  1. Holy crow but Abigail actually showed a smidgen of self-awareness when she said that Sami knows the real her and blames her for the affair with EJ. She also mentioned Carrie and how both Sami and Carrie can talk about what an "awesome" person she is. It seemed like Abby finally realizes that Sami doesn't like her very much and it's not sitting well with her. Apparently, Abs can be as contemptuous of Sami as she wants--but only behind her back, natch--but no one is allowed to dislike Miss Abigail. How entitled can you get? The Brady/Theresa story is kind of crazy but JL is nailing the genuine fear and sickness of her actions. KM, my dear, take notes.
  2. Sonny is one of my favorite characters but he is really making me sick with all of the Abby worship, like he can't conceive of her doing anything even remotely wrong. Talk about blinders to the extreme and yes, there has never been any chemistry in any Abby/Sonny scene--I only know they're related because everyone tells me so. Sonny needs to be let in on the real truth about Abigail. Maybe once he sees the picture he'll know it's true?
  3. Ah yes, the Horton spin machine is in full effect! I love how both Jen and JJ are ready to blame Sami for the shame that is about to befall their family--how dare she come to their house and expose Abigail as the liar she is? Who does she think she is? And Jen threw Sami out? Oh Jen tried to sound strong and authoritive but if Sami had decided to stay, there wasn't a thing either on of those two twits could have done about it. Sami was completely unimpressed by Jen's "strong voice"--even though MR did great reaction work to AS's anger. And I do understand WIll's point--he's worried about his mom taking her revenge on EJ and Abby too far. He's a good son worried about his mom-I would expect no less.
  4. I decided to watch this show for kicks and I'm actually enjoying the soapiness of it but I'm not quite getting all of the Cater love she's getting from the town and fellow students. Take away her being a kidnapped victim, and there really isn't anything interesting about her. I mean, I can understand why Carter would have a difficult time dealing with her family and all of the new rules that are being placed on her, but I need to see more emotional growth from her in order to start to root for her. I'd like to see her get to know her sister and brother better, so that she can see just how restrictive their lives are because of what happened to her. I would love to see an episode where Carter is the one worrying and freaking out over her siblings so we can see her show compassion and understanding for someone other than her "mother" or herself. I also want her Carter to slowly start to realize just what a disservice her kidnapper, I mean "mom" did to her by raising her without any respect for other people or consequences for her actions. I hope the show has Carter finally realizing that her bio parents are the ones who truly love her and want what is best for her while Lori just wanted a best friend. I don't think affairs are normal at all and they are always inappropriate and damage the entrie family. It would be rather sick if Gabe knows about his dad and Carter's mom--that would make his interest in Carter even grosser. I look forward to what the rest of the season brings.
  5. Once again AS owned her scenes and I loved every minute of the Abby smackdown, especially when Sami put Jenn in her place when she tried to throw Sami out. Jenn's all about the truth, except for when it involves the horrible behavior of her kids. I couldn't get over how weak Abby was--what happened to all of her bravado when she's talking to EJ about Sami? She clearly thinks she's better than Sami--except for when Sami's standing right in front of her, ready to rip her throat out. I was kind of hoping Sami would throw some punches, but her throwing all of Abby's selfish actions back at her while Abby stood mute was fabulous. And KM's reactions were also rather weak--this is who the show wants to be their new star? I don't think so.
  6. I truly loved Sami's scenes today--she was on fire with the EJ tell off and I can not WAIT for Abigail and Jenn's reactions to the picture reveal. And how gorgeous were all of Sami's comments towards Abby, especially the one directed towards how proud Jack would be of her--WOO HOO!! And I think I pinpointed why I have such antipathy for Abigail--the scenes where Sami and Jenn were complimenting her on her dress and how "beautiful" she is, Abby just shrugged and said Thank you without a trace of modesty or self-deprecation, like she knows it's true, so why bother denying it? Obnoxious much? Besides, it isn't true--MEOW! I like Theresa and I admire her plans to snag a rich man, but any lawyer worth his sald can simply claim that Brady wasn't able to give consent to marry because of how inebriated he was and the marriage would be annulled. I can understand why Paige is so freaked out by JJ's actions. It's one thing to dislike someone and not want to hang out with them and it's a whole other to try and get them sent to prison. I don't think she's quite realized just how twisted the Theresa/JJ relationship was and I'm actually proud of Eve for looking out for her daughter and littlse sister--even if it is over the top and I'm also trying to see this from Paige's perspective.
  7. There was some real subtle acting going on in the scene between Eric and Theresa on Monday's show. When Theresa was talking about people not being able to change who they are--even if they really want to, their true personality will always come out--was gorgeous to see. We saw that Theresa was actually talking about herself and there was such a doomed quality to her voice and from Eric's expression, he realized it too.
  8. I hope Endeavor apologizes to his awesome neighbor but I don't think he will. He may be too embarrassed and think she won't listen to him. Thursday's daughter is starting to annoy and that's a shame because Thursday himself is made of awesome. The actor Roger Allam reminds me of Michael Caine and Michael Gambon--maybe he's their love child? :) The mystery was quite good and I liked how all of the cops were rattled by the child's death--I always like when Jenks is shown to be more thoughtful and kind than he lets on.
  9. For me, when the characters start going on about how beautiful and interesting Abigail is, it falls flat because KM doesn't have any natural charisma or likeability. Unlike AS, AZ, JL or KdP, there isn't any "it" factor that makes the actress or character stand out. When MR was younger, Jennifer was adorable and truly rootable, but that's all but disappeared and I can't figure out why. On Friday's show, I was stunned by how bad both Jennifer and Abigail looked--they both looked old and completely inappropriate for a day at the lake--what the heck was wardrobe thinking? I know that I'm getting a kick out of Eve and Theresa giggling together at Jenn's misfortunes--the actresses are vert believable as sisters and I really hope they're able to become a family unit, with or without their mutual Horton hatred.
  10. I know that I'm loving everything that AS is doing with this storyline. I like the little pep talks she's giving to herself, I'm liking all of the double-edged answers she keeps giving to Abby and EJ both. All in all, I think AS has been wonderful while KM's decidedly one note. I just realized that JJ and Paige are graduating from high school in July. I know that the crappy winter weather here in the Northeast forced the kids to attend school well into late June, but graduation day right before the 4th of July? YIKES!! Wasn't it a treat to see three generation of smug Horton women right in the square today? Maggie, Jen and Abby--what an absolute treat. Eve can definetely hold her own against all three.
  11. I know that for me, I'm mentioning KM in discussions because I'm confused by her character's reactions to the storyline she is in and I don't think that's a compliment to the actress. And I wish I knew why she's getting such prominence with all of her interviews--KM is certainly not living up to any hype that Days might be giving her. AS is doing quite well and I remember other storylines where she was wonderful as well--the scenes where Will was shot, and truly any scene involving her children have always been golden, so it doesn't surprise that when she's given something meaty to do, AS is fully capable of bringing it.
  12. and . Considering that AS has been bringing it for the culmination of this storyline, I think it's going to be awesome.
  13. I was thinking the same thing! Sonny, I love you but you really need to stop propping Abby and talking about how beautiful she is and how she's out-shinning Sami. That's actually extremely rude to the bride and besides that, it's untrue. I can't believe that the dress she was wearing was her actual outfit for the wedding--I kept waiting for Abby to change out of that odd plaid dress and into something cute. It is rather ridiculous the amount of people who claim Abby is beautiful. Has anyone actually ever looked at Theresa? The woman is twenty times more gorgeous than Abby and yet no one says word one
  14. This to infinity! This would have been a golden opportunity for KM to play how conflicted she is, that she feels guilty for hurting Sami and the kids but she still wants EJ. But that isn't what we're getting. KM is playing all of her scenes either like she's the wronged party or with a completely blank expression. Meanwhile, AS continues to dominate with her nuanced performance--she is genuinely in pain over EJ's cheating and she's relishing the revenge but at the same time, we can see the love she has for EJ and her kids. Well done indeed.
  15. Oh I know--the wedding looks horrendous and Abby was actually stressing out from all of the pressure? She really is a drama queen. And I'm not feeling the Ben/Ollie love--I don't think he's particularly good looking and he's so/so of an actor. I guess he's perfect for KM's Abby! I really hope that Eve and Theresa--I loved the little aside where she called her Jeannie--join forces to make Jennifer's life a living hell because no shrew deserves it more. And I loved Jennifer back in the day--the Cruise of Deception was one of Days' greatest story lines ever--and I was cheering for her and Jack to get together. I can't believe this is the same character from back then.
  16. I don't know about that, I'm sure this show could find a way. I'm truly enjoying watching Eve and Theresa interact--there's a realness to their arguing that feels like it's actual siblings who are going back and forth about an age old argument. More please! Sami's wedding dress may be strange but AS is truly delivering in all of her scenes. I believe her when she shows her anger at EJ's betrayal juxtaposed next to her love for him. Nicely played. And I can't help but feel that KM is out of her league during this tense scenes--she's very one note especially next to AS's multi-layered acting.
  17. I thought Jen Lilley was quite impressive today. The look of pain on her face when she had both Anne and then John telling her that she's an awful person was extremely well done. Contrast that to yesterday's episode where we were treated to KM's one note bid for EJ to reassure her for the one billionth time that she's not actually a bad person--KM is a very limited actress whereas JL is much more expressive. On the Eve/Jennifer argument, I liked that the writers at least got their facts straight regarding Eve's marriage to Jack and how that all fit in with Nick Correlli, but it is quite sad to hear two women in their late 40's still arguing over men. Shouldn't they have gotten past all of this pettiness and just concentrated on their kids? And I always thought that the blonde blue eyed Charlottle Ross and now KDP, couldn't have been the baby of the equally dark haired Shane Donovan and Gabrielle Pascal--Eve's mom should have been Shane's fist wife, Emma who was also blonde haired and blue eyed.
  18. My first post here--YEAH!! I remember watching the show when Eve and Jennifer were on and I don't remember them being in high school together and fighting over Frankie. Didn't Eve go to a private school at one point while she was trying to live down her prostitution job? She lived at the mansion with Shane and Kim? And when Jen was in hs she used to go out with Glenn but she liked Frankie and her rival was Sasha--anyone else remember this? And I have a theory why Eve is so against Theresa and Paige getting to know each other--I bet Theresa did something to endanger Paige when she was a baby, maybe Theresa used drugs in front of her and that's why Eve is so angry. I do think Theresa and Brady have potential as a couple and I'm truly looking forward to Eve and Theresa's scenes together, especially them reconciling. Theresa needs another person on her side and it should be her own sister. I also enjoyed Abby's being so shocked by Sami and Kate's food fight--she thinks she's in their league? I look forward to Sami's squashing Abby like a bug. And I loved Kate and Sami's fierce hug--Kate is a better mother to Sami than Marlena has ever been and that's the truth.
