  1. Overall I really agreed with the Judge's opinions. Sasha's was just gorgeus, Stella's was just amazing and Kahlen's was good and within the challenge framework(I thought Dina's was probably better, but it barely registered the challenge). The rest were somewhere between 'meh' and 'get that off my screen right now'. I kind of wish Mr 'I just threw a Easter Island head on this guy and called it a day' had been on the bottom just so he could be called on that.. especially since he couldn't even be assed to color the hands the same as the head.
  2. I think what the photo showed was Meredith in the room at the lakehouse. There was a photo of Meredith because it was part of Meredith's belongings.
  3. I could see doing it as someone with skin so badly scarred or pockmarked they have a peanut shell pattern to their face. Though it should be noted they /chose/ the peanuts when there were still IIRC, the truck, a tommygun and a knife left to choose from. So they picked the one that immediately made me go 'Oh that was a horrible choice, you're going to be in the bottom' when they weren't the last ones picking and they had better choices on hand.
  4. I think the people with the Peanut were really lucky the rat didn't meet the challenge's requirements because otherwise i'm pretty sure it would have been one of them up there, because that was straight up hideous on every level(I can at least give the rat that it had a competent face sculpt and no glaring edges). I'm surprised the Needle guy made it into the top 3 but the Shark didn't. The Needle guy besides the hairline has really bad edges showing, especially around the mouth where they're about as abrupt and visible as the hairline. The Shark is a bit on the nose, but the sculpt and paint job were really good.
  5. I'm guessing since it's a Dick Tracy inspired challenge that is okay, the Dick Tracy goons generally had disproportionate heads(either too small or too large) as part of the general caricature look they had. IMO what really made the Typewriter and Big Tuna work is that they really went with the whole caricature idea and ran with it, they didn't look like people or people-object hybrids but caricatures of people(like I could see a political cartoon of a politician looking like Big Tuna if they wanted to signify something was fishy with him).
  6. How much money did the Orphans have at that point? Because the duffel bag didn't look like it was carrying a lot and they had killed at least two of the listed people so far, so had millions to go around. Maybe that was their walking around money.
  7. I don't really see what is inconsistent there. 'This worked so we praise it and this didn't so we criticize it' is how judging works, that it's the same method being critiqued doesn't change the basic calculus of works vs doesn't work. Blond girl's decision to minimalize the provided piece to focus on what she wanted to make ended up making a successful end product, old guy's decision to turn a throat piece he had no idea what to do with, something that could easily be minimalized because it's a throat piece, into a mask backfired incredible because he still had no idea what he wanted to do with it, but now it's the entire center piece of the make up. It's not like that was the only repurposing, or lack thereof, they commented on like with one person using their supplied werewolf prosthetics as caricature pirate make up or the comment on the slit throat girl about the lack of creativity in how the prosthetic was used.
  8. Could be the actor became unavailable. IIRC, minor reoccuring roles usually aren't on contract and Danny's actor may have a new job or something.
  9. My guess is that we'll probably see Liam, Garrett or the new gay kid orphaned than any of the main ones. Or it could be a metaphorical title and not relate to any actual orphaning.
  10. The vibe i'm getting is that the mouthless guy is actually a banshee as well.

Possible answer for the eye color: Peter asked what color Derek's eyes were to deduct what age he was brought to. Maybe the reversion here isn't complete, physically he aged up but mentally/physically he's now pre-Paige.

Why would he run off with it? A comfortable happy life isn't his plans from what we've seen.
  13. I can't imagine how Wesley Crusher could be a Gary Stu, he's around from the beginning of the show and is more of just your run of the mill annoying kid genius character(which were really common in that era of TV/film). Which isn't to say he's well written or a good character, but if Mary/Gary Stu just means 'character I don't like' it loses all meaning, especially since it's perfectly possible to like a Mary/Gary Stu character.
  14. Isn't pretty much the single biggest key aspect of the Mary Sue that they're a author insert in a fanfic so the author can write themselves as the object of their favorite character's affections etc? Personally I find using the term outside of fanfiction weird, it describes a real trend within fanfic writing but isn't really transferable outside of the fanfic world. The writing issues and tropes that go into introducing a new character on TV are their own thing and don't really mesh with fanfiction terminology.
  15. Season 3B, the people Chris was selling guns to when the Oni attacked in his flashback were Yakuza.
  16. Why would we consider the Callaveras good guys when they've only acted as antagonists so far? The show has never really treated the hunters as good guys, Chris and Allison have been primarily used as antagonists during their hunter phases on the show. The Callaveras are unlikely to start being good guys anytime soon, unless the show radically changes the direction it depicts hunters. They're not the current main antagonists(which falls to Kate), but I doubt we'll see them ever being anything other than a obstacle or antagonist. And in a general moral sense both groups of hunters we've seen so far aren't really 'the good guys' even taking out their hunting habits that make them antagonists to the main characters: The Argents are gun runners for organized crime and the Callaveras look to be some kind of criminal operation as well.
