  1. Is there some unspoken rule about how long one should wait to date after losing their spouse? 🙄: https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/3345018/the-talks-amanda-kloots-trolls-dating-nick-cordero-death/.
  2. Next week's schedule (Elaine said Jerry will be back Wednesday): Monday - Actress Casey Wilson; television host and author Mariana Atencio and former NBA player and sports analyst Jalen Rose guest co-host. Tuesday - Actor Jake Johnson; Mariana Atencio and Jalen Rose guest co-host. Wednesday - Singer and actress Jill Scott (🥰); Nene Leakes guest co-hosts. Thursday - Actress Sarah Michele Gellar; television personality and entrepreneur Daymond John guest co-hosts. Friday - Actors Matthew Rhys and James Purefoy; actress and singer Dove Cameron; Daymond John guest co-hosts.
  3. Eve's new show on ABC with Brandy is going to air in the fall: https://thatgrapejuice.net/entertainment/2021/07/abc-reveals-debut-date-for-queens-starring-brandy-eve-naturi-naughton/. I don't think I'll be watching, but I hope it does well.
  4. 2020 and 2021 snatched up so many folks who thought they were untouchable and there will be more to come, I'm sure. Barely 5 seconds into the proposal gone wrong video and it already screamed "staged" to me.
  5. That's a good point about Carrie Ann not at least sending a video message congratulating Jerry on getting the job instead of just tweeting about it. I'm still holding on to a shred of hope that she'll say she's coming back in September, but if that ends up not being the case then we'll just have to deal. 😔 If another male host is chosen then either Victor or Hot Jesus would get my vote. 😉 If Sheryl had known things would've gone down the way they did, I don't think she would've asked that question. I hate to rehash it since it seems like The Witch is using her media minions to keep her name and false role as the victim out there, but none of the fallout would've happened had she not flipped out over being asked about the tweet about "standing with" Piers. She could've simply answered Sheryl's question like a rational adult and then moved on to a story about Selena Gomez or whatever latest Hollywood gossip story was going around, but instead she threw a tantrum because they wouldn't simply sweep things under the rug and kiss her ass as usual. I used to dislike Sheryl because of the "ghetto stereotype" schtick she used to play up and the way she shamelessly ogled male guests (she'd be in hot water for sticking her tongue down John Stamos's throat in this post-#Me Too climate), but she's come a long way since the beginning and she seems to have a good heart. I admire her ability not to allow the hardships she's experienced in life to make her bitter.
  6. What makes you think they'll hire Victor as well? Amanda mentions his work on E News (which I thought folded for good a year or so ago) so I don't know if he'd be able to do that as well as this show unless he has a flexible and accommodating schedule like Carrie Ann with DWTS. I could be wrong since the show's made more than a few WTF decisions this whole season, but I don't think they'll hire another permanent male co-host. I will be so glad when we finally get some confirmation on whether or not Carrie Ann's returning. Enough teasing and spit it out already. What a blessed day with the return of "Hot Jesus"/Justin Baldoni and his heavenly man bun. 🤩
  7. I completely forgot about this, but apparently Brandi was on The Talk during the first season talking about her recent DUI and (you guessed it) whining about Eddie and LeeAnn for the millionth time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PANaVGB2jbU. Just a year later the seemingly normal, almost soft-spoken woman sitting on that couch would show her entire ass on RHOBH. SMH.
  8. No. The Sun is a lot like the Daily Mail so I take their stories with more than a pinch of salt. Lol. I remember hearing about Trashbox wanting to join the show and Andy Cohen backing her up: https://heavy.com/entertainment/real-housewives/brandi-glanville-talk-cohost/. The viewer tweets saying nay nay to her slithering on are spot-on. The show would be yanked off the air before the first commercial break due to her nasty mouth.
  9. You're welcome, @Medicine Crow and thanks for all the info, @mtlchick! I hope not. As much I would personally enjoy seeing Victor Cruz's fine self every day, one permanent male co-host is enough. Carnie Wilson's been the go-to guest co-host for a decade and she's game to join full time so why not finally hire her?
  10. Jerry has another project (a game show, I think) so that's why he won't be back until the end of the month.
  11. According to this article the other women are "demanding" a raise now: https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/3288190/the-talk-hosts-denand-raises-jerry-oconnell-salary/. Something tells me the "source" from said article who claimed the Witch is the "missing piece from the puzzle" probably has an English accent. And red hair. Or blue hair....
  12. Glad you caught the episode. I used to watch the reruns on Lifetime back in the day, but had no recollection of this episode so it was pretty much new to me. Thank goodness M.E. had both Johnny and Grandma Otis to love and accept her. I shudder to think how she would've turned out with just her parents (who were loving but deeply flawed and racist) and Teresa. And worst of all, Uncle Jimmy. 😳 Speaking of which, I cannot wait until the episode where he dies come up. Usually I'd find merriment over someone's passing incredibly insensitive, but I'd be kicking my legs up in glee too if I'd been M.E. That man was pure evil and, as M.E. said to Rene after her brief reunion in his house, "marinated in hate." I know he busted hell wide open when he croaked. 😈 I was glad to see M.E.'s dad drop the "no coloreds in the house" BS and invite Rene in to be there for her. I'll never forget the episode when Rene's mother came over to the house to properly thank M.E.'s mom for rushing Rene to the hospital and M.E.'s mother wouldn't even shake her hand or treat her like a fellow human being. Shameful.
  13. I don't watch Daily Pop so I missed what Carnie said. Thanks for the info. I'm really hoping I'm wrong about Carrie Ann leaving, because that'll be yet another hit to the show. TPTB may as well hire Carnie if Carrie Ann's seat is vacated. She's like the Marlo Hampton of The Talk at this point. Minus the multiple arrests and violent tendencies... Girl, I'll take a dish rag on a stick over the likes of the Witch any day! Lol.
  14. I'm trying to be optimistic, but it sounds like Carrie Ann will announce her departure soon: https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/is-carrie-ann-inaba-returning-to-the-talk/. She was quick to confirm that she'll be returning to DWTS, but the "I should have some news soon" in regards to The Talk doesn't sound good. :(
  15. Seems like none of those ladies were interested in taking the gig, unfortunately. The low ratings and March debacle weren't exactly a ringing endorsement. :( I'm not entirely thrilled about Jerry joining the show either, but I'll try to give it a chance. He's the least of their troubles at the moment. Schedule for next week (BTW, Jerry's off until the end of the month): Monday - Actor Wayne Brady; Victor Cruz and Mark McGrath guest co-host. Tuesday - Actress Constance Zimmer; Victor Cruz and Mark McGrath guest co-host. Wednesday - Comedian and actor Billy Bellamy and Justin Baldoni (aka Hot Jesus 🥰) guest co-host. Thursday - Justin Baldoni and Mark McGrath guest co-host. Friday - Filmmaker, actor and producer Kevin Smith; actress Sarah Levy; Justin Baldoni and Mark McGrath guest co-host.
  16. Just a heads up to anyone who hasn't seen it, the episode "Children Are the Most Important Thing" when the O'Brien's are informed of Johnny's death will air tomorrow. I've been binge watching the series on YouTube, but couldn't find that particular episode. ETA: Damn that incorrect episode guide! The episode "What If?" aired instead. Hopefully "Children Are the Most Important Thing" airs tomorrow (Sunday).

  18. A retread of yesterday's article. Are She Devil and Piers going to come back with a third installment of the same story tomorrow too? 🙄
  19. Oh, I see. I think all of this has taken a toll on Sheryl too. Like all the responsibility has fallen on her shoulders. Hopefully she can take time to recharge during the summer hiatus. Lord knows they all need a break with the tornado of drama this season has been. I say "hot Jesus" should be the permanent "guest bro-host". 🥰
  20. Lack of an audience has been another big hit against the show. If they're able to have a live audience come September they need to get them ASAP. It was a skit in response to a viral video involving public grooming. It took me back to season 1 when the Witch would pull her bare feet up on the couch during interviews. And they weren't skits. 🤢
  21. That's hilarious. I'll have to check them out on YouTube.
  22. @Jaded, I forgot to ask that when you referred to the connection between the BTS drama in the Daily Mail article and Sheryl's current behavior in the post before last were you referring to the article that claimed Sheryl was forced to go to anger management after allegedly verbally attacking a staff member? I found it suspish (as YouTuber Bailey Sarian would say) that came up after all the accusations against Sharon. Obviously I wasn't there so I can't say for a fact whether it happened or not, but during the weeks of allegations made against Sharon none of the other co-hosts, past or present, were accused of that kind of behavior. Also a lot of people praised Sheryl for keeping her composure during Sharon's meltdown and I'm sure that pissed Witchy Poo off too. We've been free of her from the show for 3 months now and she still finds a way to bring the focus back to her, bubbling cauldron and all. One thing's for sure. If the next season proves to be their last I'll be like Josephine Baker when she was evicted from her Chateau: sitting on the front steps in a bonnet, wrapped up in a blanket thinking "It didn't have to end this way, dammit! Why did you fuck it up?! Well, I've still got 'The Real'. I think..." Lol.
  23. I don't feel bad for CBS because they allowed her to be hell on wheels when it was to their benefit, but I don't think they would've fired Sharon for her on-air tantrum alone. What sealed her fate were the allegations made against her by Holly, Leah and a few other people for making racist and homophobic remarks in the past. There was no way they could keep her without public outcry so out the door she went. If they'd really set her up then I think they would've fired her sooner than they did after the temper tantrum show. Instead they had Amanda say something about how families can disagree but still love each other and swept it under the rug. Carrie Ann responded to the Jerry news: https://outsider.com/news/entertainment/the-talk-co-host-carrie-ann-inaba-responds-news-new-host/.
  24. Great points, @Jaded. Especially Sheryl not being comfortable being the main mod. If Carrie Ann doesn't come back then they definitely need someone like her to take the lead. Who wants to take a bet on whether they'll talk about this tomorrow or anytime soon? It's disappointing hearing Elaine throw the showrunners (and Sheryl to a certain degree) under the bus to pacify the Witch. Even more nauseating was listening to said Witch cry like the spoiled, entitled wench she is and trot out that ridiculous "I'm Jewish so I couldn't possibly be racist" bullshit. 🙄
  25. And now it's official: https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/jerry-o-e2-80-99connell-joins-e2-80-98the-talk-e2-80-99-aspermanent-cohost/ar-AAM9MA3. The next order if business should be confirming whether or not Carrie Ann's coming back (fingers crossed she does) and only time will tell if the show makes it or not.
