Yeah, as @AheadofStraightnoted, they're trying to treat this like an old school drama, where they air a new season on a regular schedule every year.
-
Frank sucked here, to be sure, but what the fuck was Emily's deal complaining about the lack of footage?!
-
"I arranged this so that we can talk about our marriage. We can't keep putting this off. Okay, now I have to go to a meeting." What the fuck was the point of THAT by James? If he wanted them to talk, just talk THEN, why in the world would he do this big thing so that they could just schedule a talk LATER?
-
Yeah, I think she's right around top five. Five or six, I'd say. I love that Makensy just HAD to win the Final HOH and evict Cam, just to cement her place in BB history (along with all of the OTHER people who did the same dumb thing as her, but still).
-
I legit don't understand how hurting MJ has even factored into Chelsie's thinking here.
-
Yep, people really ARE delusional at this point. Josh also took Paul (which worked out, but still).
-
It is still amazing, in retrospect, to see Steve avoid it in BB17, because yeah, by this point, people really are just absolutely blinded by the delusional narratives that they've created in their heads.
-
I always point out that BB HGs are almost always mostly morons, so when a HG goes far in the game due to other players making moronic decisions, I don't begrudge them. And I still basically hold true to that position, but I will allow that Makensy is an unusually dumb HG this season. This isn't just normal stupidity, this is someone who actually instantly figures out the appropriate way to go, and then is talked out of it because she's unusually stupid.
-
Phew. That's something, at least.
-
The most iconic thing will, of course, will always be Janelle spending her catchup time with Michael learning whether Britney Spears had her baby yet.
-
Don't worry, Rubina will work on her hard and get her to change her mind. Oh, what's that? Rubina won't do shit? Oh, yeah, never mind. Is Makensy particularly stupid? Yes, but so was Cody and Cowboy, and Lane and Enzo, and all of Maggie's alliance mates. BB HGs are just typically pretty darn stupid, and when you give them THIS much time to overthink things, they're easy prey.
-
Oh, right, good call, final eviction and THEN the final vote. Yeah, you might be right that it is the first part that they intersperse with the recap.
-
No, they want it to be live for the show, then they'll start the first part of the F3 HoH live on Thursday. Then an episode on Friday (taped second part of F3 HoH, plus a trip down Memory Lane), and then on Sunday, the live conclusion of the F3 HOH followed by the final vote.
-
Yep, 100%. It's just absurd.
-
Yeah, it's one of those things where all you can do is get in your own head about it.
-
Yeah, OTT was a blast, but it definitely doesn't count. And yes, 1 was a whole other game.
-
Oh, sorry, I meant 9. Sorry, I'll correct the typo.

Second tier, with the other winners who controlled their seasons, but didn't really have to fight to win, so Hayden, Maggie and Derrick. I thiiiiiiiiiink Xavier belongs there, too, but I struggle with calling him the "leader" of the Cookout, but since everyone was fighting to protect Xavier all throughout that season, I guess he really was the de facto leader of the group. I put Steve at the high end of the third tier, which is basically "every other BB winner." I'd probably put Makensy right there with Steve if she won. Rubina would be there, as well, just lower (but, again, most winners are just thrown into the third tier, and I don't think of ranks very much. Like, was Lisa better than Nicole? Who the fuck knows? They were all just sort of there. Same with Rubina). I have Jag in that third tier, too, as he's a lot like Kaycee. Just sort of there, and then went on a competition-winning spree to separate himself from the pack, and since they were all just "there," no one hated them at the end. I don't even count the All-Star seasons, Dick's season or BB9. They weren't really "real" seasons. The trickiest winner for me to rank is Jackson. It feels wrong putting him in one of the top tiers, but that dude really did play a marvelous game. He was on the outs of the majority alliance for a good chunk of the game, and then pulled off one of the greatest mistings in the history of the game when he got Tommy eliminated.

Yeah, I'll agree that that was an odd complaint, since we all DID want Leah to nominate T'Kor and Chelsie. She just chickened out.
-
The DR has always tried to manipulate HGs to doing stuff that the DR thinks would make for better television (in this case it was to keep Angela in the house). Most HGs (even the dumb ones) are smart enough to know what the DR is doing, and ignore it. Makensy sadly wasn't smart enough to know what they were doing, and she fell for it. The DR, of course, presented to her like it was a SMART move for her to get rid of Leah, because she couldn't be trusted.
-
I'm still so irked at Makensy being all, "No, Chelsie, I am not going to fuck over Leah! I know it's better for you, but it's not better for me." Then she goes to the DR, "Oh man, Leah really IS a snake. I better get rid of her!"
-
The funny thing is that it is sort of a series of moves at this point. Makensy has her plan - evict Cam. Chelsie has her plan - try to convince Makensy not to evict Cam. Makensy in the past has shown she can stand up to Chelsie's arguments, but then... DR has ITS plan - and I don't know what that is. If the DR wants Cam to stay, the DR might try to convince Makensy to save him, and in THAT case, he probably stays. If it is JUST Chelsie, I think Makensy holds fast.
-
I generally agree, but I will concede that T'Kor's HoH was definitely the turning point of the season.
-
I mean, again, what are you going to do? She's a very good player. Very good players tend to win F4 HOH. I agree it's boring as fuck, but she certainly deserves the win. She's controlled this whole game. Even had she lost, she likely would have been 99% safe. While Chelsie likely just tells Makensy, Rubina, and Cam what to do with their DPOV, let's just assume they have freedom to do what they want. I thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink they would go: Cam: Votes out Rubina Makensy: Votes out Cam Rubina: Votes out Cam However, if Cam just does what Chelsie wants, then I guess Cam votes out Makensy. There is still at least a REMOTE chance of someone other than Chelsie winning F3 and choosing not to bring her to F2, Steve and Vanessa-style. That very logical decision occurred precisely ONE TIME in the history of the show, but it's always possible that it could happen for a second time this year (and I still ADORE the fact that Liz was shocked that Steve voted out Vanessa that year because Liz thought that she, LIZ, was the tougher person for Steve to defeat. LIZ!!!).

Of Kimo/Rubina, Kimo is 1000% more likely to vote Chelsie out, so Chelsie really needs to get Kimo out here. If he stays, he won't win HOH or DPOV, of course, so it's probably a moot point, just noting that keeping Kimo is a very bad idea for Chelsie (again, "very bad idea" means a 2% chance of her not winning versus a 1% chance, but still).
