  1. I haven't watched this show in forever, but was curious to see how it was treating Elizabeth. Badly - of course. Why, for one, is she living in a Georgian-style palace??
  2. Why did they need to use Lord and his whatever machine? Did they forget that the Martian Manhunter is a telepath?
  3. There is nothing groundbreaking about Ashley's collection, other than she foisted them on plus-size models. The looks were pure MOB, unflattering and poorly constructed. That last look??? It made the model look like a flower-strewn blimp. Also bear in mind that plus-size models are approximately a size 12. Put those clothes on a true plus-size woman and I can't imagine anyone who would want to wear them.
  4. I am SO tired of the great, unkillable Ward. This show has plenty of other things going on without the resurrection of Hydra and its eeeeevil leader.
  5. Count me in as someone NOT happy about the return of Ward. I find his character so tedious and one-note. They really should have killed him off last season so that the show can move on.
  6. Coco was the absolutely most useless character on the show. Other than her horrible taste in men, what did we really know about her? And Zach??? What a waste of oxygen. There really are not enough ways for this little turd to die. And no, I don't feel badly for wishing that on this kid. After witnessing monster mommy kill the one woman who has been kind and cared for him, he hugs monster mommy and then skips off with her??? What exactly does he imagine is going to happen at the Master's playhouse. Horrible character and lazy, lazy writing.
  7. Candice = Gretchen 2.0. And as she actually lives in San Francisco, she should have known better than to try to sell the ridiculous story that their collection was for an SF woman.
  8. Asaf is not even that great in his own style. Why they kept him is a mystery. I can't imagine that any of the choreographers like working with him. I guess I'm in the minority in HATING the robot routine. Gimmicky and twee. The prolonged mugging just made it nauseating.
  9. When the Elders are revealed, one of them better have VERY long VERY living red hair. Or I'll be VERY disappointed.
  10. They need to fast forward this twit to Scotland already, where Mary's innate stupidity can really shine and Elizabeth can really start having fun with her.
  11. And Patrick's mom bascially smacked him down during their big talk. I think Patrick was projecting all of his own prejudices onto his family as a convenient way of dealing with them. From what we saw, Patrick's family were hardly monsters, certainly not the way he made them out to be and definitley not in the same context of Doris' alchoholic mother
  12. Patrick is clearly trying to relive his high school days all over again through Kevin. It's very…sad. As I recall, Patrick stood there slack-jawed and said not a word while Agustin insulted Richie. Then Patrick made up some lame story about Richie opening his own shop, so that HE would look better to his boss. And maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I would call running off to have a late-night booty call with his partnered boss as treating someone badly. Plus, has Patrick once spared a thought about Jon? Showed any remorse or guilt? No. I won't go far as to say that Patrick is a not a good person, but I will say that he is not a good grownup.
  13. Patrick insisting on wearing the dog sweater to work sums up the character perfectly - immature, reckless, needy, self-involved. I'm really curious about how this character is written, because it is very very difficult to root for him. And I pray that Richie is NOT pining for Patrick, but there doesn't seem much worth pining over.
  14. Having recently lost a parent, I thought that Weedman's performance was incredible in capturing the swirl of emotions as you try to process what has just happened. Give her an Emmy. One thing this show does extraordinarily well is capturing the small, intimate moments that happen between friends. One thing this show does not do well is in character development. For me, Patrick has taken a Carrie Bradshaw trajectory of epic proportions, becoming increasingly vapid, obnoxious, and self-centered. He's not growing up. At all. Tagging along on a funeral trip because you don't want to deal with your own shit? Pathetic. Becoming a crying mess at said funeral to become the focus of attention? Trying to constantly one-up someone on a sad childhood? Just gross. I'n happy that Kevin can finally be with him. They are 2 of a kind.
