toxic views on what makes a man and maybe relationships in general. I wonder if she questioned the masculinity of the guy she was with that had a baby on the side. Probably not, because horndogging is "manly." But talking about your emotions/being emotional is somehow not. I'm worried about Miles (and everyone else) when the stay at home orders kick in. I won't make this personal (and we're all living through it anyway). This pandemic has been life altering. Worries about your family, your finances, etc., can wreak havoc on a relationship in the most mundane times. I could see any one of them becoming depressed when the shit really hits the fan. Miles might need Karen to be his rock just as much as she needs him to be hers.
  16. They’re unevenly yoked. She’s probably been in relationships where she’s made more money and then has felt like she has to dumb down her tastes or pay all the time. If a high income was a dealbreaker I can under why she’s upset that the experts ignored her wishes.
  17. Bennett’s feet are so dirty. Reminds of that guy a few seasons ago that lived in a bus. Disgusting.
  18. Brett and Christina both act like they’re above this entire experiment. Though they signed up for it.
  19. God knows I wish they’d have matched ChristinA and Brett. Her aggressiveness and his blatant assholery would have been very entertaining.
  20. Not just you AT ALL. It bothers me too.
  21. Brett’s a pompous ass. Ugh. Poor everybody that has to deal with him in any way, including us.
  22. Confession. The sight and sound of other people brushing their teeth is extremely off-putting to me. This episode, with them talking through it (and Woody having toothpaste spittle in his beard!) almost did me in.
