  1. Hero of the day Jason Amash. I saw some clips of Justin Amash's town hall on CNN last night. I didn't know that their were democrats in the audience and not surprised that some people admitted they had no clue what was in the Mueller report. Yes, he got a standing ovation but were those the democrats that came out to support him? There were two women, one was fairly young, who were angry and admonished him for attacking their president and had the typical democrats are trying to make up facts. Allan Lichtmann and Steve Ratner are on the same page no matter how it looked this morning. I read an article this week where they both said the same thing. This guy will be reelected. Claire was good this morning. Her snarky remarks about McConnel were well said. And his supreme court comments weren't the only things he said this past week that she could have called him out on.
  2. I swear to God if she ever got a veteran female journalist to sing her praises, I would plotz!
  3. MSNBC is so focused on politics that I don't even tune into my favorite shows anymore. I will continue to watch MJ for the zany antics. Joe, Mika and their guests cannot take this seriously. The hosts aren't on the set. They bounce from serious topics to the Red Sox and soccer to more delusional criticizing of Joe's "former party". It's a never ending train wreck.
  4. I agree with you Kemper. Posting reply in Small Talk
  5. Journalists and political pundits like Brett Stephens make me want to cry. And stop showing those God damn tweets. Beto, are you listening? Joe has major tips on how to run a campaign and win.
  6. Well I don't know. Howard claims to be a changed man due to psychotherapy. Maybe he and Mika would have all kinds of personal issues that would cause the whole thing to be a kind of bonding between them?
  7. The interview came about because he has a new book. He should be on MJ. Authors are always welcome. Especially if they don't work for MSNBC.
  8. Some good points on the mistake of trump calling Nancy crazy. Commenting on her hand gestures and saying she's lost it. That plays with his base but like Joe said, the Democrats win in 2018 was historic while the Republicans tried to tie everything to Nancy. I like Rep Tim Ryan and it seems like he should be able to speak to the Youngstown type of voter. I saw NBC's Cal Party interview some of these voters leading up to Chris Matthews' town hall. It was all about the wall, the great (?) tax break they got and the green deal is crazy.
  9. Anderson Cooper has an interview with Howard Stern at 10 ET tonight. I saw some clips last night. Very interesting especially given the discussion this morning about the real Donald trump. The panel all agreed this is a reality show.
  10. Honestly, I think you should have a stand-up act. We need humor and brains!
  11. Rachel confirmed my beliefs. Richard Nixon, overall, wasn't a bad president. She's gone over all the things including Watergate in the past, but yet months before he resigned, he was still doing the job of being president.
  12. Yeah how about she takes her passion elsewhere?
  13. When I heard Joe say that this morning, two things came to me. #1 stop trying to find clever analogies to make light of the indefensible. #2 this is the same short fat little man you were yucking it up with a few years ago and loving every minute of it. And while you're at it, stop calling yourself a former Republican. You are still going to back the first Republican that comes after this circus.
  14. Can we get a GoFundMe started to send Mika to Mt Kilimanjaro?
  15. What I found interesting was that there were about 100 people that attended and probably five that were still willing to back trump. They booed anyone that had anything pro-trump to say and one guy called trump a con man that had sold them a pack of lies. Tom Perez was there and Chris asked him a question. My anti Tom Perez feelings were reinforced. Oh how I wish Howard Dean was still in charge of the DNC. 🙄
  16. I don't know why Eddie's on any show talking about politics. He's on auto mute with me for saying "if you're a democratic living in a blue state, don't vote" in 2016 on MJ.
  17. God, I'm sick of Willie's personal interest stories. Last week it was an interview with his dad coinciding with the release of Giest senior's new book. Today it was David Letterman at a stream. There are a lot of qualified news people employed by MSNBC. If M&J need a side kick, at least get someone with some news cred.
  18. No. LOL He came in after the show had started then went around the table shaking hands and introducing himself. I compared him to a talk show host only because I couldn't think of any other show where it's acceptable for the host to come onto the set after their show has started.
  19. Joe's entrance this morning was so late night talk show host. Even Mika told him to sit down.
  20. Excellent job on The Deciders Chris's town hall in PA
  21. Last night Chris had a brief discussion with NBC's Cal Perry. He's been in PA talking to the Obama turned trump voters leading up to Chris's town hall. Seems everyone he talked to doesn't care about anything trump says or does because all they care about is their 401K's. Which is interesting because if you're a minimum wage earner (in PA $7.75) how many of those workers have those benefits? Also, seems there were Union workers. How many Republicans support Unions? At the end of their discussion, Chris basically said that everyone in PA in the know (particularly Ed Rendell) kept warning the Democrats and no one would listen.
  22. Yes. That's what prompted me to comment on Barnnicle's reading something from Trump's speech in Milwaukee
