Trini July 11, 2019 Share July 11, 2019 Quote The adrenalin-fueled action thriller BULLETPROOF follows two undercover cops, Bishop (Noel Clarke) and Pike (Ashley Walters) as they chase down hardened criminals in London's East End. Despite their differences, Bishop and Pike work brilliantly together even when the chemistry between them looks set to explode. Full of grit and sometimes gloss, BULLETPROOF is stylish and funny with entertaining, riveting criminal cases in each episode. Airing in the US on CW, Wednesdays starting August 7. 1 Link to comment
AnimeMania July 25, 2019 Share July 25, 2019 I forgot this was a completely British TV Show, so they are only making 6 episodes a season. Link to comment
AnimeMania August 8, 2019 Share August 8, 2019 Was anything that they did even remotely recognizable as what police officers do. There were a lot of guns for being British police. Bish seemed to be flirting a lot with Nell, I thought he wanted her as a girlfriend, but it turns out he was already in a committed relationship. I am sure that all Jonesy had to do to steal Bish's girlfriend, Sophie was show Sophie some video of how Bish acts around Nell. 3 Link to comment

I guess this is supposed to be some special unit? I was also thinking 90% of what the partners did would make the evidence they gathered inadmissible in court, unless the UK has very different rules than the US. Link to comment
proserpina65 August 13, 2019 Share August 13, 2019 I watched the re-run of the first episode last night, and I have to say I was not impressed. I like the chemistry between Pike and Bishop, but the police procedural aspects seem far too wannabe American, and there's no way any of those cases would even get to court with the inadmissibility of the evidence. I'll give it a little longer, because I really like Noel Clarke and I did enjoy their relationship, but if it doesn't improve, I'm probably out. Real shame. Link to comment
OoogleEyes August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 Oh geeze, exactly what accent is Clarke Peters going for here? 2 Link to comment
proserpina65 August 22, 2019 Share August 22, 2019 I really wanted to like this show, because I love Noel Clarke and Clarke Peters, and a lot of the cast was quite good, but I got exactly 15 minutes into last night's episode (#3), decided life was too short, and changed the channel. 1 Link to comment
Trini September 12, 2019 Author Share September 12, 2019 I've watched the first 3 episodes, and while this isn't bad and I like the two leads, I think I'm just not into these 'action procedurals' as much as I used to be. I'll probably finish it, but it's not a priority. The subplot of Bish's girlfriend cheating on him with his co-worker was unnecessary. I'm not sure what Pike's father does? Anyone know how much they've trimmed to air this on CW? The episodes are about 42 minutes; but certain scenes seem clipped. 1 Link to comment
Trini September 29, 2019 Author Share September 29, 2019 Finally finished this; so, *spoilers* Thought it was kinda cliché that they had Ronnie's father be connected to the Big Conspiracy. I felt things kinda fell apart in episode 5. Wow, so they just really killed off Nell for Bishop's manpain. So unnecessary when they barely have that many female characters to begin with. 1 Link to comment
AnimeMania November 30, 2019 Share November 30, 2019 There will be a Season 2, at least in the UK, not sure if it will be Coming to America. If You Like 'Top Boy' You'll Love This Sky Series With Ashley Waters Link to comment
Trini March 19, 2020 Author Share March 19, 2020 https://tvline.com/2020/03/19/the-flash-season-6-mirror-iris-spoilers/ Quote Do you have any information on when Bulletproof Season 2 is going to show, or where I can find it? –Lucy Across the pond, as they say, the [UK] cop drama drops Season 2 this Friday. Stateside, Season 2 was likely to hit The CW not until this summer, just as its freshman run did last year, though in these coronavirus-altered times, scheduling is very much “up in the air,” I’m hearing. 1 Link to comment
Trini March 31, 2020 Author Share March 31, 2020 (edited) Premiere date for season 2: June 17. From CW's press release: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2020/03/31/the-cw-rolls-out-premiere-dates-for-summer-series-248511/20200331cw02/ Quote The second season of the action-packed drama series BULLETPROOF, starring Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters, will premiere on Wednesday, June 17 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Quote Adrenalin-fueled and packed with compelling characters, BULLETPROOF follows two undercover cops, Bishop (Noel Clarke, "Star Trek: Into Darkness") and Pike (Ashley Walters, "Top Boy") as they chase down hardened criminals in London's East End. But the series is more than high-octane action and thrilling cases. On the surface, Bishop and Pike have a lot in common - they are cool, smart and unapologetically street-wise and tough. But even more, they share a deep, fraternal relationship and are always there for each other. Season Two of BULLETPROOF sees Bishop and Pike dragged into their most dangerous case yet. What starts out as a routine sting morphs into something far more perilous as they are sucked into the dangerous world of undercover policing. Bishop and Pike find themselves in a tense, heart-stopping game of 'cat and mouse' with a notorious and elusive crime family, whose connections spread far beyond the borders of London and the UK. Their chase for justice will take them from the streets of London to Amsterdam and Cyprus, where they will have to risk everything - including their police badges - to succeed. BULLETPROOF is from Vertigo Films in association with Unstoppable Film and Television, with executive producers Allan Niblo ("Britannia," "Monsters"), Nick Love ("The Football Factory," "The Sweeney"), Noel Clarke, and Ashley Walters. BULLETPROOF was co-funded by Sky Studios, and NBCUniversal Global Distribution is handling international sales for the series. --- There's also more Season 2 info at the SKY (UK) website for the show: https://www.sky.com/watch/bulletproof Edited March 31, 2020 by Trini 1 Link to comment

Trini July 14, 2020 Author Share July 14, 2020 I guess I'm the only one kinda watching? Watched the first season 2 episode. I'm not curious enough to look up reasons, but I wonder why Lashana Lynch didn't return for Season 2? So far the main story seems more compelling than last season, but then they also seem to be leaning even more into the action elements - but that's what bored me before. Again, I'll probably finish this, but it's a low priority. Link to comment
Trini July 22, 2020 Author Share July 22, 2020 Finished Season 2, episode 3, and I'm not really liking what they are doing/where they're going with the story. I might just watch the last two episodes to see how they wrap things up. The two leads are great, though; I'm just not into this genre as much as I used to be. Link to comment
Trini August 2, 2020 Author Share August 2, 2020 Watched the last two. If you like action and all the tropes that go with "buddy cops catch *really* bad guys by breaking all the rules" then this is fine; I'm personally not so into it. Link to comment

Unfortunately for them, rest and relaxation will have to wait as they get swept up in the kidnapping of a young girl and they soon find themselves delving into the criminal underbelly of Cape Town. Trini May 21, 2021 Author Share May 21, 2021 No Season 4: 'Sky Cancels ‘Bulletproof’ ' Quote A spokesperson for the Comcast-backed pay-TV operator confirmed the decision: “Sky will not be proceeding with any further series of ‘Bulletproof.'” Meanwhile, production company Vertigo Films has also said it “will not make any future series of ‘Bulletproof.'” Variety understands season 4 of the show had already been commissioned and was in pre-production stages when news broke in The Guardian on April 29 about Clarke. Sky immediately took steps to halt any work on the program — and other work with Clarke — and has been holding internal discussions ever since about what’s next for the show. Link to comment
