Someone on Tumblr mentioned this and I did love this symmetry. Beckett making dinner waiting for Castle to turn up and not turning up and then getting the phone call - mirroring the night of her mother's murder (it also mirrored Castle in Beast waiting in the loft except without the phone call part). They need to bring Marisa back for Espo. Did like the scene of the trio in the break room.

Thanks. Thought it was but as I said I hadn't watched it since just after it aired so wasn't 100% sure. Might have to do a 3XK episodes rewatch before the two-parter I think to freshen up the memory again. I wouldn't be surprised when they do the investigation if they do a mini recap (like what they did in Probable Cause / Disciple, etc).

I haven't watched Disciple in about a year but I think it was when he was in jail - Nieman was working at the same jail. But that is going off the top of my head.

Two parter is Episodes 14 and 15, Space episode is 716 (which they are filming at the moment).

It's from 716. My spec would be it'd be something like the scenes in 703 or 706 which involved stunt doubles (so factory scenes?). Usually Willow Studios where they filmed today they do the gritty scenes there (as per Andy's BTS tweets today - they filmed some scenes from 712 there).

You'd expect them to be in more scenes together in this episode than 712 since he's the witness to the crime. So he's not going to only be investigating his PI angle but also helping the NYPD as a witness. Probably should have taken that to the Spoilers and Spec thread. Heh.

Except this time I'm guessing they didn't set the whole thing up like in TLOO. Unless you're thinking of a different episode.

Per Dara's tweet yesterday we know Chad is writing 7.17 (solo credit).

They start filming 7.16 today. Terri wrote it and Paul H is directing.Count me in who is looking forward to 3XK and Doc N working in tandem.

I wouldn't put it past them teaming up for the 150th Episode since that's due in the May Sweeps.

Yep. That's why it's no surprise IMO they sent Stana to pick up the awards, since Nathan's definitely got the heavier workload in the two-parter out of any of the cast members.

We're getting Perlmutter in 7.12 as well, which I have no problem with!

Good luck with being spoiler free halwideman. This season I'm spoiler free for HTGAWM, Homeland and The Blacklist and agree it does add to the enjoyment of watching an episode (especially if you do a marathon). The reviews so far seem to be on the positive side which is good, but also going inline with the Double Down element which I expected when I saw that promo after Bad Santa.

And of course I lost my bet as a result. Hehe.

Add me to the list who prefers Perlmutter. And I definitely wouldn't mind the PI thing either. I wasn't a huge fan of S2. In terms of my favourite list not a lot of episodes from S2 makes it. My unpopular opinion is I didn't mind the DC arc. I actually thought it provided some of the stronger episodes last season. I know the show is about Castle following Beckett around, but I wouldn't mind actually seeing some Black Pawn meetings once in a while when he's not in the precinct. WTF is he? Since if he's not at home writing (or playing games). That's been my question a lot when they do the separate investigating.

ITBOTB and then being drugged in Veritas. So I'd take the latter as the last time her life was in danger. But she hasn't had it happen to her yet this season, so nothing like Nieman to bring it on.

Maybe she can go after Meredith instead of Beckett (even though that would require grabbing Darby from the Scandal set). J/k.

Totally OT but Doyle and Murdoch are pretty damn big here on pay-tv in Australia. Just had to say that even though Doyle's finished over there where you are now. And in regards to the ratings. It's always been an interesting thing for me, because with cable aka Pay-TV here in Australia, if you have problem with them they can fix the channel by ringing up and they test the feed for you and you can record their programs (if you have an iQ box). Yet you'd think because of this they would then just include their subscribers into the ratings system (I'm talking in terms of programmes being record so inclusive in the +7 ratings here), but they still use the old format (selective few).

Random side note I love that people now realise that Amann and Roe are doing 7.14 because Rob K tweeted it even though I posted that a week ago. Heh. I think the PI thing will be temporary but I think it may last longer than the DC angle (I'm going with possibly 4 episodes min - that would include the first part of the two parter). But I have no evidence to back up the 4th episode part (only 3 at this stage). I also think Castle will keep his PI licence so if he wants to use it in the future aka to gain access to things that NYPD may not be able to he could do so without breaching protocols.
