Yes. Properties here have appreciated significantly since 2015, so she should, logically, be able to take out at least $500,000 again, based on equity. So the issue is with her credit which, now that she has a Notice of Default filed, is shot to hell. I am curious to see what happens. It isn't that much money in the scheme of things. I could pull that much from my 401k or even get it from cash advances on credit cards if I had to. She has to have equity so she should at least have the condo on the market and get something out of it.

Yes, she has been refinancing and taking the cash out to live on-tax free money BTW- That works for awhile until you have tapped out your equity. That is probably what has happened. I would bet she has a ton of other debt, which impacts your credit score, making it more difficult to refinance again.

Strategic defaults are done when the real estate market tanks-you have no equity anyway so you walk away. The OC market is solid and the article said she owed less than $450,000-not a huge mortgage here. She could have sold, saved her credit, and got some cash. Or paid their mortgage and stayed.

You are right about the money, but these women are famewhores, they have to be. I just read Gretchen's house was in foreclosure, which wouldn't have made the news if she wasn't a former HW. So, you give up your privacy even after you leave the show. It has to be the need for attention, not the money. Gina is awful. I would expect some changes next season. Most seem to hate Madison, but BRAVO often brings back "love to hate". I hope she is back, she is the only remotely interesting thing about Austen, or they could dump both of them. I hope Danni is gone, and I am finding Katherine just tedious at this point. Seems to me, if she was really worried about her kids, she would clean up her act. Whining about "Thomas will see this" when discussing her obviously "impaired" appearance on WWHL, while spending however many episodes discussing her casual hook up with Whitney. Thomas says she is a sex addict, she also alluded to "friendly" hook ups with Shep, all that is fine for TV, but anything real and she starts whining. She still has "supervised" visits? And Madison is the appropriate supervisor? Was Shep busy? Those poor kids. The only thing entertaining about Katherine are the costumes (because outfit is too much of an understatement). The Pipi Longsticking look was everything. I wonder if Naomie will be back or Metul will pressure her to quit since he did not exactly look like a prize this season. Eliza brought the best Real Estate Porn, and ultimately seems like a sweet, but very naive, young woman, I kind of doubt she will return.

Danni is reduced to tears because she is a weak Drama Queen. I sincerely hope they cut her since she brings nothing to the show and never has. She should have told Madison to F off and it should have been over, instead of giving it any value. But then, it is pretty much the only story line she has ever had other than acting as Katherines doormat.

This. I really don't see the big deal, unless Danni wants us to believe she is a virgin. I have slept with 2 men in my life and I was diagnosed with HPV, which is a hell of a lot scarier as it can lead to Cancer. Dani's reaction is over the top. Katherine is a self absorbed addict. She has had this whole redemption arc, but she is simply not a good person and I really feel for those children, and the judge deciding which lousy parent is the correct choice.

You have to get New Orleans on netflix, the season is over and, sadly, I don't think it will return (no Reunion show, BRAVO kiss of death). I have yet to get through a whole episode of Dallas, but I will try, once again. The pickings are so thin.

Because, sadly, it seems Southern Charm, New Orleans never caught on. Men with stable relationships and, shocking as it is on BRAVO, actual, real careers. If that isn't shocking enough, they also try to give back to their community. Yes, there is still drama, and they have at least one standard issue BRAVO guy, but he is the exception and even he has some ability to self reflect and try to improve. The contrast to the three stooges on this show is amazing.

Because everything always has to be about Katherine, or she is bored. She may have improved over her early crazy, but she is still not a good person, IMO. Her reaction to Danni when she was crying over the big secret was evidence of what a lousy friend she is. Her performance on WWH and admitting at the reunion she still drinks brings into question how good a mother she is. I really don't get all the Katherine love.
