  1. I really hate the Guidices with a passion of a thousand fiery suns so I am not excited to see them boo-hoo their way through this legal drama THAT THEY 100% BROUGHT ON THEMSELVES!! However, with that said, I am excited that there are other bitches coming on board who aren't at all associated with Teresa and her tabloid drama who may change the direction of this show. I am recent Jersey transplant and actually recognize some of these women in my new neighbors (not these women specifically but there is definitely a "type" here like them) so I am excited to watch the show and see the drama. It will be a sociological study for me to understand the new world I've entered! And my one housewife claim to fame is having lunch at a nearby town and seeing Caroline and Albert having lunch a few tables over. She looked very good in person and has great skin!
  2. Tanisha is unwatchable. Her husband is very unfortunate looking and yet gets booty on the side. He must talk a good game because boyfriend isn't attractive! I think they are all big old fakers trying to extend their 15 minutes. And Gretchen has obviously been told she is like Oprah and then adopted that stupid, stupid line that she repeated. Dear lord. She is the fakest fame whore of all. I don't know a lot about Trista and Ryan but they seem okay relationship wise. I guess we will see. This show is a car accident I can't turn away from. Oh the shame!!
  3. Shannon's dinner party had me rolling as I was resting on the couch after being completely exhausted from hosting 25 people for Easter dinner for which I did ALL the shopping, ALL the cooking and ALL the cleaning with no help. It can be done. And the food was delicious and homemade. Seriously, it can be done. I have to say I am loving Shannon and her husband's dynamic. I've known quite a few married people who are constantly tense and nitpicky in each other's presence. It's really uncomfortable if you are in the room with them, but really great television. (Small voice): I've called my 11 year old daughter a bitch behind her back to friends. I think Terry was trying to be funny when he did that. It fell flat, but I did understand what he meant. He's still a douce for the whole motorcourt thing. What the hell was that?!?!
  4. General observations from binge watching: 1). Don't give Hillary a budget under $30,000 and expect a new kitchen, new bathroom and completely renovated bedrooms. It's not the price of things. I suspect that this is producer manipulation. People who have such issues with their homes know the price if these things. I would guess that they would have researched different home improvement costs before going on this show. 2). Why can't they add money to Hillary's side of the equation? I saw two shows yesterday where David showed people homes over their budgets and they in turn decided to list. Well, if they added that money onto their house they may have been able to stay. Why not add some to your budget as the problems arise? Stacks the deck against Hillary in my mind. 3). I want to see the next steps when they decide to list. Do they actually get the price they thought? Do they end up getting the dream home they listed for? Are they happy in the end they moved? Feels a little rushed and incomplete when they decide to list.
  5. Agree Giselle on the Manzo'd with Children show (what does that even mean??!!) I couldn't care less about the Manzo's. They are so boring and annoying.
  6. I agree stewedsquash about them making this show more about these ladies and less about their relationships. They lead interesting lives, very different from mine and I would love to see what they do day to day, including managing their newfound fame from being on a reality show. It would be fascinating to get a glimpse of them being chased by paps or navigating an interview with a tabloid or booking time and showing up on Wendy Williams. I am very interested in that and would love to see it. I am not quite sure why the show wants to pretend that they are not on a show and thus not famous. We know they are! Let's see a little of that underbelly!
  7. I continue to loathe Brandi. On the one hand, she wants Lisa and Ken to be her family; on the other, she wants Lisa to leave her alone to handle her life the way she wants. We saw a whole season of Lisa mothering Brandi to the point that Brandi was very annoyed and telling her to leave her alone. It was not until Kyle and Lisa had a party together and seemed to be getting chummy again that Brandi decided that Lisa was so strategic and needed taking down. And then it wasn't until the reunion that she was all weepy about their familial connection and who everyone leaves her. BLAH! Which story is it, Brandi? Is Lisa a smothering, overbearing friend? A manipulative shit stirring shark? Or a surrogate sister/aunt/mother you can't live without? And why didn't Mr. Joyce or Joyce say ANYTHING about Carlton actually threatening to put a hex on people? She clearly stated at that painting party that she could bring some dark magic raining down if she wanted but then she acts all insulted that someone would insinuate that she actually brought the dark magic. So confusing. I felt kind of sorry for Lisa. I do think she manipulates things behind the scenes, but to some degree they all do. They all want to stay relevant and continue to be stars of this show. It was her turn in the hot seat and she doesn't handle it well. I love her relationship with Kyle and hope they can repair it. Why can't the ladies be more like the guys? Mauricio and Ken seem fine. Why can't Kyle and Lisa kiss and make up?
  8. I brought up the Kim thing because Kim was hurt that Lisa lied when confronted about her whereabouts and from Kim's perspective Lisa's denial or forgetfulness of being at Sur (she was caught and lied about remembering) is more icing on the cake. Lisa didn't acknowledge Kim's feelings whether Lisa agreed or not Kim's feelings were hurt and Lisa should acknowledge that. But I don't think she can.
  9. Lisa is completely missing everyone's point about her friendships. My take is that she is a good friend on her terms. On many occasions when the friendship wasn't on her terms or she felt she'd been slighted she was insensitive to her friends and their feelings were hurt. When the friend brings up the hurt, Lisa dismisses it for whatever reason further exacerbating the hurt. She's very bad at acknowledging other people's feelings as it relates to her actions especially if she disagrees with the other person's assessment. We saw this with she and Kyle at Kyle's shop when they were discussing the cheating rumors and Lisa dismisses Kyle with an "oh, are we discussing this again?" And with Yo and the Lyme's disease thing. And Kim with Lisa being caught in a lie about the charity trip. And Brandi with whatever (although I am less inclined to defend Brandi since I loathe that woman) I can see Lisa being frustrating as a friend.
