My relatively worthless two cents... I think perhaps Jenni was asked to submit a tape for the Cage project and was given some encouragement that she had a decent shot of being given a small role. With the short notice, however, knowing what a PITA Jeff is about scheduling and time off (he gets ticked off when employees come to work and sit down to drink coffee at 8 am instead of drinking it beforehand) she probably chose not to pursue it. She had most likely been building up the opportunity in her head the longer time passed and resented him more and more for it. She never gave him a chance to say yes or no, which isn’t fair to Jeff, but also to Jenni’s point how many times does history have to repeat itself before you finally learn not to put yourself in front of the firing squad? I felt awful for her being trapped in the car and laughed at and demeaned that way - by her boss, no less. I can’t imagine.

This thread hasn’t been touched in a while but out of the blue I got nostalgic for this show. I added it to my DVR and have been coming home from work and been watching about three episodes a night. It’s as fun as I remember. One of my favorite episodes was Carrie’s bun. I always loved Deacon’s response, “It’s ass ugly, girl.” I’ve thought of that line for years, every time someone is looking a little too...garish for my taste. LOL

A wedding being outdoors generally isn’t mentioned on the invite, is it? Can you imagine going to the country club and assuming(because you’re a normal, intelligent human being) that the whole shin-dig would be inside, only to get there and find out that the ceremony is being performed in the great outdoors? The great windy, freezing, rainy outdoors. I bet a lot of guests, women especially, didn’t dress appropriately since they didn’t think they’d be sitting out in the December cold for an hour. Most women’s dressy clothing is sleeveless or lightweight or a lot of women forgo hosiery, etc. Yeah, no way I’d be shivering my buns off outside! My DVR picked up an episode from last year and a lot of the older kids are hanging around one of the kitchens and Tony is there. Apparently Robyn baked him a cheesecake and FT blurts out, “Where’s the cheesecake?” Oh for the love, Tony! Wait five minutes until it’s actually offered to you! My god he is so rude!!!

Lord almighty I don’t remember ever disliking someone on reality TV as much as I dislike Tony. I mean, I like Meri more than I like Tony! Not telling his wife her hair looked perfect and beautiful and ethereal on her wedding day was totally jerky. And though he didn’t smash the cake in Mykelti’s face (wow, that’s a high bar the family has set for him), he was still a total ass. Took over the whole moment and cut the cake HIMSLEF and then cuts a chunk of the Tres Leches? What is wrong with him???? Then he practically dislocates poor Mykelti’s shoulder by flinging her around the dance floor. Yes, Christine that’s a true pleasure to watch. That’s not how a man leads a woman in partner dancing. That’s how an attention hog with no respect for his partner potentially injures someone. Ugh, he’s the worst. I’m giving up snarking for Lent so I have to get this all out of my system while I still can. I’ll still be reading but I won’t be able to post. It’s going to be really hard if there are any more Tony-centric episodes!

I’m watching the repeat showing (I’m on the West coast) before the new episode. I didn’t catch it last time that when Kody was giving his pre-wedding blessing to M&T that he gets genuinely choked up and has tears in his eyes. It’s rather sweet. Mykelti doesn’t seemed moved at all. :( I know I’m looking at this scene as someone who doesn’t have a dad anymore (he passed a couple years ago and it was just the anniversary, so I get extra misty this time of year). But if my dad was on the verge of tears because he loved me and was happy for me? I’d be a puddle on the floor. OK it feels weird thinking a nice thing about Kody. From the previews it looks like he’s back to his classic chaos in tonight’s episode so these feelings should be short-lived.

S06.E06: Thrown For A Loop By Betty Boop
Starsandbucks replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Project Runway All Stars
Oh lord I’ve been dreading this challenge since all the little teases they’ve been showing in the “this season on All Stars” promo. Who on earth cares about Betty Boop in 2018? And then that weird Popeye clip? Oooh how relevant! I too was confused by the Torrid collaboration but then no mention as to whether the designers needed to keep in mind that their designs should flatter a plus-size market (heaven forbid!). But I think the right designer won. Josh’s top was cute and different from anything that had been produced this season. As much as I personally don’t love sheer clothing (particularly on the bottom half) you do see it a lot on Hollywood red carpets, paired with a boyshort underneath. I actually do think a young starlet (maybe a CW TV actress level) would wear it. -
My thoughts on pigs (swine, not human): I’m also convinced that scene with Babs was a recreation. If you look at her bandage, the “blood” looks too bright and watery. Just not realistic. It kind of looks like Hawaiian Punch. I know someone who has two pigs as treasured family pets. They have run of the house, they nap in front of the fireplace, hang out with the family dog...they are true pets in every sense of the word and have been for years. I can’t imagine what would happen if they were taken from that cushy environment and suddenly had to adapt to farm life (which they never will because their family is obsessed with them). But I feel very badly for Allistair the Pig that he’s in for such a shock. My old neighbors also had a pet pig (kind of weird that so many people in my life have pigs!) and they were jerks and ignored the pig and left it outside all day. That animal had a heart of gold and I ended up bonding with it quite a bit. Whenever I’d come and go from my house, the pig would run over to the fence for some snout scratches. Despite the fact that I wasn’t fond of my neighbors, I was sad when they moved away because I miss my little (ok, she was huge!) piggy friend. They are intelligent and sensitive animals.

I’m still watching on the West coast but oh my god this nail salon scene is so tedious! Who argues with who over what. It just keeps going and going.

I haven't watched Seeking Sister Wife but Instagram Discovery knows my terrible taste in TV all too well. Apparently, Aspyn's fiance is the brother to a woman who is on Seeking Sister Wife?

That poor bridal salon. They probably thought they’d get some nice publicity getting to showcase that they carry plus sizes in-store. Instead, they got Whitney complaining that she felt sweaty and itchy, who then takes a seat in the public parlor area in her underwear. What a disaster.

Wow she really knocked herself out with that website. Good to see they have learned nothing about nice design since launching My Sister Wife’s Closet. I really like the section with the light gray background and white text. Anyone with visual impairments will certainly appreciate that.

I just re-watched the pilot and they identify Diana as "43 and divorced."

I thought the episode was riveting and nicely done. I'm never going to laugh at a woman or question what she's wearing after having a gun to her head and hog-tied in a bathroom. I think this is harder to watching knowing that in just a couple of weeks she has to deal with kanye's breakdown on top of all of this. She's a human being and personally I feel badly for her.

I think I'm the only person here who doesn't dislike Robyn and really hasn't throughout the entirety of the series! Aspyn chose to move into Robyn's house when she moved back to Las Vegas, Mariah credits her for making it easier to come out and had a separate private chat with her after the family announcement and even Meri includes her as a mediator in her marriage talks. I guess it's a low bar to say that the family seems to really like her but I've never seen her as a terrible and conniving individual. I really appreciated that she basically told Meri that it's not Mariah's responsibility to help her understand. I personally thought it was deplorable for Meri to tell Mariah that she'd always had expectations of a son-in-law and grandchildren. Keep those thoughts to yourself. Regardless of the fact that as far as we all know Mariah can have children should she choose to, it's hurtful and unnecessary to project your unfulfilled expectations onto your children. Gay or not, Mariah was NEVER required to give Meri any of those things.

My apologies if anyone answered this as I'm only through six pages of responses so far. I'm still on Christmas vacation and have been re-watching old seasons, which is a lot more fun when you know the backstory of how much everyone dislikes each other. Anyway, it's the Q&A episode in season 5 where they address how they would feel if any of their children came out as gay. Oddly enough, all the parents share their thoughts on the matter (pretty supportive) except for Meri who remains silent.
