  1. The red paint room looks sooo bad, and always has. But the rest of the house is nicer than I remembered it. Maybe they decluttered for those photos. Can't believe they never finished the master bath! And the situation with the rent-controlled tenant is a little weird.

Their lives pre-RHONY seemed much better than where they are now, but they also really wanted the fame so maybe it was inevitable? Shame because they really belong in the world they were in, if only they'd been content to stay there.

  2. But Jim is not an attorney "in training." He graduated law school. I don't understand his story at all.  If he did pass the written portion of the Bar exam, then he failed C&F. He's not admitted, but he's trying to act like he just hasn't gotten around to getting admitted. I am licensed in NY, not NJ, but I don't think the process is that different. You pass the written portion you become a "Bar candidate" and all that's left is paying and going for your C&F interview, which for most people is a technicality.

  3. It's amazing that he thinks threatening random people on twitter with lawsuits will actually scare anyone. As though he's really going to take the time to subpoena IP addresses to even find out who these people are and go through the litigation with twitter to get those? He's a terrible non-lawyer, he's such a joke

  4. As much as I dislike Caroline Manzo, I sure do wish she was on this season. Would love to see her filming with Jim. She never suffered fools at all, and her reactions would be priceless.

This morning or last night, someone tweeted that they were a fan of his - and he tweeted back that the "tide is turning".  I guess that means he has 10 fans instead of 6.

I grew to dislike Caroline too but I also wish she was here to shut Jim down. Jim is exactly the kind of person to fear her.

I am sometimes gobsmacked by the fact that any low life can have fans. What has anyone seen of Jim to make them a fan of his? Even if you don't hate him, what is there to be a fan of? So bizarre.

  5. I'm glad Aviva won't be coming back. She was 100% inauthentic onscreen, and it was obviously plotted and planned from her end. The sad thing is, I think the real Aviva is more interesting than what she put on for the show.

I don't hate her, because she's not interesting enough to hate. But I agree that she was used as a shield by the other women. It always makes me laugh how bitter they get when someone doesn't want to go on the producer-planned trips.

  6. For example, Caroline's virtually non-existent marriage to Al, Dina's "open marriage" to Tommy (and her violating its terms, leading to a divorce), the conflicts between Caroline, Jacqueline, and Dina, and Teresa and Jacqueline's gargantuan legal problems have all stayed (relatively) swept under the rug. I think the Manzo/Laurita dirty laundry, in particular, has remained unaired both because a.)

Caroline and Al being distant was something I suspected, but didn't know was confirmed. What's this about Dina's open marriage? How did she violate the terms? She is so boring this season, who knew she was hiding anything interesting?

  7. just an fyi:

lots and lots of people take the bar and don't go further to get admitted. It happens. Not all the time--once you've passed the bar, the rest of the stuff is pretty easy to do--but people have been taking the bar for years without any intent to be licensed or to practice as an attorney.

I haven't seen anything to state that Jim failed the bar exam, which I'm sure would've come up by now. And which would make more sense than taking it, passing it and not getting licensed. But even so, people do pass the bar exam and don't take that final step. They're usually people with nothing to prove (i.e. not TinyJim) or people with something to hide (possibly TinyJim)

Jim may NOT state that he is a lawyer or attorney or version of the above. Going to law school and passing the bar exam does NOT make you either. It's like saying "I completed med school so now you have to call me a doctor." As nominal, or cursory, as it may be, you need that license to call yourself a lawyer or an attorney.

I would still like to know how he "manages" litigation--beyond an office manager or coordinator role, which requires little more than a college degree.

I'd disagree with you on the "lots and lots"  of people take the bar and never try to get admitted, but I only have anecdotal evidence from my own experience so I'll just agree to disagree about that.

In any case, there have been people on twitter who looked up the successful bar candidates (meaning people who passed the written portion of the Bar exam) for NJ for the year he claims he took the exam, and he wasn't on the list. I don't know if he specified that he took the exam in NJ, but he's also not on the NY list for that year.  So it seems he's lying about something. There is no "failed" list for the Bar in NY or NJ, you're either on the successful candidate list or you're not.  It's strange how he won't just answer straightforward questions about all this though.

  8. I believe a little about what Jim is saying.  I think Bobby is a huge famewhore.  He was all over twitter all last winter in the twins photos.  That guy looks right into the camera like he is god's gift to women.  His family owns a few auto dealerships.

I think Jim had no job prospects at all and never bothered to get admitted.  Maybe he had a prior arrest and thought it would prevent him from being admitted.  Maybe he had a job offer and thought he wouldn't need it.  Who knows.  But he loves saying he is a lawyer - which he can legally say I think.  It is different than saying he is an attorney.  He is a sad, little man.

I'm sure everyone who goes on these types of shows are huge famewhores, and Bobby is no exception. But it's so hard to criticize anyone on this show when comparing them to Jim. Wow he's that unlikable, it's amazing.

I'm not sure about NJ, but in NY lawyer and attorney are synonymous and it's illegal to identify yourself as a lawyer if you are not licensed. There's no way Jim took the Bar and passed it but didn't attempt the last step of getting licensed. It just doesn't happen, unless you're taking the Bar for Barbri or other courses (and when you take the Bar, they make you sign a statement that you are only taking the Bar with the specific intent of becoming a licensed attorney).

  9. Yep diorella, I agree. His twitter behavior shows his true self. He makes the other castmembers seem so likable. Who knew that was possible?

When he went over to Joe Gorga at the party, he whispered to Joe Gorga why he could not associate with Guidice.  Joe Gorga began to call him names - all of that was edited out.  Jim was so mad at the editing that he called production and yelled at them.

Didn't we see this? It's when he called Joe Gorga a name I can't remember, but little Jim was all fired up.

  10. Jim must have failed the C&F portion of the Bar. There's a legal website I read where one of the writers had a similar situation. Passed the written test, so he could technically say he "passed the bar exam" but failed the C&F.  I'm licensed in NY not NJ so I don't know how extensive the NJ C&F portion is but most states require you to admit to any prior crimes. Maybe that's where he ran into his problems? I know many lawyers who are no longer practicing, because they moved on to finance or other fields and haven't bothered to keep paying their registration dues or keep up with CLE requirements, but that's very different from having never practiced. Only one reason to never practice--failing the Bar exam. And if we believe Jim passed the written portion of the test, that only leaves C&F.

He's such a douchebag though. It's not like being a lawyer is even particularly respected anymore. He doesn't use it to garner respect, he uses it to intimidate people with the fear of litigation. He may be the worst castmember on any RH franchise. Amber isn't even that bad, but boy does he bring her down.
