To me this is the biggest issue - the writers writing Dimm so dim. How much more interesting would the story be if Dimm was actually listening to his wife and in laws and Sheila would have to be fighting for his attention? Or if he at least was on the fence about everything and doing some basic research? This immediate acceptance and jump to calling Sheila mom is just dumb. All the way around.
It's sad we spend more time on these idiotic storylines than the writers actually do - writers who get paid for this dreck.

OMG that was the worst and it made zero sense.
The thing is, I know for many adopted kids it's important to find birth parents. I respect that. But soaps generally treat this subject very poorly.
And really how difficult could it be for Finn to jump online and do a simple search for Sheila and discover that everything Steffy and the fam is saying is true? Hells bells, they've barely scratched the surface since I don't think they've covered all the stuff she did in WI!
Back in the day, it would have been harder to verify any of the info but now? Come on. I'm really supposed to believe someone would hear all this stuff and just go - oh well no biggie. Who doesn't have a family member who has attempted murder several times?
But I feel like this is yet another storyline where the writers only planned about 1 step of it and the rest is just a hodge podge of nonsense. This show is only like 20 minutes a day and the writers can't manage to craft a story that makes sense.

I despise the way most soaps treat the adoptive parents of characters. Generally shows write these stories like the birth parents are the be all and end all. It's just so insulting.
In this case, Li raised Finn. She was the one there for all of his life events. She is mom. Sorry but give me a break. Plus, where is the proof Sheila is his birth mother? I mean did they do a DNA test already?!? Dark hair and a vague resemblance is not proof of anything.
I'm already over this story. It's stupid and rushed.
Why is Quinn back with Eric? Why? Why can't I ever have nice things? The show manages to stumble into a pairing with actual chemistry with Quinn and Carter but we have to keep Eric a part of it? WHY?? Why can't he go solve his issue with Donna instead? Sigh.
Paris can leave any time.

That's fair. But I will give her this: she may not give a shit about what was going on, however, she also didn't open her big mouth and act like a moron. Faint praise I suppose but far more than Sonya or Ramona managed this episode. Actually Lu has managed to not be entirely terrible this season unlike Sonya and Ramona and Leah.
I used to love RHoNY. This is the show my sister got me into and we used to call at commercial breaks to laugh over the Van Kampen's back in the day. I can barely tolerate this nonsense anymore. I don't mind Eboni and I do think these women do need a few lessons on race etc. But every single event? Every single episode? It feels like too much.
Sonya peed in a driveway. That seems appropriate somehow to where this show is right now.

As to the Sonny has amnesia storyline - am I sick of it? Hell to the yeah and I've only watched the last month or so! The story is just awful.
Jax vs Sonny? Jax all day every day. Sorry but being a corporate raider is not a crime nor is it illegal. Sonny is a mobster. Now a mobster of what exactly who knows but still plenty of death and violence has followed this character lo these many years. He and his merry band of mob enablers have really hurt this show more than helped it. I think in the beginning the writers were going for a Tony Soprano type thing, but I don't think they ever quite understood that Tony wasn't a hero. On this show? You'd think Sonny was a saint. It's tiresome.
That rager party was amazing! You know when the show doesn't have the budget for a big scene, they really should not bother. I like the suggestion earlier where they should have just had the after party clean up and just focused on the characters they did. It would have made a lot more sense.
I was on the barge for a long time and as mentioned above just started watching again. How is it possible that Carly has gotten even more heinous? I really didn't think it was possible but here we are. Though i do not care at all about the Carly/Jason mob marriage, I think it would be far more interesting if Jason was having feelings for the she-beast and was conflicted.

They certainly are but I don't care. If he keeps Stuffy occupied and away from Liam and Hope? I'm good. I'd rather watch this insomnia duo than anything to do with the triangle of doom. Now I will say I wish they had cast the dude who played Vinny as Finn because he was a much better actor and I think he had more chemistry with JMW.
I don't care one bit about how many people Taylor or Brooke slept with. Or Eric and Ridge for that matter. My issue with Brooke, Ridge and Eric going on and on about Quinn cheating is the hypocrisy. It's tiresome considering the things each of those characters has done over the years.
I suppose they don't bring up a lot of the Quinn past stuff because she committed actual crimes and newer viewers might be left going 'ummm why is she not in prison?!?' The writers want us to just sort of forget all that and move on. While Brooke's past is a crucial part of the history of this show dating back to day 1. And I might also add that while Brooke hasn't committed any actual crimes, her actions should have certainly caused a lot of deep emotional pain and scars for those she wronged. Those things aren't just nothing just because they aren't crimes.
I like Quinn with Carter. Period. I will stick with this show while that is an ongoing concern. If it ends or when it ends, I'm likely to go back to not caring about Quinn one way or the other. I will always despise Brooke.

Of course it would be better! It would make a lot more sense too. As it is, Eric and Ridge are acting as though Quinn is solely responsible for the 'affair' (if you can call it that) and she led Carter astray.
I mean come on. Quinn gets kicked out but Carter keeps his job?!? What's worse is Eric saying Carter cannot see Quinn anymore. Excuse me? If Eric makes a choice to divorce Quinn, it's no longer any of his damn business who she sees. And if Eric chooses to keep Carter employed, his love life is not of any concern to his employer.
Quinn is a questionable character to be sure but this blaming the woman thing is tiresome. Plus Ridge going on and on about Quinn. Ridge who was messing around with her not so long ago! Ok fine they didn't sleep together but they were having an emotional affair for a lot longer than the Quarter one night stand! Add to the mess Brooke going on and on about Quinn cheating. Yeah Brooke because you haven't done some horrible things in the name of destiny. And let's not forget Eric himself - he ain't exactly what one would call a stand up guy. The hypocrisy is mind boggling.
Carter should have stepped down. Period. I don't see why he would even want to put up with Eric's crap. Help Quinn with her business or go and visit Bill - he needs a new lawyer!
But of course if Carter walked away from FC, then we couldn't have ridiculous scenes like a zoom call where Eric sees a dress. Hi-jinks!

This is a very crowded table! I love them together. I'm intrigued. I think they have tons of chemistry and it's just so unexpected. I don't see a lot of chemistry on any of the soaps left, so I'll take what I can get with these two. I think RS and LSV are selling the hell out of this pairing and I didn't even think he had it in him! Quinn and Carter seem like completely different characters when they are together. I approve.
But I know these writers will mess it up somehow - I mean the writers will go on and on and on and on with Liam/Steffy/Hope and sorry none of them have any chemistry with each other. But the show manages to stumble onto a pairing with actual chemistry? Forget it, it will be destroyed. Like I said I will take what I can get.

But why is it over? Technically Liam and Bill covered up a hit and run. I mean certainly neither intended to kill Vinny and he somehow intended to die by getting hit, but they did cover it up. Also since he was able to send that video, he was alive after he was hit - so they left him there to die. Or at least Bill did. While Liam was passed out during Bill making these decisions, he certainly didn't run to cops immediately. He was willing to go along with Bill.
Whatever. I'm spending way more time thinking about this storyline than the writers did.

This storyline is just stupid. It makes no sense. As if her plans wouldn't had to go through many channels to get approved. I live in a mid size town. The downtown is really cute with shops, bars and restaurants. There is a farmers market on Friday afternoon. The main street committee (or whatever they call themselves) work very hard on downtown. Before covid, there was a festival of some sort nearly every weekend.
They closely control what gets built in the area and no box store would be moving into downtown! We've got grocery stores on the outskirts of town: winn dixie, 2 publix, 2 aldi's. We have a super walmart and a walmart neighborhood store. But come on not down town!
I will admit I rather enjoyed Paulina and Abe today. Will wonders never cease?
There isn't a way on Earth I could care less about Ciara and Ben. Ben is never going to happen for me because he's a SERIAL KILLER! Lawd. Thank goodness Bo isn't around for this mess. I'd hate watching him having to prop a serial killer too.

I would think so too - I mean Liam is a character who never makes things happen, every storyline happens to him. He's completely reactive to every single thing. I find the character very tiresome and I will continue to not understand how this is supposed to be a leading male character. I mean yes so far Finn is boring. That's fair. But I don't care. He isn't Liam and I don't (currently) have to watch another story involving Hope and Steffy fighting over that waffle.
I also don't care one bit about Eric's so-called pain over Quinn's cheating. Now in real life I find cheating gross but on a soap? Whatever. It's a main driver of many a story. None of this was a surprise to Eric - he knows who Quinn is! Besides, it's not as though he's ever been a model husband, so give me a break. I know Quinn liked the prestige of being a Forrester (I don't understand why though - she has spent time with these people and classy they ain't) but it isn't like she's broke or something. Wasn't she a pretty well established jewelry designer before she rolled into town?
I'd rather watch Quinn and Carter try to build something. RS seems to bring out the best acting wise in LSV - so let's go with that! Though Quinn bent on revenge against Brooke and Paris would be ok with me too. I couldn't care less about either of those characters. I know Quinn is pretty rotten and maybe insane but one of my favorite characters ever was Olivia Spencer on Guiding Light. She was a bit Quinn lite (cheating on every guy and doing bad things but she wasn't as bat shit crazy as Quinn).

I completely agree but since the folks in charge seem determined to keep both characters around for some unknown reason - then they probably need to give Shauna something to do. Frankly, I'd rather see Flo gone even more than Shauna!

Exactly. I'm in no way saying Quinn doesn't deserve whatever is coming her way - she does but I just hate the way the writers decided to insert Brooke into this mess at the last second. I mean honestly I would much rather have had Paris spill the tea. Of course that might just be because I cannot stand Brooke, but whatever. Plus I don't understand why Zoey wasn't around for the big reveal. I understand the actress is leaving but she's kind of important to the storyline.
I also don't understand why Donna was acting so odd. I mean Eric and Quinn have been married a while now. This ceremony wasn't a remarriage, it was just a vow renewal! Aside from that, I do think Donna and Eric were a pretty solid pairing. Maybe a revisit of that wouldn't be so bad.

I definitely do not want Finn to turn out to be evil or insane. Nope, Because that only leads to one place - Liam declaring how he knew Finn was a bad guy blah blah. Liam is just an awful character and I will never understand why the writers have made this waffle a leading man.

ALL so Thomas would get his shot at Hope? Vinny killed himself so Thomas could get with Hope. I mean this is really what the writers decided was the best storyline to go with?

And aside from that pile of nonsense we have Zoey. Why oh why did I let Quarter get me interested in this show again? Why?!? Unless something interesting happens with Carter/Quinn I am likely out again!

I do understand this point of view. I really do. But. But the moment a black woman was added to the cast, it was bound to come up. These housewives don't exactly come across as ... enlightened. I mean I was over the whole 'our gays' or 'my gays' thing years ago. I was also over Ramona's continued use of 'the help.' There are plenty of people out there who do not watch the news or chose to be unaware. So maybe this is a forum for some awareness. I don't think that's a bad thing for the housewives themselves or the viewers. Though I am sure Bravo is just here for controversy not actual awareness.

I think the actors still had plenty of chemistry. The biggest issue I had with V2.0 is that the writers didn't have the balls to really write a triangle. Hope left Bo and then Bo took up with Carly. Then Bo went back to Hope for reasons. At no point did we really have scenes of torn Bo or confused Bo and the writers never explored the history there. Plus, the entire town hating Carly was ridiculous.
