Is this the worst season? I skipped the Mia/Tristan season and my previous worst was S2 but this is trash.

This storyline is so stupid.

I’m watching late and I agree. Chris and Paige are such a waste of time.

There’s no way that shock collar would last through one episode of Virginia’s drinking. Even with Energizers, Chris and Paige would kill it dead. This episode was boring. I didn’t like how Jake assumed Hailey would be agitated IF he had texted her but that aside, I agree that he seems the most stable man of this disappointing season. Everyone else has issues. Clara should get a toy to get herself together and tell Ryan to go give a motivational speech to a plate of vegetables while she’s otherwise occupied.

My original post said MAFS groups. I was speaking of other places where the show is discussed as well as the few posts here that are comparing Mercedes/Paige.

I agree that Chris is the one to have built up this competition between the two. I feel like no matter who Chris was matched with, there was going to be some sort of issue because he was never done with Mercedes. His wife could have been his ideal woman and he'd still have created drama between the two because he's a chaos agent. Saying Champagne Vinny has a dad bod isn't the same as comparing Paige and Mercedes. When Mindy was the unattractive wife, we weren't directly comparing her to someone else that Zatch had been with. My issue is with the comparison because it has become a way (another way) Chris is allowed to justify his treatment of Paige. She's ugly, therefore who could blame him.

It saddens me that the conversation has turned to comparing the attractiveness of these two women. As someone else said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Chris judged Paige as unattractive before she was even fully in front of him. He said as soon as she turned the corner he knew he didn't find her attractive. Chris may have eagle eyes, but did he really even see her face in full before determining that or was something else a factor? Maybe it was her skin tone, maybe he realized he'd made a horrible mistake by doing the show and actually cared about Mercedes - as much as an asshole like him could have genuine feelings. Either way, Chris decided Paige wasn't it (but he'd still screw if she was amenable), and won't stop telling people just how unattracted to her he is. At this point he's told his friends, his family, her bridesmaids, us, the other grooms AND Paige (and probably Mercedes). The conversation with his friends could have been about how he's still in love with Mercedes and wants to be a family with their child on the way, but he brings up AGAIN how he feels about Paige's attractiveness. And now some of the larger discussion in MAFS groups has been debating/comparing Mercedes and Paige just like Chris.

Again, my problem with Erik is that he told Virginia on their honeymoon that he didn't believe in platonic relationships between men and women. After he made this statement, she said something about how she had a lot of male friends. She even related the story back to Clara later and she was crying over it. Erik's control issues are his issues and have nothing to do with Virginia. It's being excused because she seems to have a problem with alcohol and his control is masking itself as concern for her wellbeing but if he was with any other woman there would be an issue.

I think he was dismissing the conversation. Whatever his intentions were, that discussion didn’t go as he planned and he was pissed. He pulled up his phone when done with his friend and pastor. That was another way of dismissing the conversation.

I love that plant behind Paige. I can’t get mine to grow that big. This is foolishness, btw.

She’s immature and drinks way too much but Erik told her he had a problem with male/female friendships on the honeymoon.

I couldn’t deal with Erik. On top of Virginia needing to check in every other hour he didn’t believe she had platonic relationships with her male friends until they confirmed it to him. How long will it take for him to trust her to be off the leash for four hours? Who would put up with that shit?

Virginia, baby. Run. You in danger, girl.

The guys this season all have issues. I’m starting to think Jake might be the most emotionally stable. 😳

Erik wants Virginia to check in every 1-2 hours?!! Absolutely not.

Chris thinks Paige is ugly. Period. He’s just playing games with her, us, and the ex (unless she’s in on it).

Vincent and Jake are similar in that have wounds from previous relationships that haven’t fully healed. Jake has insecurities about Hailey lying and cheating because someone else lied and cheated. Vincent thinks Brianna is insulting him because someone else had no faith in him.

Chris: To Paige’s credit my ex is a wonderful woman as well. Chilllleeeeee Two minutes later: *I’m scared of falling in love with you.” I’m done.

As my mother would say, “If I were you I wouldn’t tell that story to anybody else.” 🤣

You know what trips me out about that? Other than it being dumb as hell. But why would Chris have unprotected sex with her knowing he’s not attracted to her and could potentially create another life with this woman he doesn’t even like. Wild.

Paige said Chris dragged her through dramatic bullshit but while she was being dragged she swore up and down it was God’s will. Make it make sense.

I know Virginia needed a drink after Pastor Cal left.

What is Vincent’s business? Does anyone know? I didn’t watch the first episode.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Miska had an Instagram account filled with pics of her complimenting her person. Clara seems like the type.
