Yes, but Second Movie Marty didn't stop First Movie Marty from being in the past. -
A Thread for All Seasons: OUaT Across All Realms

I noticed that, so I edited the post. Well they would disappear from existence - it's the same with if she were to stop her parents from meeting. That would have been paradox. They couldn't go back to the future because their future would no longer exist - it's like Back to the Future Part 2. Nice catch, though! They'd just disappear. Oh gosh open timelines have so many paradoxes and issues. Even the whole "disappear" thing as they've explained on the show and Back to the Future doesn't make sense. If you killed your mother in the past, then disappeared, how were you able to time travel and kill her in the first place if you were never born? I hope Once never does time travel again. -

They could have just gone to the moment right after they fell into EF and tell them where to go to get the wand and how to avoid areas that have people in them. I thought in the end the portal reopened, but I didn't think it was reverse-trip only. It was never stated to be, anyway. Emma could have gotten back to the present by thinking of it, as all portals work like Neal says. -

But it wouldn't be messed up if they had gone back to the future right before they went through the portal to warn themselves not to. Rumple could have fixed the timeline easily himself. He organized the original in the first place, anyway. Hook and Emma were really bad time travelers, so I'm surprised Rumple even trusted them to fix it themselves. He even called them out on their bad Marty McFly skills. "It's a miracle the timeline hasn't imploded already!" -

Yes, but instead of risking messing with the timeline even more by trying to "fix" it, they could have been waiting for Rumple to get the solution ready. -
Happily Ever After: Relationships Are Hard
KingOfHearts replied to CatMack's topic in Once Upon A Time
We don't know much about Marian or Robin as characters. Marian is just a plot device, and Robin is just a glorified plot device. Neither of them have been shown to have any personality whatsoever. I'd feel sorry for Regina's character if Robin is her endgame. The writers could have done sooo much better for her. If Robin goes with Marian, I hope Regina finds someone better - someone who will be honest, supportive in the right places, moral, and complimentary to her personality. I haven't seen Robin do any of that, really. He seems more like a desperate widower looking for a good time. The major difference between OQ and every other couple on the show is time. All the other couples have gone through trials, tribulation, time together, time apart, closeness and distance, happiness and torment. OQ has been together literally a week and they've been deemed a destined couple never to part. That just makes it feel so unreal and fake to me. Even Rumpbelle has had more sincerity before. -

Or they could have just reopened the time portal to stop themselves from messing with the timeline in the first place... -

Happily Ever After: Relationships Are Hard
KingOfHearts replied to CatMack's topic in Once Upon A Time
I was actually expecting them to get married at the end of the Missing Year before 3B even started. If they had, then Marian probably wouldn't have been such a big issue. I would buy Outlaw Queen much more if they had went with that approach, but they didn't. Right now OQ is dangerously close to a Regina/Graham situation, minus the heart control. It seems like a very physical relationship that Regina is taking advantage of. Almost all their scenes alone are super sensual and kissy-kissy. There's been no real groundwork for a healthy relationship outside of that. In fact, they've done the opposite - they're nearly hostile to each other. The only reason Regina even wants Robin is because of the tattoo and free pleasure. EF, No Tattoo: Enemies SB, Tattoo: Fated Lovers There's something wrong with that picture. -
Oh I agree. Everything Regina did in Kansas was so she could be on the pedestal as Hero of the Day. Charming: "Oh I really hope I win Hero of the Day this time! Going to save my newborn should do it." Emma: "Well I saved Hook from drowning!" Hook: "I was cannon fodder!" Regina: "Look everyone! I won!" Everyone: "Regina?! You're not even a hero!" Regina: "Today I am! Tomorrow I'll win Villain of the Day." Rumple: "We'll see about that."
-
I actually interpreted that as a segway from "you better hope to hell you didn't bring anything else back", and then it shows they did. Between now and a Zelena-reveal, Regina could accept what Emma did was right. If it is Zelena, then I don't expect it to be revealed until late 4A or 4B. I'm not dead set on the theory, but like Rumple says, "I never rule out anything." I have this sneaking suspicion Robin is going to choose Regina over Marian. With their romantic fireplace scene about "timing" and how Regina revealed to him about the tattoo, they seem to have the green light. This show also highlights moving on from your past. If Robin goes back to his old wife after accepting her loss, then that's sort of a backtrack for him. I don't necessarily agree with him choosing Regina, but this is Once. Regina not getting her happy ending is crazy talk.

Robin Hood: He Owes a Great Debt to Everyone
KingOfHearts replied to Camera One's topic in Once Upon A Time
I actually really liked this actor. He seemed more passionate and less bland. Nothing against Sean, but Robin's writing and role in Lacey was just more interesting. The first actor seemed younger, more agile and more heroic. I watched Quite a Common Fairy (at least I think it was), where we saw Sean as Robin for the first time. His character was actually much better in his first scene, and very much like his traditional face. When he was defending the castle he took from Rumple, he had a lot of fire in him that I don't really see today. Today he's more like a nice drinking buddy than a cunning thief filled with bravery. Regina really doesn't need a neutral nice guy, nor does the show for that matter. -
L is for Liam, Hook's brother who visited the island. L is also for Lost Boys!

I'm a bit conflicted on this one. On one side, Regina finally gives someone a second chance, and they don't even get to use it. So her "good deed" was cut short. Regina did the "hero" thing for sparing Zelena's life, and now she won't get any fruit for it. But on the other hand, she did threaten to kill Zelena if she misbehaved, so it's not like she valued Zelena's life or anything. Regina might just act like she's mad at Rumple so she can appear to be on the side of the angels. She loves that hero admiration! .

I is for Island... because it's an island! I'm so creative... ;)

I'm still in the "Marian-is-Zelena" conspiracy theory camp. Bottom line: something's off about Marian. Hopefully some fairybacks in S4 can clear up why her and Robin's circumstances are the way they are. Side note: I think it's funny they used an actress who was in only one scene and didn't even have a line to be a focal point for a major plot later on.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!
KingOfHearts replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
I actually really like the look they went with for Elsa. It's simpler than most Elsa costumes I've seen. There's far less makeup, etc. Georgina Haig fit the part well as far as appearances go, in my opinion. It's difficult to materialize the character because Elsa doesn't look like most people. Georgina basically looks like the human version of her, which is awesome. I'm glad they aren't trying *too* hard to match the cartoon - mostly in the makeup department.
