starri May 26, 2021 Share May 26, 2021 Have they said when the bulk of the story is going to be set? The recent spectacular audio drama chose (wisely, IMO) to keep Morpheus' escape contemporaneous to the comics publication, which allowed his capture to be tied in to the real-world epidemic of sleeping sickness that happened around the same time as the 1918 flu. But for Rose Walker to make sense, Unity Kincaid would have had to have fallen asleep in the 60s at the absolute earliest. And that's before you realize that Rose wouldn't need to wait around in Florida for private detectives to find her brother if she had Facebook. Link to comment

I haven't gotten through the Rose Walker episodes yet, but I think that one can fanwank things by having Unity be a great-grandma to her rather than grandma, or to have Unity be particularly long-lived thanks to sleeping sickness, money, Desire's machinations, etc. I suppose modern life might mean that it would be easy/easier to find someone in foster care through online records, but again, it could be that someone is making more particular efforts to hide him than in the original. 1 Link to comment

bmoore4026 August 20, 2022 Share August 20, 2022 (edited) I love this show and I loved the special episode they just leased of "Dream of a thousand cats" and "Calliope". I hope they do an hour long versions of "A Midsummer's Nights Dream" and "Ramadan" I doubt they'll be able to do the story about Element Girl, will they, because Warner Brothers are sticklers about the DC Superheroes, even ones they have no plans on using. That's a shame because it's a superhero story about someone who doesn't want to be superpowered anymore. Dream said that his failure to kill a previous vortex destroyed an entire universe. That would have included the Endless with it, wouldn't it? So another universe was created and the Endless came back but did they still remember the old universe? Oh, and when Dream made his threat against Desire, he asks if they are strong enough to go up against Death or Destiny? I always wanted to know how Dream, Death, or Destiny could do to take down Desire. Edited August 20, 2022 by bmoore4026 1 Link to comment
