I was wondering how the service went and if the family took back the planning didn't let Ben speak.

Wonder what David thinks about all the bad publicity his FIL brought to his church. I see on the churches FB page there are some responses on unrelated posts and in the mentions. They are correcting the mis-information and pointing out the bigotry. They are requesting the church admit the sermon was wrong and racist. It is just a few but the story seems to be spreading. Isn't that the church the Spivey's attend? Hilary better rush to David's defense.

According to WOACB, one of Tommy's nephew's left a comment on her channel that Tommy was estranged from much of the family but not his mother (Tommy's sister). He was estranged from JB, Mary (before her death) and Deanna (per Deanna). Apparently the husband asked to police to notify JB. Still do not understand funeral arrangements. This nephew's mother has been talking to the husband. Wonder what JB's cousins think of him.

I still don't understand why JB would make the arraignments as he has a husband. According to WOACB, Deanna told her she did not find out about the death until today online. So JB was notified on Sun. morning and he went ahead and made arrangements and did not tell her. I feel so bad for the husband. Apparently there are other living siblings, I wonder if the whole family was estranged from him. I hope there is someone there for his husband that will support him.

Should be an uncomfortable service with Deanna and Amy being there. I hope so much for his husband that everyone is respectful and kind.

I was just coming to say that. Odd choice and I am surprised Ben would do it. He was a veteran. Oh, I hope Ben can keep from being a pious a-hole.

The only places I have seen it so far are WOACB and Reddit had gotten info with a FOIA so you can check out there if you want details. The did post the redacted report. I wonder why the police would tell him. Was no one else in the family talking to them? According to WOAB Deanna and Amy said they did not know what was going on. Curious that Michelle's sister was not a big secret but never heard about JB's uncle before this.

It is being reported the police visit was to inform him his uncle, Mary's brother, Tom Lester, had died of natural causes that morning. His uncle is survived by his husband. So not sure why they had to go inform JB. I did not know Mary had a gay brother.

Can't believe no one has figured out what this was all about yet. Knowing JB is scrambling is ok with me.

Last night WOACB (I know) posted about this and I see the Sun and a couple other magazines picked up. No one has found out what the follow up was for yet. Curious. Hope someone finds out soon. JB's head must be exploding (again).

It is sad for all the kids. I know there are other cultures where the parents do arranged marriages but I just think about it happening in the US that much. Just thinking of these two families basically making deals and deciding who their kids should marry. If the story is true, at least Claire got the one she wanted. The stupid practice of the men asking fathers if they can marry their daughter. Their kids are like property to be possessed and traded.

WOAB said Hilary and husband wanted Jason for Claire but Claire wanted Justin. Jason was not causing problems and Duggs wanted to get Justin with the Spiveys. She said Justin was a "player" and was involved with more than one girl. Don't know if any of this is true but makes for an interesting story. Hilary really wanted to be connected to the Duggars and her husband and helped "fix" Josh when he went away to "work off the sin camp". So they took Justin.

Claire is so nutty, she could have been supportive of James without all the crazy replies. Maybe the boys do feel like they need to defend their dad, I hope he wasn't asked to by JB or their PR guy. Jill liked his post so I am sure she wished everyone was not jumping on him.

James is getting blasted in the comments also a few defenders. I wonder if he posted that on his own or was prompted to do so by their PR guy. It was kind of dumb thing to do right after SHP came out. Even if he does think JB is a great father he should have just given him a card. 🙃

Jeremy posted on Jill's IG that thanked the Vs saying "Love you guys!!" So I wonder if that is sufficient to stop people from bugging Jinger to support her sister. Jill of course responds with a "Thanks bro!❤️ " I don't think that family members should feel like they have to make public all their well wishes or support. However it would be nice if they would publicly support her book. Maybe they want to read it first.

Either it was changed or better chance is I misread it yesterday. I do see today it is the 12th. So why was she thanking Jinger & Jeremy for making "this possible"? The other two people she thanked appear to be their pastor and his wife.

The book release is now Sept. 1. On Amazon I can save $10.91. Odd Jinger is offering half off at audible today. Jinger's book on Amazon is saving $11.66 again I am assuming that is what her publisher is having her do. As I said in Jinger's thread, people on IG are asking her why she isn't being supportive of Jill since Jill promoted Jinger's book. Jeremy probably hasn't told her to yet.

Jinger Is pushing her book hard now with a code for half off. I imagine Jinger is required to promote her book but the optics don't look so good.

Jill posted a story thanking Jinger for the love in the People interview. So is he now going to show up at births? In the past I remember seeing him at home with all the younger kids on the phone during the births.

That is interesting JB is at the birth (or soon after) of Jed's baby. I don't recall seeing him at the hospital of other grandkids' birth. Maybe he was.

Curious James seems to have removed all the videos from his vlog. The link to it on his IG goes to error but found it via google and it is empty. It happened sometime in the last few days. Wonder if he did it or JB's PR guy had him do it.

Yes, this is the real puzzling piece. Why did she choose to be with her father instead of mother? She seems to have a good relationship with her mom. Yet she chose the fundie life. Though it appears she didn't go full on IBLP with dress, etc.
