  1. I want Donny to make it to the end because his DR's are golden.

I'm such a nerd. First veto comp, I thought how much better it was when they could pick their own players because, even though it was a futile attempt in the long run, "No, I sealed your partner's fate" is and always will be one of my favorite moments in BB history. And I mean, that was season 6, and we're not on season 35 or whatever, and I'm still not over how much I love it. And then, when I saw what comp it was, I so wanted someone to spell "technotronic."

Hmpf. The tornado warning was in an entirely different county, so I don't know why my local news needed to interrupt the show for almost ten minutes at quarter to nine. The writing was on the wall from the beginning that Joey was going up though so apparently I didn't miss anything important.

Devin is...I just cannot figure that guy out. It's like whatever happened ten minutes before, he forgets. His astonishment of Joey's alliance just killed me, considering he went all rogue with the "Bomb Squad" about two days before.

Tonight was the first time I was amused by Frankie, when he was mocking Devin and Caleb's theory of Donny's SEAL past.

  2. He did sweat SO MUCH but damn Serge is such a good partner. His handholds looked so good to me.

Ricky really surprised me with how strong he is. She was shakier than he was when she was standing on her own than when he was holding her on his back.

Marcquet. Sigh. Love him. He is all limbs and they're all so pretty.

I liked the tall hip-hopper much more than Emilio. At first I was like "what? A hip hop routine to The Commodores?" but then it was choreographed so well to the beat it totally worked.

I have no idea who is going home.

  3. I like how Howard and Christy were nice bookends in red.

As soon as Alex said "Mr. Eko" I said "Lost" and then "I love you, even as Adebisi." Now THAT was a clue that should have had a picture.

FJ could have been written in Esperanto for all I understood it. I couldn't even figure out what they were asking. I knew states weren't it but had no idea what it could have been.

I noticed the blip with Matthew's Ruth question too so I can only guess they edited him out doing it wrong the first time. Which is weird, because he did it later and they kept both parts in.

  4. I thought one of the DD was very easy. Tonight but now I can't remember what it was, dangit.

I was really rooting for Shloka. I felt like FJ was either you knew it or you didn't, it's not something you could reason. I didn't know it; had no clue.

  5. Knowing the category was 1970's movies, as soon as I saw the name Mario Cuomo I said (out loud, in an empty room, because that's just how I roll) it could only be "The Godfather."

Did we find out who made a face when the FJ category was announced?

I don't know if Jill can help her voice or not or if she's still terrified but I still cannot stand listening to her. It makes me feel badly but I can't help it.

  6. I love the DH rule so much. It and I are the same age, heh.

I just hate all the machinations that have to go on during a close game and it's time for the pitcher to hit. The manager has to sacrifice good pitching for the possibility of a hit and I hate it.

I grew up a Mets fan and switched to the Yanks in my late teens/early twenties so it's not like I was always about the DH.

Personally I find inter-league play to be the WORST. The absolute worst. I want the World Series to be with teams that never met during the season.

Instant replay I love. It is not taking away from the time of the games and why would you not want to get it right?

  7. Catty - I don't know if she was terrified or what but Jill winning was the worst possible outcome for me. Her voice was absolute nails on a chalkboard.

Sorry to see you go Jennifer! I was offended on your behalf with some of Alex's remarks. They felt like digs.

  8. Damn it all to pieces. I didn't realize until Teej was getting ready to announce the winners how much I wanted Johnny and Nany to win. Nine minutes ugh.

I wish I knew the time difference between the guys.

Those noises Zach was making! I mean, I am totally sure he was in massive amounts of pain with that big body and that altitude. But it was also sweet, sweet justice for how much of a dick he was to Devyn.

At least Devyn didn't have a crying fit on the bikes. I give her total props for finishing. Four and a half hours is a long ass time to do something so shitty.

  9. One thing I didn't follow was the problem with "One Love's" group performance. So Ryan choreographed something, but then Serena changed everything, and what they did was too difficult for the four of them? I mean, I didn't see much ballroom in their performance and also had to agree with Tara's "hot mess" assessment.

And they went to commercial showing that one guy falling on the other guy's face, but did they ever show it again when they came back from break?

  10. I love Marcquet so much and was sweating bullets because they took so damn long to show he was through.

Emilio you seem nice enough but if you didn't break your nose I wouldn't have had a season of Aaron so I'm not sorry you had to try again.

Rudy can suck it. First, I would have so much rather have Eric in the top 20 because he was adorable and seemed so sweet and second, Rudy looks too much like Jordan from The Challenge and it makes me residually hate him because Jordan is such a dink.

  11. Noooooo not my CT.

I mean, between Johnny Johnny and Zach, I cannot even choose. Fuck 'em all.

Laurel has no humility. Not to be all catty bitch about it but she must have a terrible time making and keeping friends. And THEN, she alienates the ones she has!

Too bad so sad for Theresa and Devyn may not be the hardiest competitor but the fact that Devyn made it and Theresa did not makes me laugh and laugh.

However, the worst possible first partner for Devyn was Zach.

Oh and also, I hated that stupid beanie and beard on CT but the glasses were super sexy, but I am glad to see him looking like his fine Chris self in a pic he tweeted that looks pretty recent when he took over the MTV Twitter page tonight.

  12. So not only did Kershaw fan 15 of 28 to get the no-hitter, it was called by Vin Scully. Can't get more special than that.

  13. Paige was manic on the button tonight. I was pulling for you the entire way Andrea!

I thought FJ was wicked easy...until I couldn't remember the damn hunchbacks name. I wonder if they would have accepted "The Hunchback of Notre Dame?"

If nothing else, I impressed my 16 year old by knowing Shintoism. I have to take it where I can get it with that boy.

  14. This article has the CBS NFL play calling lineup in it with some commentary.

I did not know Marv was not calling NFL games anymore. I'm also surprised that Greg Gumbel is third in the list. Here's the list by itself:

The entire CBS roster looks as followed:

    No. 1: Jim Nantz/Phil Simms//Tracy Wolfson

    No. 2: Ian Eagle/Dan Fouts

    No. 3: Greg Gumbel/Trent Green

    No. 4: Kevin Harlan/Rich Gannon

    No. 5: Spero Dedes/Solomon Wilcots

    No. 6: Andrew Catalon/Steve Beuerlein/Steve Tasker

CBS said play-by-play announcers Brian Anderson and Tom McCarthy will be used as well as analysts Adam Archuleta and Chris Simms during busy weeks.

Big Blue fan here, 28 years this coming season.

  15. Andrea I was rooting so hard for you. Katie was pulling away in the first round and I got nervous. You are definitely not a sourpuss.

I love how Alex was all "duh" about Jerry Brown. I don't know where the boy and Katie are from but I know I heard that Andrea is from South Carolina. The governor of California is not going to be at the front of their minds, Alex.

Knowing what people have said about the cartoon "Hong Kong Phooey," I was quite surprised to see that wordplay as categories.

  16. Which episodes has Alex Graves directed before?

The budget on this episode alone must have been fantastic with the dragons and Summer and fighting skeletons and that beautiful ship Arya zoomed away on.

So Arya is on her way to Braavos? I interpreted that scene as her showing the iron coin and the shipmaster deciding to take her north as she asked. I missed the subtext.

  17. I'm so done with Bran's storyline. I don't really enjoy the more mystical elements of the story.

That was the part of the episode I wanted to hurry up already. I cannot fathom where that story is going nor do I care.

It's just not right that The Mountain lives while The Hound (slowly, agonizingly) dies. Rory McCann is just too charming for his own good.

Stab is brought his entire family? How long is he planning to stay? Until Winter?

Tyrion burned that mother DOWN and Varys said "welp, gotta run!" The music score between "The Rains of Castamere" and the opening theme towards the end of the ep was so well done.

I, too, sobbed when Dany chained up her babies and they cried out for her. They trusted you, dammit! Damn Drogon. He's more like his father than she thought.

I wondered why Rose Leslie was in the credits and now I know. Not bad for a day's work.
