I just don't see that. I've seen the other girls be upset with Farrah talking about herself as the star of the show and more important than the other girls. I've seen the other girls wildly upset at how Farrah treats the members of the crew. That's been going on for a while now. I think Maci was the only one bothered that Farrah did porn. I think she still is the only one bothered by it. When the other two bring it up, it's because they know it bothers Farrah so they are going after where she is sensitive. It's the same way the masses on social media and of course here dig at Cate first and foremost on her looks and her weight...because it's the dig that always works. I think this time it was a ticking time bomb with Simon calling Matt a pedophile. Amber came charging out when Farrah said basically, "well sorry Matt does look like a pedophile." It was gonna happen no matter what Maci did or did not do. Did she enjoy watching the Farrah drama even if it meant her friend Amber was engaging in damaging behavior....I am sure she did, but I don't think she's the mastermind of anything.

Not the same at all to me. If someone punched me, I'd blame them and not their friend. I also think that maybe Amber and Cate are responsible for their own actions. Maci isn't all that mighty and powerful. She can be a bitch as every single member of the cast can be, but she's not the one who gets blamed when Amber decided to revert back to her violent ways with her boyfriend in step. I'm gonna just agree to disagree and get off this hamster wheel.

I'd never respect someone more if they physically attacked another person unless it is in self defense and they have no choice. Not how I was raised, but YMMV of course. I get that it's in the minority here and maybe everywhere, but I'm okay with standing alone on not thinking it's cool to want to and then going ahead and beating someone's ass because you don't like them or they do you wrong. I respect anyone who knows that putting their hands on another person is wrong. All the characters in Teen Mom are absolutely pieces of work, but at least a few of them know know not to go to that level.

I think Cate and Amber are grown ass women and responsible for their own words and behavior. I won't blame Maci for what they do. I don't think any of the Teen Moms are peaches, but I respect that Maci thinks putting her hands on someone is just not an option. Good to see there is a line that just isn't even an option for her. For most of the cast, can't say that.

Good for her. More should be like Maci.

Scientology: Miscavige and Sons

I do think a lot of churches who get tax exempt status have some pretty wacky rules and rituals....so in that respect, I am not sure Scientology is all that different. -
S01.E03: The Bridge
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I found this episode the most interesting yet.....talking about the actual courses in the Bridge and how it is supposed to bring you to freedom and enlightenment. Of course...it's all about making money, but the constant lifelong learner aka geek is really curious about these courses. If it wasn't a crazy cult, I might even like to take them. But crazy cult. -
Meh. The fat dig was thrown in her direction first. Neither is cool, but whatevs.

Also checked out the site's FB page. Maci just announced a new clothing line launch on 12/9 and is in almost all the pics and videos about the new line.

Just checked out the website....looks like I can still order the overpriced shirts to my hearts content.

I agree. Her fame helps the business and gets orders in her inbox, but I've still seem her working pretty hard to make sure it is successful. She also does a heck of a lot of work with the nuts and bolts of the business. She doesn't run a business in name only.

When people tweet at celebs or public figures....that person rarely ever sees the tweet. It gets lost in the many many sea of messages. It's more about the people you follow seeing your response. When I tweet to Donald Trump about his what his teeny tiny hands tweet, I know he doesn't see it or care, but some friends on the tweeter do...and we chat about it, etc. So, doubtful Cate saw or cared about it. Sorry, not sorry.

Except in Farrah's delusional mind....no one is jealous of Farrah. Gross.

I'll agree to disagree that this is all about Farrah being in porn. I think this is about Farrah's holier than thou attitude and treating other people like absolute shit. They've seen how Farrah absolutely loses it whenever Debra brings up the porn and they know it is a button they can push to remind Farrah that while she is talking about how much better she is than everyone else on the planet....that she has shit too and wow...it stinks just like everyone else.

Farrah always dictates rules different from everyone else.....but MTV gives it to her because they know she is a moth to a flame when it comes to drama. MTV knows more people will watch if she and her attitude are there and that if her conditions aren't met, she won't come.....so she gets her special list of demands met. Meh. It is what it is.

S01.E02: Fair Game
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
While that may be true....I'll take Leah's genuine answer about Travolta and his feelings about Scientology. -
No one besides Farrah likes her own personality. Well...and those leeching off her for something. She's a narcissistic psychopath.

S01.E02: Fair Game
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I know. Paying to be audited is so ridiculous. It's just another power move from the church. It doesn't make sense to an outsider, but it's amazing the power of indoctrination. There is also such a powerful hold on a belief. I remember being mystified when I was in grad school and we were going over how people will change absolute facts in order to have it meld and match their strongly held beliefs....and then of course seeing it hold true time and time again in my practice. Beliefs are something that it takes so much time and work to challenge and change. When I watched Leah on Watch What Happens Live the other week...someone asked her if she thought John Travolta would leave Scientology if he knew all that she knew. Leah got real serious and said that she thinks John is one of the nicest, kindest people she has ever met...and that he truly believes in Scientology. -
S01.E02: Fair Game
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I don't get any bad vibes from Rinder. To me he behaves like a classic whistleblower. I think that he is probably just better equipped to handle what he knew was coming for him when he left....because he truly knew. He basically has a "come at me" attitude and I respect it. And look at him now....with a much better life. That probably has Scientology miffed more than anything else....because they couldn't destroy him, no matter how hard they tried.- 104 replies

S01.E02: Fair Game
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
Would you though? If you had no education, no place to live, no money and no prospects for a job outside of what the Church could provide for you??? I think that is one of the main reasons that Scientology gets away with so much because they make their members completely dependent on them unless they happen to be those independently wealthy celebs, etc.- 104 replies

S01.E02: Fair Game
shelley1234 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
Listening to the audio of the Scientology nutjobs (including Rinder's family) screaming at him was staggering..... I think Leah and all the other high ranking defectors of Scientology should make a mass effort to Fair Game all those currently in charge in Scientology....you know...goose...gander. It would entertain the crap out of me.- 104 replies

Yeah. Amber should have seen the warning signs then about Matt, but she didn't. I think Amber thinks that she just has to take whatever she can get....and it's gonna end badly. The best that could happen is he just swindles her for all her money....the worst is much worse. He's really emotionally controlling at times too. Simon has tweeted a few times over to Amber that Matt beats her....and while he is a super duper social media troll, he usually pokes at something that is at least bit true. I didn't read that article, thanks for sharing. Michael is a good guy who I think wants the best for all the girls in the show. It's such a shame that Matt even thought to raise a hand to him. Punch Simon? Fine. Well, not fine, but at least I understand it. What the F did Michael ever really do to you? It didn't matter to Matt....he just came out swinging in defense of his cash cow.
-
Yep, she's not....so agree again there. Totally different ball of wax. Matt is scum. He's a ticking time bomb that Amber is too stupid to see. I was actually surprised that he wasn't arrested or faced any consequences for what he did. I think it's probably because it was Michael who seems to always just wanna smooth everything over. Given how injured he got, he should go back now and file...or at least sue him civilly for damages.
-
Well we seemed to be going back and forth about if Amber could be charged. Sure, she could be, but it would never happen. And I said above, if it was me I would have had Matt arrested. Glad we are all on the same page.

Well above there was a pretty long defense for Farrah and how she is so much better than the other girls which got my vomit response to begin with. I know how the laws are written. I also know what is usually something that a DA will look to prosecute and ones they usually will give you a smirk and a laugh.
