  1. Meanwhile, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers now have their own house-flipping show on CNBC, Cash Pad: https://www.cnbc.com/cash-pad/
  2. Saw one ep so far. The deal proposed is not one I'd take: Jordan and JoJo renovate your spare building (in this case, a shipping container) into an Airbnb property, pay for the improvements and all maintenance themselves, and guarantee you $700/month for the next four years, but they keep all revenues above and beyond that until the agreement expires. Two issues with the arrangement: 1) They're guaranteeing you basically two or three days' rent per month. Assuming it's even rented half the time, they're keeping 90% or more for themselves. I realize the owner is assuming no financial risk, but it's still weighted VERY heavily in JoJo and Jordan's favor. 2) Presumably, J & J will be in charge of renting it out, which means you have zero control over who's gaining access to your property, your driveway and yard, etc.

  4. Just watched the McLank's episode. What a trainwreck family. The mom uses her kids as unpaid indentured servants, then wonders why they're not giving 100%. The daughter was acting EXACTLY like a child who doesn't want to do something and is making themselves as useless as possible so they'll be told/allowed to leave. Brown gravy from a packet on top of a slice of lunch meat on top of a slice of white bread? Yuck. No wonder they were going broke. On the other hand, the oldest son seemed to know how to delegate and run a kitchen. With any luck, he'll be able to learn and grow better over time.
  5. I honestly believe Christie has decided she's happy with a fifth or sixth-place finish, because that's all her current game is good for (i.e. sticking around as the ass end of the Six-Shooters and being booted right before or after Tommy -- the Jackholes will keep their GFs around as long as they can). If she's trying to actually WIN, she's doing terrible at it, as she's squandering weekly chances to get rid of either Jackhole.
  6. Christie says she hates Jackson (justifiably, since he orders her around and will obviously chop her and Tommy's heads off once it's down to just the Six-Shooters). Tonight was ANOTHER chance for her to pull a palace coup and get his ass out. Just go to Nick and offer him the Diamond Power in exchange for his promise to put Jackson up. Christie, Tommy, Cliff, Nicole, Jessica and Nick vote Jackson out. AnalLice, Little Bo Creep (aka Jack), Holly and Kat vote for Sam. Boom! Jackson's out. Does she do this? No, she instead opts to take orders from Jackson the Jackass AGAIN (who couldn't resist the opportunity to swing his dick around and intimidate Christie unnecessarily), thus ensuring she and Tommy will be picked off one by one when their turn comes. (BTW: I floated my scenario to Mrs. RaiderDuck last night. Her response: "Honey, that's a nice plan, but it would require these idiots to actually THINK and STRATEGIZE when they'd rather be led to the slaughter".)
  7. We were spoiled, but accidentally so. Thursday night, the show ended right after the comp started (we live in Arizona, so Chenbot signed off at 8PM MST). We kicked over to the live stream and caught the last 10 minutes with Holly and AnalLice trying to outlast each other.
  8. When they spent literally half the episode showing the HOH challenge, it was a clear signal that nothing else interesting happened before the nominations. Hence the showing off of the new HOH suite and letters from home, etc.
  9. Thanks! How many nicknames can one dude have?
  10. Thank you! Next question: Which one is "Son?"
  11. I keep reading oblique references to pee in this thread and am not sure what happened. Somebody please fill the rest of us in. If you don't, urine trouble!
  12. I hope Sam goes this week. His mindless SHOUTING of RANDOM PARTS of his SENTENCES just bugs beyond measure. The show is considerably more pleasant without Bella's whiny misery. Kat, you lovable bubblehead: the flag appears to be waving in that famous moon video because it was stretched out on a thin wire frame that was flexing as it was being positioned. Believe it or not, WE ACTUALLY DID GO TO THE MOON. Mrs. RaiderDuck wondered if a Flat Earth discussion was going to be next. On a shallower note, Jessica's swimsuit in that scene did her no favors at all. You'd think a professional model would select more flattering attire.
  13. Sunshine counted Analyse and "Sis" as separate people. I assumed they meant Holly.
  14. IMHO, if Bella was the whitest girl on the planet, she'd still be the next to go. Nobody can stand her except Nick (and in the Live Cam segment we watched, even he didn't seem overly bothered at the thought of her leaving).
  15. Is Nicole going to vote for Bella to remain after the rotten way Bella treated her a week ago?
  16. Jack would have hated Christie for forcing his girlfriend home and reducing their alliance by one. Jackson would have hated Christie for not giving him the power and reducing their alliance by one. Notice how he was blatantly ordering her around? He would have been furious at her for not doing as she was told, given the outcome. Both Jack and Jackson would have been extremely condescending towards Christie in a "See what happens when you dumb broads don't do what we tell you?" tone that likely would have enraged her. Yes, Christie would have been furious with Cliff also, but what choice would she have but to throw her lot in with him anyway? That's what Mrs. RaiderDuck was saying last night. The only problem is that Christie stuck her neck out with Cliff by not using her power. If he'd turned around and backstabbed her to that degree, he could forget about anyone in the house trusting him again; before she left, she'd be sure to tell EVERYONE ad nauseum how she trusted mean ol' Cliff and this is what she got.
  17. I would have put Analyse on the block next to Jack. It would have immediately reduced the Six Shooters' voting power by one AND driven a big emotional wedge between Christie and the Jackholes.
  18. Oh, Cliff. I guess they really do grow them big AND dumb in Texas. At least we'll see one loathsome person go home tomorrow night. As for Christie: Strong women (and men, for that matter) do not burst into tears every time they're asked to make a decision. And don't whine about everyone expecting you to use your power when you went out of your way to tell everyone about it.
  19. Not a fan of the changes they've made. I preferred two five-card games with a three-card game as the tiebreaker. One big game makes it more likely one contestant will go on a big run and wrap it up quickly.
  20. And we got another two (!) episodes this last Saturday. I loved the first episode. A southside Chicago icon was just in way over her head. It was nice having an owner who gratefully accepts Robert's help. Also, Robert had no major criticisms of the food itself or the cleanliness of the kitchen. The only back-of-the-house criticism he leveled was about that terrible downstairs walk-in cooler (which Josephine probably wasn't physically able to get to, and thus had no idea of its condition). The second episode was the debut of the new continuation series Restaurant: Impossible: Revisited. It was interesting seeing the Dodge City owners looking at eight-year-old footage and saying what they thought all these years on. Also, here's a new interview where Robert talks about the show and throws a little more shade on Gordon Ramsay (without specifically naming him). Money quote: https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2019/07/restaurant-impossible-revisited-robert-irvine-interview/ He also talks about why the "Ambush" concept was abandoned for the series reboot: apparently, they couldn't always both "ambush" the restaurant owners AND get the building permits for the renovations they wanted to do.
  21. The problem is that the game is already shrinking and the Jacks want to pick off those outside the alliance one by one. Christie is safe for NOW with them, but they're not picking her to stay over their girlfriends, so she's looking at a Top 5 or 6 finish at best.
  22. I'm not sure Christie will do that. She has to see that she's #5 at best in the six-shooter alliance (behind the two Jacks and whoever they're boinking) and if one of the two Jacks leaves, that alliance is done. If she wins Veto and refuses to use it, or one of Cliff's allies wins and refuses to use it, that could be her, Tommy, Cliff, Jessica, and Nicole in a new alliance.
  23. If you have a Roku or Xbox One or other streaming device that can get CBS All Access, they have all the episodes and the Live Feeds as well. It's $10 a month, but discounted subscriptions can be found online.
  24. Methinks he's hoping to flip Christie at some point; putting her up would scotch that for good. Speaking of Christie, she's suddenly realizing that if she doesn't use her power and just lets one of the two Jacks walk the plank, the repercussions for her are going to be non-existent (the rest of the house will be glad to see one of them gone, and the remaining Jack isn't going hate her for helping get rid of his strongest competition). Jack's power is the ability to rejigger the Veto Comp teams after they've been picked. El Lame-o, if you ask me. Gotta love Jack and Jackschi both threatening Cliff in their DR segments. Uh, what exactly are you going to do? Try to banish him AGAIN?
  25. My wife once told me that by the time you're in your 40s, you really shouldn't have the same hairstyle and clothes you did in high school. NotPegBundy from last night was Exhibit A.
