I liked Evan Rachel Wood as Sophie Anne but man I really wish they hadn't messed with her the way they did because book SA played a bigger part with Rhodes etc. I wanted to see that on screen. I also liked show Godric even though book Godric was different and not Eric's maker.

Book Tara wasn't around much and she married JB DuRone. I also didn't like that show Sookie's telepathy was due to her fairy nature. And I think that TB missed the mark by saying Jason didn't have any fairy in him because I think in the books it was stated that his good looks were what he inherited since fae were all beautiful people.

Speaking of the 4th book compared to the 4th season I wasn't a fan of Marnie. Her book counterpart Hallow was more intimidating as the plots villan.

I thought Claude was in the show at that fairy club in the middle of that field? I wish he and Claudine had bigger parts. I'm still annoyed over the way Eric's amnesia played out on the show and that we didn't get the book 4 shower scene.

While the show deviated from the books long ago minus some characters being in both it makes me wonder if the show would have been better if it had stuck closer to its literary counterpart. Agree? Disagree? What book characters do you wish had made it on to the show and what show characters do you wish were in the books?

There have been 3 NBA players. Clyde Drexler who was partnered with Elena Grinenko (season 3 or 4 perhaps?), Rick Fox who was partnered with Cheryl and Metta World Peace who was Peta's first partner (they were eliminated first and then Peta was partnered with Donald Driver of the Green Bay Packers the following season and that's the season she won).

Tony and Melissa did a similar routine to Derek/Kelli's in the All Star season just prior.

Is it really a showmance if the people in question actually went out before the season was announced and those two people haven't really played into the line of questioning thrown at them? CAI wants you to believe it, the editing monkeys and producers are trying to push it but on the showmance scale I don't see J/P totally playing it up.

I had always wished there had been more flashbacks to Lorelei's teen years with Christopher and Lorelei with toddler Rory. I'm not sure how they would've been woven in but it was an interesting back story to me. And does anyone know why Christopher's parents never had a relationship with Rory?

So because she wears skimpy dance costumes we should assume that she's like that in her daily life? Then should one assume because Candace is more modest that she doesn't wear skimpy lingerie for her husband, while the pros/contestants are being judged on what they do/don't wear.

Let's see when she started she was in a long term relationship with former pro Damien Whitewood for 5 years (who was Pam Anderson's pro her initial season) then things ended and she dated Maks for 10 months. Her first showmance was Brant last season. And she went on a date with James /before/ the season and contestants were announced. Peta may favor skimpy costumes but that doesn't equal her sleeping with her partners. And even if she did why is her personal life up for debate? she doesn't bring up her date with James the producers have and shes done her best to give vague answers. No one has to like her costumes but I dont think its fair to judge her character on them.

And Juliannes outfit can be seen as lingerie with those thigh highs. I don't see the difference. Women wear less on a beach so I'm not going to demonize her costume choices. JMO.

Unfortunately I can't copy/paste links while I'm mobile but Peta's outfit while it may not have worked for a samba was right on par with Julianne's outfit she wore for a rumba during her season that she danced with then boyfriend Chuck Wicks. Just Google it.

Perhaps James invited her with his fans blessing.

I didn't even notice. lol I typo a lot when I'm on my phone. I also think r&b singer Mario who partnered with Marina in s6 (I think it was 6) was labeled a ringer as well.

Plenty of guys got the finger label. Mario Lopez (season 3) Joey Fatone (season 4) Evan Lysacek. Just to name a few.

I believe it was in Bristol Palins season that Mark made a passive aggressive remark about dance experience vs non experience. Of if it wasn't her season it was another but Mark whined.

I thought the AT was sexy but not intentionally sexy if that makes sense. It just came off that way IMO. For a non traditional AT music I thought it was passionate and they displayed great chemistry.

Had Erin not brought up James/Peta there probably wouldn't have been any mention of it. On this I blame the producers for making one date out to be a life long commitment. It appeared to me that even Peta found it uncomfortable when Erin said something.

I also feel that this why some people find Maks to be boring. (not his personality) but that he seems to focus on teaching the dance rather than putting a lot of flash 'n' trash. Now, has he done that before? Yes but I think when compared to Derek, Maks focuses more on teaching the actual dance rather than something that's called a cha cha or foxtrot or quickstep but really is just a bunch of flashy choreography to appease the audience.

I fail to see what the big deal about Charlie and Peta is. I think they will be just fine together. Peta is a lovely dancer IMO.

Someone on TWoP said she was the blonde bombshell archetype and I think it fits. I enjoy her dancing and find that shes often unfairly criticized for her costume choices when I see people wear less in their everyday lives in the summer. That said I find her to be pleasant and I enjoy her dancing.
