The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
auntieminem replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
It does seem like a good place for him to socialize. They have many different activities and is casual with lots of shorts in the summer. I am glad he is doing things on his own and meeting people outside of the IBLP. I wonder if he wore a tight tee shirt to show off his muscles. -
It is funny how many finger waging responses there are about celebrating the devil's holiday. I was noting that on Jinger's thread as well. But they had both had more supporters. Wonder if they are the only two families that do any kind of Halloween fun. I posted about Jason's Halloween in the Lonely Js.

They posted a short video of going out trick or treating with the girls. They were all in costume. Jeremy was a baker and she was "jingerbread". There are a lot of crazy comments chastising them for celebrating evil. The same with the Dillards as they all dressed up too. I am sure JB and M would not approve of the costumes and trick or treating. I wonder if any of the other kids/grandkids did anything fun for halloween.

Jason posted a story from The Social NWA where for Halloween they were having worship, costumes, and line dancing. He just showed a picture of the stage for I assume the worship part. He has had other stories from there. The Social is part of the Cross Church for single young adults. Wonder if he is going to the JB approved church or to Cross for Sunday services. Meanwhile James posted a story/ad about his work boots and the rest of the Lonely Js are quiet. -
This was posted a couple of pages back. Someone who looks like Abbie weighing the baby.
-
Brought this over from Jill/Derick thread since it is about Abbie working as a nurse. It was discussed in this thread or Joy's and I think Joy had said that her SIL worked at the hospital where she was delivering.

Moving my response to the JD/Abbie thread.

Jill and Derick did an interview where they talk about mending the relationship with JB. Jill quotes advice from Jeremy. I have to agree with him. I imagine JB will not be happy being compared to a playground bully.

Are you thinking about the woman who does Fundie Fridays? Different person. Kate Casey does podcasts about reality tv and I am pretty sure she was not on SHP.

I really liked the podcasts. He added a fifth one after he did the first 4. It is "I pray you put this journal away". Here it is on youtube https://www.youtube.com/@IPrayYouPutThisJournalAway/videos -

Jason posted story with couple of pictures at the race. Another shirtless pic of Elijah and Jason. Guess this is going to become a regular thing. JB better have a chat with him. The guy who knew the Duggars and was friends with Josh and JD when they were younger did a few podcast and on one he talked about Michelle scolding him and his brother for taking off their shirts when they were running around outside with JD. -

Jason posted a story of him and Elijah driving to Dallas to run a Spartan race (whatever that is). Curious, he had been quiet for a long time then came back with lots of bible study talk, now fitness. Wonder why his usual sidekick James is not with them. -

James posted a story called moving day but it seems to be him hauling some heavy equipment. Not sure if that is the move or if he is really moving to a new place. Jason also posted a story, he is a Cross Church (isn't that where the Dillards went) at some service 3C, Cross Church College. It appears to be some ministry to college students, which as far as I know Jason is not a student. I know he has attended Cross services before. -
I just started to post about meeting up with Frank. Probably would have been an interesting conversation.

She was talking to Jill on the phone. I think Jill was talking about the publicity and was telling her she told them (I assume her publishers team) they would be interested in going to LA (for interviews). But, yes, it was mostly about Vs in NYC. I wonder who does their vlogs as they are pretty well done with visuals and music.

Or maybe she is trying to live her life on her own terms. Have you actually read the book? I have. I am a retired social worker and a "bleeding heart liberal" from way back while also having a spiritual journey which I still am on and off. I won't discount her journey even if it is different than mine. It puts her in a better place and hopefully continues to do so.

The book is clearly written from Jill's POV and in her voice. It is her story about her trauma and struggles to become her own person. It really is not Derick's book though he is a big part of her story in his support of her. I can see his involvement more so in the sections when they are dealing with money and contract issues. She is a self proclaimed people pleaser and her childhood was about being the best and most faithful child aka Sweet Jilly Muffin. Her story centers around her becoming aware and breaking away from IBLP and her father's control. Kudos to her ghost writer, he did a very good job.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
auntieminem replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Joy posted another video. This one is a busy long weekend. They are camping with some of Austin's sister's family and not sure if there were other friends but several kids. Then when she gets home there is a small get together with some of the sisters and and SILs for Michelle's birthday. Joy goes on about how great her mom is about remembering everyone's birthday and making them special. I am not sure who all was there did see Mrs. Jed, the younger girls, Jessa, maybe Abbey. There may have been others. After that Joy's family was headed to church. Joy started her weekend going to some sort of women's meeting at her church. Usual Joy video. -
The Other Duggars: The Lost Girls and Amy

In Touch is reporting it as well but their source is WOACB. Curious after all these years his grandparents want custody. https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/jim-bob-and-michelle-duggar-give-up-custody-of-nephew-tyler/ -
J&J are going to be on Tamron Hall Show today. The blurb says it is for an update since their last appearance and their feelings on Jill's memoir.

On Reddit someone summarized the People Magazine interview. The best thing I saw in the summary was the boys are still* in public school. Also, Jinger and Jeremy are supportive of them. * ETA the summary used still but the article said (their older boys attend public school). That would mean now so I guess there is a possibility they maybe home schooled after the move for a year.

Jill posted on IG she and Derick have an interview on GMA tomorrow. They were in NYC recently so they probably recorded it then. Curious what other interviews she has or will be doing. She is also promoting the People article.

In Touch did an article a couple of days ago about JB being mad about changing her way of dressing (wearing pants). Jill and Derick started going to a different church where women wore pants. Some of her siblings saw her and Derick out and went home and told JB she was wearing pants. He calls her out about it. Jinger was already wearing pants but JB said she called them and gave her biblical reasons why wearing pants was ok. Huh? I remember they had an episode where Jinger is talking about with her mom and Jinger actually starts crying. Those kids, especially daughter have been so messed up by JB & Michelle. I wonder which of Jill's siblings "tattled" to JB? He thinks he should control how his adult kids dress? It is sad when I first watched the show I just thought that they were a harmless overly fundie family. My sister was telling me I should watch since they reminded her of a family (with 5 kids) I was good friends with who were very conservative. Yikes, it took me a while before I realized they were not harmless. Here is the article. https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/jill-duggar-reveals-how-jim-bob-reacted-to-her-wearing-pants-in-book/
