Great!!! Should we each nominate five episodes that we want to rewatch, after which I can put them in chronological order and try to put together a schedule?! (And if anyone else wants to do the schedule, please don't be shy---suffice it to say that kind of thing is NOT my forte!) Agreed. I get wanting to believe the actors we love watching and who play characters we adore are likable and admirable in real life, but I personally can't begin to defend TG here. And this isn't the first incident we know of where TG's judgment and self-control has been seriously called into question. I can only imagine that, as with nearly all workplaces, there's a lot we DON'T know about how he conducts himself. As much as I once enjoyed Hotch, I'll also venture the unpopular opinion that he's been kind of a joyless zombie since around the middle of S5 for me. What I used to see as a 'still waters run deep' thing became just a really dull, flat character. There's a whole lot wrong with the show, but I don't think losing TG/Hotch will necessarily make it any worse for me. Obviously all just my opinion!

Awww, I loved it too! It's much more awww-worthy to me than many of the moments that remain, and this is coming even from someone who often finds Sookie annoying :)

---I came here to post about how much more I'm loving and appreciating Piper, or at least the Piper of the first five or so seasons, and realized I'd just be pointlessly echoing much of what I wrote above :) I see her (rightly or wrongly!) as having some degree of anxiety, which accounts for her reluctance to embrace change, the fact that she worries and frets and sees the potential downsides of various situations, and even her irritability, which is sometimes the way anxiety manifests. She has a calm/self-contained vibe about her a lot, as many introverts do, but that doesn't mean anxiety doesn't lurk beneath the placid surface, and a lot of the situations the Charmed ones are in bring it out. Maybe theorizing that she has anxiety is just my own bizarre way of explaining some aspects of her character and relating to/loving her more, but I'm okay with that type of fanwank :) I've definitely dealt with my own fair share of anxiety and depression, so maybe I'm just projecting here, but I can't help seeing some of that in Piper. (I've found that watching this show helps keep some of my own anxiety/depression at bay for whatever strange combination of reasons!) I also think Piper sometimes feels a little insecure in contrast to her more vibrant, extroverted sisters. Prue is a strong, fearless and confident leader and high achiever who excels at nearly everything and has been since they were kids. Phoebe is an exuberant, funloving, energetic charmer (super lame pun intended!) who kind of 'lights up the room' and eventually becomes a local celebrity. Paige has creative talents---drawing, singing, etc.---is kind of a unique individual and, as a half-whitelighter, has powers beyond what Piper and her other sisters do. Piper is clearly an amazing chef and witty and generous, but I could see how from her perspective she would feel 'ordinary' compared to her sisters and feel unsuited to fulfill the oldest sister/de facto leader role that was once occupied by Prue. I feel like she sort of suppresses the softer sides of her personality because she's endured so much loss and pain, comes to see them as weak and thinks she needs to be a bolder, tougher and more assertive leader now, but that doesn't mean that softer, gooey core of hers that feels so much (too much?!) isn't sill there. I'll vote against 22, 23 and 24...and confess that I actually really enjoy Bride and Gloom despite TOTALLY getting why many wouldn't :)

I'm sappy enough to "awww" at all the sisterly bonding moments, but I totally get that no one would want to play if the entire list amounts to "and then the sisters hug in that episode...and in this episode...and in the episode after that..." ;) What should we play instead?!

So since I'm constantly rewatching parts of this show anyway (no, I don't have a life outside of TV!), I thought I'd see again if anyone is interested in a casual rewatch where we pick, say, 2-3 episodes to watch in a given week and then just chime in with observations, opinions, praise, snark, etc. I know it's too overwhelming to watch the entire series on chronological order, so maybe each person participating could nominate a few favorites and/or episodes that you think would make for an interesting group discussion even if they're not favorites :)

I really like Hotch and want to love Thomas Gibson, but suffice it to say that TG has often not exactly shown the best judgment. This definitely isn't the first example of it. I can't imagine most of our workplaces tolerating something like this on any level, but then most of us probably aren't the stars of long-running TV shows :) But you guys have totally identified the potential silver lining here: What if this somehow spurs the powers to realize that for various reasons the show is on its last legs and that they should set a definite end date? That might---MIGHT---make for more focused, thoughtful episodes and less of the repetitive, pointless meandering that's marred much of the past few seasons.

My votes: 9, (he's annoyed, she's confused, they're not communicating or connecting well...not only is the 'irritated and bickering right before they finally kiss!' thing a painfully played out rom com cliche instead of being a little creative like most of the best GG scenes are to me, but in retrospect this scene was a sneak preview of why I would end up disliking their romantic relationship), 11 (I usually try to vote based on how effective and GG-ish I think the scene is regardless of how much I happen to like the specific characters in it, but I just can't EVER awwww over someone I dislike as much as I do Liz...I won't even pretend that my feelings for her are rational :)), 25 (I'm usually a fan of LG's acting, but she just doesn't sell me on being genuinely upset in this scene, and I didn't feel remotely invested in her relationship with Trix)
