I wouldn’t call Taylor and Brooke a lesbian relationship but a bisexual relationship.

I agree but for folks who don't know them - they would be seen as a lesbian couple. Of course since these characters don't interact with anyone other than family, I guess that's a moot point!

    Quote

I am starting to get cold feet that BBell won't fully go there. If he actually has the guts to move forward, I hope the writers don't ruin it. I would hate to have Braylor be in a serious relationship, then Ridge comes back and both women have a major backslide and go right back to being bitter enemies.

I don't really believe a serious relationship will happen between Brooke and Taylor. I don't think the show has the guts to do it. Though maybe they could explore a bit?!? I mean it doesn't have to be true love!

Regardless, I just have no interest in seeing them become enemies again (no matter if the show actually goes there or not) over that greasy waffle. I don't at all. I am enjoying the Braylor vibe and would hate for that to change. So naturally that's probably exactly what will happen because I can never have nice things on this show.

I can't quite put my finger on why I like them so much, but I think it has a lot to do with Show never allowing female friendships.

I think you are correct but also I think it's because the actresses have a lot of chemistry which is more than we can say about most of the couples on this show! KKL has negative chemistry with TK and KA might have a slight bit more with him. And they've both been trapped in more scenes with him than anyone else for ages (esp poor KKL). I have to admit I also enjoy their giddiness at being free from Ridge.

    Quote

I would love to see Brooke picking up on some flirty spark between Deacon and Taylor and deciding to fix the two of them up. (Not because she thinks it clears the path for her to reunite with Ridge, but just because she genuinely likes both of them and wants to see them happy.)

I'd enjoy that too except the 'writers' have decided to ruin Deacon with this alleged love of Sheila. Even if he managed to get something going with Taylor it would all tumble down because of his involvement with Sheila.

    Dumb, dumber, and dumbest.

Here Aunt Steffy, you are now the legal custodian of your nephew Douglas! Oh, we won't bother asking you about it, you know shit like, can you take on the responsibility of a child. Or do you have any children. Or are you married and how will your husband feel. Additionally, it isn't necessary for the courts to check you and your past out. Nor is it necessary to check out Douglas's future living arrangements. No, when an 8 year old boy makes up his mind, well, that is all there is to it.

Exactly! Now I don't expect absolute reality on soaps but when it comes to the law at least try to come close! This is just Bell-A reality meaning it's dumber than dumb as usual. I know my 'law degree' is watching Law & Order and other such lawyer tv shows but come on! As you mentioned, the court doesn't need to check any of these things out? Steffy is just that famous? Nor do we need to even ask if she wants this responsibility. Nope the child says Aunt Steffy and off we go!

This show is just painfully dumb. Oh it's capable of good soap once in a blue moon but basically it's just contrived BS as we lurch from one 'storyline' to to the next. Most of the actors keep this nonsense afloat because it sure isn't the alleged professional writers.

Show can entirely miss me on trying to make Sheila sympathetic in her martyrdom

There's no way for me to care less about Sheila and her ... whatever. She has more than overstayed her time on the show. And yet here we are stuck watching her glower and blink over having to steel clear of Deacon. And sorry, no I don't believe Sheila loves Deacon. She isn't capable of love, so it's all rather pointless.

While I think the Brooke/Taylor stuff has been very rushed and I further think the show is trolling with the idea of them being together together ... I'd still rather watch that than any of the other nonsense going on.

But she didn't fake her death,

Ok I have a question. Did she deliberately remove the toe so the dumb Bell-A PD would think she was dead or did she accidentally lose the toe and the dumb BELL-A PD thought she was dead as a result?

I guess the only doctor in Bell-A (Bridget) was too busy or not in the area to explain to the Bell-A PD and to the Forrester's, Spencer's  and Logan's that a toe is not the same as the heart.

If Taylor didn’t know that Bill did the deed with Steffy, then why did she shoot him?

I think Anna Yolei meant Taylor didn't find out Steffy willingly and happily rode the stallion until after she shot him. Before that she believed the greasy waffle version of events.

    Quote

Yeah, watching the two of them today, I was yelling, "Take that bitch down Katie!"

Me too for sure. My, the security at Forrester is fantastic! Sheila just wanders in with no issues. Though honestly I'm sick to death of her going all over town like a glowering, threatening black cloud. Simply over whatever this storyline is supposed to be.

Except for Taylor and Brooke. I am enjoying the hell out of their friendship. This is the most I have liked Brooke since back when she was with Thorne!

I think today proved that Taylor is going to have to clear this up with the police because she can’t have Sheila forever hanging this over her head. Sheila is going to continue to demand more time with Finn and Hayes and God knows what else as long as she has this leverage.

Completely agree. Sheila is never going to be happy with just not going to prison. Or with having Bill at her beck and call. Nope. She is incapable of accepting what she has as being enough. If the blackmail doesn't give her that time with Finn and Hayes she will inevitably do something insane and dangerous. That's the entire history of this character.

None of these people ever heard of a restraining order?  All of them have cause.

Well since Sheila is holding the whole Taylor shot Bill thing over everyone's head, I kinda doubt a restraining order would carry much weight.

    Quote

The episode ending with Taylor being comforted by Brooke, including being snuggled up against Brooke’s bosom was not on my bingo card.

I suppose not! Still they have better chemistry together than either of them have with TK and honestly, I much prefer BFF mode to them fighting ... esp over that greasy waffle Ridge.

Hope, Steffy, Taylor, Brooke, Katie, Finn, Liam, et al.: "I just can't believe that Sheila's out there roaming free. She belongs behind bars. (On a loop)

Steffy, Brooke, Taylor, Liam: "Bill (Dad), you've got to see that Sheila's just using you. Dump here ASAP! She belongs behind bars. Yadda, yadda, yadda."

There is nothing the writers of this show love more than to repeat dialogue endlessly. How long did we hear Brooke blathering on about why she drank on New Year's Eve? How many times did we hear about Eric's little soldier problem?

    Quote

Deacon imports the water for his pizza crust? What the hell?!!

I remember reading something about people getting New York tap water to make pizza dough. I'd google it but I really don't care. Where did Deacon suddenly find money to buy a restaurant? Wasn't he living in the cleaning closet for a time (not that there's anything wrong with that)? Why would an investor give money to an ex convict conman who has never run a restaurant? Why do I bother asking?

I also don't understand this whole thing with Steffy flipping our about Taylor going to the police. First of all there's no guarantee anyone would believe her. Second, there's no proof even if she confessed and it's been 5 years! Third, Steffy has seen these cops in action ... she believes anything would happen to Taylor over this?!? As if. Just let Taylor go to the cops to get this blackmail off the table. It doesn't solve everything of course because Bill paid that stupid judge but at least Taylor's crime would be addressed.

Yeah, I don’t get the García hate

I don't hate the character but I used to like her a lot more than I do currently. I loved her at the start of the show - I suppose she was on in more small doses. However, that changed as the show began to rely less on actual profiling and detective work and turned to Garcia's magical computer. And the cutesy thing wore off too (for me). All that ridiculous nicknames and so on with Morgan also annoyed me as it went on and on - though thankfully he isn't around anymore. At this point, the less I see Garcia the happier I am.

I'm watching this as long as Prentiss is a part of it. She's my favorite and always has been.

Emily just rattling off the fact that she'd been assaulted, beaten, and killed in the line of duty, and so nonchalantly at that, was a great comeback. I like when the show can poke fun at itself like that, and acknowledge all the crazy stuff the team's been through over the years.

    That made me laugh!

he's sacrificing himself to protect his family from Sheila.

I feel like this is what's going on because of some of the dialogue over the last couple of days but especially today. However, it's still dumb. I mean wouldn't everyone in Bill's life be safer if Sheila were in prison?

If this is his plan - sell her on his undying love and she'll leave everyone alone? It won't work because Sheila is never happy with what she has! She will demand more and more and at some point will do something violent or crazy or both. That's Sheila. There's no escaping it.

And sorry even if the writers don't realize it, I think the audience knows Bill is smart enough to know who and what Sheila is and would know this plot is bound to fail.

Watching Bill and Sheila kiss is not appealing at all. Not even a tiny bit. Yikes. And what is up with the creepy/horror music accompanying their 'love' scene?

OMG! So agree. She was fantastic!  Sadly we had to go over to the Liam, Hope, Steffy, Finn meeting of the so-called minds and those actors looked horrid in comparison to HT.

Bill standing there mute was ridiculous. Sheila and her usual snarling was tiresome. Katie touched the necklace today, so if it's poisoned will she start defending Sheila too?!?

I really don't know what is going on at this moment but I can say I'm pretty much over Zombie!Bill and Sheila's reign of terror.

It's good to think that $Bill is running a long con on Sheila, but when did he start and why?

I want to believe it's a long con. I do but it just doesn't make much sense, like you said. Turn Sheila in to the cops and done. The long con just prolongs this nonsense. So then I have to hope for necklace poison which is equal dumb but at least has some history with Sheila and would explain Zombie!Bill.

Whatever is going on, it's boring and stupid (I realize I've typed that more than a few times and so have the rest of you but it needs to be repeated if anyone from the show is reading). This mess is starting to make me a bit nostalgic for the Bill obsessed with a building story line!

Sheila tried to kill her own mother (she set fire to the house where she had Lauren and her mom tied up). Sheila will absolutely harm anyone if it suits her purpose and allows her to live another day.

Great point! Honestly, I've probably forgotten a lot of the crap Sheila pulled on Y&R, much less this show. I am way over her at this point.

Plus, I didn't even think it was possible for a pairing to have less chemistry than TK and KKL - who have negative chemistry but show is setting out to prove me wrong. DD and KB have negative negative chemistry. I think Thomas and that mannequin managed more chemistry. And watching them kiss? Ugggh. Just awful.

Why do they act like Shiela is the Devil Incarnate. She’s crazy as a loon but she will not harm Hayes nor Finn and would be stupid to harm anyone else.

I will admit to not being the most attentive viewer of this show (the FF button tends to be my friend) but didn't Sheila shoot Finn and Steffy? Run Li off the road and try to kill her? Held Finn prisoner? I mean those things all seem pretty bad and worthy of keeping someone from a child!

    Quote

But the complete lack of legal reality is just going beyond the pale. Bill introduces new evidence that no one has seen, not the police, or the DA's office, and it is just taken into evidence as fact?

Right? I'm not involved in the legal profession at all and still know this isn't how any of this works. Do these writers not realize that most of us have at least some knowledge of the legal system in this country? Or in the very least legal knowledge from watching Law and Order?!?

The thing is the writers could have avoided this nonsense if they wanted Sheila to stick around. Just don't have the character attempt to murder people. So simple! Instead here we are again watching (or in my case semi-watching) an absolutely stupid storyline that doesn't make a lick of sense.

Whether they remain besties or something more, it’s so nice to see them getting along and having fun together vs fighting or pining over that worthless glob of Crisco known as Ridge

I agree! I don't care how suddenly it happened or how unlikely it is, I much prefer watching them be pals than fight over that useless waffle.

Onto the rest of the show, can someone ... anyone explain to me what is happening with this Bill/Sheila nonsense? None of this makes a bit of sense. Not one single bit. Okay so the police don't have witness testimony about the attempted murders of Steffy and Finn ... fine. But those aren't Sheila's only crimes! She broke out of prison! That doesn't require witness testimony.

    Quote

Now Shiela was coerced into escaping prison. How can you be coerced into escaping prison?  Shiela could have refused to leave. Did Mike have a gun to Shiela’s head?

LOL. Lawd. A yes poor, sweet, innocent Sheila was made to escape prison. Forced to fake her death! Where exactly did she get a toe to leave as evidence of her death? Of course, she was forced to go along with that too!

Why doesn't Steffy go to Taylor and explain the situation? Oh wait, right ... Bill threatened that only Steffy, Finn. Bill and Sheila can know about this. Ummm what can Bill do if Steffy goes to Taylor and says mom I need your help and Taylor agrees to go to the cops about shooting Bill? Bill will ... tell the cops?!?

    I. Do. Not. Understand what is happening. I really don't.

There is Taylor’s confession and Steffy begging Bill not to turn her in. Bill agrees because of his feelings for Steffy.

Taylor confessed to the police under oath? Then she'd be in prison. Bill decided not to tell the police who did it and now he'd tell them and they'd believe him? Maybe, but if Taylor doesn't admit it, then what? Where is there physical proof of Taylor committing the crime? Bill giving Steffy a house because of his feelings isn't proof of anything except his feelings.

Regardless, blackmailing Steffy with the Taylor shooting Bill thing is just dumb. Criminal charges against Sheila have got nothing to do with Steffy or Finn. The police would be arresting her and bringing her up on charges no matter what those two morons say. But I suppose here in B&B land, those two suddenly saying nope it wasn't Sheila who tried to kill us will clear up those charges instantly.

There is absolutely no proof that Taylor shot Bill. When he was in the hospital, he was blaming Ridge, then he said he didn't remember.

Exactly! It's just dumb. Now should Taylor have gotten away with it? No of course not. But it's been forever and there is no proof at all. Plus with the recast of Taylor it is kinda hard to see her being as unhinged as OGTaylor.

Would it be fair for those that want representation to have the two cis heroines for decades on the show to suddenly become sexually fluid?

On Guiding Light the character of Olivia's last romance was with a woman. And Olivia was a character who sure had plenty of male partners! Olivia and Natalia were played by straight actresses but the response was pretty positive. But then again that was many years ago now and I'd guess the representation would be viewed differently. Not that I believe for an instant that Brooke and Taylor will be hooking up!

I am waaaay over Bill and his ridiculous tears. Oh and his ridiculous necklace of evil.

Everyone sitting around judging Thomas and then kicking him out of Forrester Creations?!? Please.  None of them should sit in judgement .

I will grant you that each has done some pretty sketchy stuff but Thomas still deserves judgement. Just because others have done stuff doesn't make what he did okay. For me the worst was the stuff he put his son through! All so he could manipulate Hope (again) and parent trap Ridge and Taylor? Lawd.

    Quote

I get the scene of them all walking out may have been more dramatic but Thomas having to walk out in shame and down the halls of FC with his sad little box with Ridge slamming the door in his face could’ve been just as effective.

Yeah I would have preferred that too. I just really don't get what the writers are doing with Thomas. First they write a whole obsessed with Hope thing. Then they write a redemption of sorts blaming all his issues on a medical thing (was it brain damage or something I honestly don't remember). It wasn't much of a redemption to be sure but since they bothered to write that why turn around and put the character right back to the same place?!? It just makes no sense. Whatever. I probably have put more thought into any of this than the writers have.

Steffy is acting like Shiela is a serial killer that wants to kill her family  and turn them into meat pie.

I suppose Sheila isn't technically a serial killer but that's certainly not for a lack of trying! I think I'd be scared if that maniac was after me!! Though that still wouldn't cause me wear that hat Steffy had on today ... or the rest of the outfit.

I have to say I have been enjoying these versions of Brooke and Taylor quite a lot. I know one of them (most likely Brooke) will be back with Ridge before the new year but I am going to enjoy this for now. I actually liked Steffy's talk with Taylor today too.

However, the entire car chase was absolutely hilarious. So much bad acting. Yikes.

    What's worse is I can't figure out what's behind $Bill's complete meltdown.

I just love how he's all upset at the idea she might be interested in Carter but cannot seem to fathom why she isn't enamored by the idea he begged her to take him back and when rejected ran to Brooke with nearly the same script.

I'll type it again: I really do not get what the writers are doing with Bill. And good lawd can we stop with the necklace of doom stuff?!? The scenes were well acted of course, but then the necklace stuff started and I cracked up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall Brooke or Taylor saying they were never going to be with Ridge again. I thought they both basically agreed to not let him waffle between them and I assume if eventually if one decides to be with him the other would not be 'the other woman' so to speak. Steffy made it sound like they were both done with Ridge forever.

Now I would prefer they both dump him from now to eternity but I think we all know that ain't gonna happen. The most I am hoping for is an end to the seemingly endless triangle and waffling.

I thought Brooke and Taylor were over the top. I've changed my mind. I can see how two women in this situation were feeling relieved and giddy about what they had done and should have done years ago. Yes, I watched the episode a second time.

I absolutely agree! It certainly was in a sense a prison of their own making, but to finally decide to leave the prison has to be a happy moment. I can understand the giddy. I loved the confrontation with Ridge because both Brooke and Taylor got their say and both said things that were absolutely correct.

KA and KKL look like are having a blast in their scenes.

Well I mean it has to be a relief to have some new lines that don't include crying over the giant waffle. KA hasn't been stuck in that rut for as long as KKL but both have to be over it already. Frankly I think KKL has better chemistry with KA than she does with TK!

I really don't understand what the writers are doing with Bill. I'm happy to see him onscreen but like this? No thanks.

    'Is that a diffuser?' Hilarious.
