  1. This was one of those shows I thought after the first 30 minutes or so I just wasted 45 minutes of my life I won't get back but with the exception of the story line with the doofus broad the story line with SBK and the two brothers was typical Elementary. As far as the doofus broad I'm not going to waste time critiquing all the holes in that POS story line.
  2. Note to self. Never ever read these forums before you actually watch the episode.
  3. IMHO this was another stellar show in what is probably the final season. As far as Shinwell for me it didn't add to or distract from most of the story lines this year.
  4. I finally got a chance to watch this and overall it was a good episode. Even though CBS will probably cancel the show after this season, this has been one of the best shows on TV for years and I will sadly miss Sherlock, Joan, Captain Gregson and Marcus.
  5. If I remember correctly one of their top ranked shows "The Good Wife" was always on Sunday night after "Madame Secretary".
  6. Boy this is a tough crowd. I enjoyed the episode. Not the best Elementary for sure but it's still better than 95% of the tripe on TV these days both cable and commercial networks.
  7. Not even sure why I watched this but the promo's looked like it might be interesting. And boy was I wrong. For me one show was enough to not wasting the time to watch another show. I was OK until the final judging and when the fat chick beat the black chick it seemed like this is nothing more than poor reality programing and the results are pre-determined.
  8. God I hate CBS. A show I wanted to watch The Good Wife Spinoff and of course CBS has it on the All Access crap which I ain't freaking going to pay for.
  9. I normally love Elementary but this episode I just didn't care for. Not sure why but it is one I would not watch a second time.
  10. I'm ambivalent about the Shinwell character although I do like his demeanor. Nice to see a character that never gets excited.
  11. Against my better judgement I finally watched this episode On Demand and I'm glad I did. Finally a decent show. Sure there were some convoluted solutions but a decent set up for the future which is more than I can say for the last several years of tripe they put out there for us to watch.
  12. Seriously. I just bought the 4 year DVD set from Amazon and are in the process of watching it. The writing and acting is as good now as it was in the beginning two years I've now watched.
  13. Quite the contrary. I'm an old man and names are my not my forte. I neither like or dislike his story and it's addition to the show.
  14. And who is Shinwell. I thought I knew most of the major characters with this show and I for the life of me have no idea who Shinwell is. From a lot of the dialog on here most people don't care for Kitty. Personally I like the character and having her on the show for me provides additional interest to go with the main characters on the show.
  15. Even five years into this show, it still is head and shoulders above any of the other tripe on TV today. Story lines, character development and lead actors are the best. The facial expressions on Jonny Lee Miller alone make it worth watching. His expressions when seeing Archie is something I've looked at multiple times over the past week.
  16. I respectfully disagree. I bought the first four seasons DVD's and are watching them now. I do not notice a noticeable drop off in the writing. True that many shows the story lines sometimes are quirky but for me the excellence of the show continues with superior acting and story lines I always find intriguing.
  17. Great. Now I can come here, get recaps of the episode and save myself the 50 minutes or so I use to spend watching this tripe. Thanks again folks for you comments.
  18. Holy smokes CBS cancels after only two shows. I thought the show had some potential but WTF do I know.
  19. Dr. John "Trapper John" McIntyre. One of my all time favorite movies. The first time we saw it I was the only one in the theater who laughed at the loudspeaker in the background with the "fallout for short arm inspection". Guess I must have been the only veteran in the crowd.
  20. Missed the pilot but liked this episode. Gould, Dule and most of the characters are fine. Will be fine to watch till it gets cancelled. Note to the wardrobe staff. The Sadie blouse was awful. Lose it and anymore like it.
  21. This needs to be the final season.
  22. I DVR'd this show but after reading this comment forum I'm not even going to watch it. I'm done. The five main characters have become predictable, boing and not the least bit interesting even in the world of make believe TV. At least Jessica gave the show some character. This show like PSL has become a shell of its former self.
  23. Minor point but the writers need to research their content more carefully. It's not cement, it's concrete. Cement is but one component of concrete. Cement, water, aggregate (small rock) and sand.
  24. Still better episode that the past several years but a far cry from the first couple of years. Donna is starting to wear thin but at least Louis remained sane most of the night.
  25. Typical Black-ish show. I get the thought process on the new baby name. But I've grown weary on how Bow and Dre treat the kids. In my world that's pretty poor parenting.
