  1. Natasha is an utter failure at managing. She won’t talk to her angry staff to even try to understand her frustrations, she instead gossips about her with another staff member and treats him like he’s her pet. Natalya is a know-it-all and I wish she’d approach the situation with less complaints and with a more mature attitude but of course she’s sick of doing all the work while the other two frolic. Kyle even seemed to realize it was shifty that they hadn’t done the main cabin, he said it sheepishly.  They have no idea how bad they come off but Kyle clearly thinks he’s going to be a big reality tv star so he doesn’t care.

Natasha is unsurprisingly pathetic when it comes to her verbally abusive boyfriend. And Dave still following her around like a puppy dog is pathetic but he seems as much a glutton for punishment as she is. I liked Natalya telling Storm directly things are getting to be too much. She didn’t do it hoping he’d try to convince her otherwise, she just meant it.  New deckhand seems decent, and what he says next week doesn’t actually seem bad I think Courtney just didn’t take it as a joke.

The wallpaper in Carlys  room looks like

Blanche's wallpaper in the Golden Girls.  Why did they bring back Drew if he's only going to spend time with carly?

Remember hot bearded Drew from this first week on the show? Too bad they wasted all that potential.

I kind of love the idea of Spencer having a dueling angel/devil on his shoulder in the form of creepy great-uncles. I think he was right that Cyrus set up that scene with Book (who was a surprisingly good actor) but I would much rather see this reluctant bonding than Spencer being beaten in prison.

I swear, everytime I come back randomly to watch, there's an MB fanfiction scene desperately trying to make him out to be a hardass that all the wimmen want.  This show, man.

This is sadly what a lot of people want. It’s depressing to read Insta comments because they’re all berating Sonny for not murdering people who get in his (or Carly’s way) and moaning about how the old Sonny would have already killed Nina. Romance, truly.

Trina being a brat to Curtis doesn’t bother me because I can’t stand him now, but I don’t like that they’re making her unlikable while acting like she’s right. It’s very Joss-lite. And I’m a little surprised she hasn’t visited Spencer. I know she told him she was done with him but last we saw her was running to the police station to try to say goodbye to him when she found out he believed her all along. I shouldn’t expect any emotional consistency on this show though.

Nicholas Chavez is featured in People magazine. He talks about winning the Daytime a Emmy and how he overcame the negative comments about him when he started on the show.

Aw good for him getting some more mainstream recognition. I do remember people being pissed on the former Spencers behalf and him even egging that on a bit. I missed his years but I’ve seen some clips and I don’t see the appeal. GH has had some amazing child actors - Robin, Emily, Lucky to name a few - and wouldn’t include young Spencer on that list at all.

They don't & Bravo have said that they don't get charged for the actual charter once they've agreed to be on the show.

Have they said that? I listen to a podcast (Juicy Scoop) and the host was invited to do Below Deck and she said there was a hefty fee - albeit discounted - plus the tip is fully on the guest. Maybe it varies?

Pretty boring episode. Natalya is a know-it-all but I still think she’s mostly right. Storm was dumb to announce Courtney at the dinner.

And she's in cahoots with AJ Quartermaine, or some equally long dead character where there was a body.

Maybe it’s Franco, back from the dead with a fresh brain tumor. Or hell maybe it’s Luke, who will now be played by Roger Haworth.

I know Esme makes some modicum of sense but why wouldn’t she have immediately gone after Trina?

  7. They went and made me feel bad for Jason. He really just wants to be accepted but doesn’t know how to find an in with the deck crew. He can be an insubordinate dick at times but I still felt bad for him.

Kyle was so gross yelling at Natalya because she isn’t grateful enough that Storm wants her. Just because his entire self worth hinges on a man wanting him doesn’t mean he should berate others for not being that way.

When the Tash/Dave fight happened I was on her side, and I still am in the sense that he was scary and threatening and should never speak to anyone that way. But man I’m seeing her manipulative side. She wants to keep him on a string.

I’m not getting that either.  It’s so manufactured.  Like everyone knows Aunt Stella went a little cray there for a second but she actually was going to mail the papers and then she had a flipping stroke so I don’t think anyone is going to blame her too much.  Plus like others have said….there’s no expiration date on getting a divorce!

Maybe they’ll blame Cam, since he accidentally threw them away. Then Joss can have her excuse to dump him.

It's not like divorce is a one time deal with an expiry date on him. He and Portia just got engaged and they caught this thing on time. So there's literally no damage done.

It’s basically an administrative oversight. It’s literally paperwork. I cannot believe this is a dramatic plot point on a soap opera!

Her new show's season is now over and Monique is blaming the new show for her poor edit on it.  She played the same game on the new show that she played on RHOP, throwing a friend under the bus to get up under the popular crew.  Charrisse warned us.

I loved Monique on Potomac but had zero interest in watching her new show. I was irrationally disappointed she even felt the need to go on another reality show.

Not really no, not if that wasn't his original intent and who knows what his reasons were? To me it looked like he wanted to but stopped himself and was annoyed that he had to do so in the moment. Perhaps he didn't expect it to go that far, perhaps he felt guilty about deflowering her in such a public place - who knows. You know what they say about assuming... 😉

Abandoning her was an asshole move though, but nobody ever said Daemon isn't an asshole, heh.

An asshole who is also at least a little evil! But I’m ready for the show to have us rooting for him and Rhaenyara to get together later. Knowing how things go in the book, it won’t be hard for me to get there if only because I will root for whoever is on her side. But it’s surprising (at least surprising to me) how many Criston fans there are in the non book thread, who think she basically raped him and that justifies his violent rampage last night. I personally don’t see it, even though they did a good job showing him grappling with breaking his vows. They do make you take so many vows…

  12. One thing I wonder about is why Daemon didn’t kill his wife sooner, before he tried to get Viserys to let him marry Rhaenyra. If he was going to do it anyway, seems like an easier sell when he’s single than letting him take her as a second wife.

Unless the show has a really good explanation next week, the change to the Cole/Lonmouth fight is the dumbest thing I've seen on the show by a wide margin. There is no way that that wouldn't lead to Cole being immediately executed.

It was much more intense/shocking than a melee, but it is hard to imagine how Alicent manages to wash it all away. I suppose he’ll have to claim Joffrey was threatening the princess?

I’m enjoying the show but I do miss the unreliable narrator/dueling viewpoints of the book.

No, I think there is more to it.  I think maybe deep down Alicent was in love with Rhaenyra and that is why she feels so betrayed that Rhaenyra lied to her about everything.

I don’t think this is the case, but I would certainly enjoy it if it were. Just one more layer here.

Mixed feelings of pity and annoyance with Ser Criston. He’s no Jaime Lannister, he joined the Kingsguard with genuine intentions. But you kind of need to be a Jaime Lannister to survive, especially if you’re going to break your vows so easily. I don’t blame Rhaenyra for turning down his absurd offer.

Really going to miss the two younger actors, they’ve been wonderful. Do love Olivia Cooke though.

that was basically what i wanted to say but you said it so much succinctly. LOL. and truthfully. as psycho as Esme is. i am sorry.  I am more surprised people were #TeamTrina vs. you know questioning it. and that's what hurt the story ultimately. EVERYONE knew it was Esme. NO one doubted Trina, and Trina is pouty that Spencer did't either A: insta-bend over for her, and now B: tell her that he actually did

this just feels sort of retreatedy with Joss/Cam before she stuck her tongue down his throat. "you hate Jason," "fine we disagreee "not good enough we can't be friends "but i really do like you" (and now Cam is trapped with Joss)

I actually fully understand why Trina was upset. Sure, if Spencer had believed Esme over Trina that’s his right - but it’s Trina’s right to not want to be friends with someone who would think that of her.  Trina spent months thinking he left her when she was upset at the cabin, tried to see her and almost kissed her the night before he left for Baby Jail, and then immediately decided she was guilty of a truly awful thing to be accused of. Spencer’s reasoning for not telling Trina never made sense - he once said it was because Trina would tell Scotty (her then attorney) and he’d use it for leverage in another case.   His best justification would have been that she’d tell blabbermouth Joss who would surely decide she can fulfill the plan better and ruin it, but people aren’t allowed to say things like that about Joss. I am sick of hearing Trina go to Rory to complain about Spencer though. Not a worthy triangle at all.

It would be hilarious and bizarre if Rory is the hook killer. What a weird character arc, but I find him incredibly boring so I don’t mind if he leaves soon.

i know! like GO AFTER HER.
so we know now know it's not Nik or Liz who s the killer hooker

We can also rule out Spencer. Isn’t that all the suspects from that night? Or at least all the people whose whereabouts were unaccounted for. What a lame lack of suspense.

I hope it’s not Esme. The character could grate but the actress is very capable and I want her brought back as an Ava type character. Let Cam have someone to seek inappropriate comfort with when Joss cheats on him (which will be his fault).

  17. Kyle telling Tash she’s a “great leader” because she lets him slack off work and focus on daydreaming about Frank really exemplified why those two get along so well. She does the same thing with her own relationships! Just zero work ethic with the pair of them. Don’t blame Natalya a bit and Kyle acting shocked, shocked! That anyone would accuse him of being lazy was ridiculous.

Nice to see drama free Dave.  I don’t see why Storm has to name a second lead - just ask both Mtzi and Courtney for extra help until he can offload Jason.

Sonny wishing his son and one of his baby-mamas 'all the happiness' isn't creepy at all, no sirree.

They do seem to be laying the groundwork for Emma Drake to be coming to PC--perhaps a new love interest for Cam once he's freed from the screeching asshole that is Joss.

Is Emma the one all the boys had a crush on when they were kids? I skipped the years of that Spencer.

If so, I wouldn’t mind someone who gives Joss a run for her money (without being psycho like Esme).

I was wondering the same thing. Does he live in the house but on another floor? (I vaguely remember Patty saying something to him once about "we'll be downstairs".) Is he in the attic? Basement? But I noticed in this episode when he left (after skulking around Patty's...uh, living quarters at 4am), he left by the front door. It's confusing.

He called it a duplex, which I took to mean what we call a 2 family house/mother daughter house in New York. But the lighting is always so dark in the Patty scenes I can’t tell where they are.

Something interesting I've noticed this season (it was very apparent because I just rewatched season one): The sitcom scenes are becoming less vibrant, more washed-out.

Allison is more comfortable being mean to Kevin, too. In this episode alone, she said, "Only took 10 years of marriage, but you're finally useful to me" (Kevin: "Excuse me!?") and told him to shut up.

Additionally, the house is looking messier even in the sitcom version, and they still haven't fixed the closet door Neil broke in the season one finale.

Seems like the real world is starting to bleed over into the sitcom world.

In other news, someone on Reddit pointed out that Diane has a bloody eye later in the episode, from after she went home to her husband. Yikes.

Such an interesting observation. I hope that means we get to see more of “real” Kevin too. I read another poster’s recap of all the horrible things he’s done, and they are horrible. He’s not someone anyone would want to be around. But still not seeing what’s keeping Allison from leaving him. She keeps saying it would take years to divorce him but that’s just for things to be finalized. She’d be away from him long before then. Anyway I still hope the show can make this feel…justified.

    #KeepTrinaTaggert's. that is all.

I have watched Taggert for three decades. I love that he has a daughter that is front and center, and soon to be in one of the few romantic relationships on this show that has potential. I despise the idea that they’re going to take that away from him for Curtis who idgaf about.

I’m sure Cam will tell Trina what was in the letter eventually, when it’s most dramatic.

I think so, given the previews.

Best scenes of the day were between Spencer and Cam.  Good soapy ending with Trina grabbing the letter.

Really love the friendship that’s developed between the cousins. Feels genuine and organic.

I hope we don’t get another three months of people visiting Spencer in prison. It’s just boring. And I don’t need to see him being beaten in prison either.
