ElectricBoogaloo May 6, 2019 Share May 6, 2019 I highly recommend the podcast. It’s hilarious (mostly because his dad’s books are so awful!). 2 Link to comment
Gothish520 May 22, 2019 Share May 22, 2019 The special starts out a bit slick, but I was cracking up in short order. Good lord, Dad Morton/Flinstone's writing is...bad. So, so bad! I will have to check out the podcasts. 1 Link to comment

Just make sure that you're in a place where it's okay to start laughing loudly (aka not the library). I may have let out some unexpectedly loud cackles in the past. 1 Link to comment
Pj3422 May 23, 2019 Share May 23, 2019 Also, don’t listen while you’re driving. I’ve had to pull over because I was laughing so hard. 1 Link to comment
Omeletsmom June 1, 2019 Share June 1, 2019 (edited) And, for the love of God, not using wireless earpods on public transportation. I recently heard someone tell the story of how his earpods became unsynced during a particularly graphic passage (thus broadcasting what he was listening to to the whole train car) and he was so embarrassed he got off at the next stop, even though he was miles from his destination. ElectricBoogaloo June 5, 2019 Share June 5, 2019 New tour announced! I’m so excited because I couldn’t go when they were here last year! And the venue is a bit nicer this time around (of course, it’s also more expensive but I’m not going to complain). Presale starts today and tickets are available to the public on Friday at 10am through LiveNation. 1 Link to comment
VengefulScorpio June 7, 2019 Share June 7, 2019 I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I hated the 2 sidekicks, James & Alice, and didn’t think they were funny at all. They always seemed to interrupt at the wrong time. And I thought it was just a waste of time when they brought those 2 ladies from the audience up to do the re-creation. Jamie reading the story was funny enough to me. The porn was hilariously bad. Link to comment

James has sometimes gotten on my nerves, but I've usually thought Alice was fairly brilliant. However I do think overall their role is necessary. The stories themselves are hilarious, sure, but the meat of the concept is how they react to what they're hearing. If Jamie just went off about how shit it all was in a vacuum, it would just sound like bellyaching. He has to have someone to bounce things off or the concept doesn't work. There has to be a dialogue about how horrid it is, not a monologue. 1 Link to comment

Sydney Opera House - seats as much as 5700 people 2.) Radio City - seats as much as 6000 people 3.) O2 Manchester - seats as much as 3500 people 4.) Chicago Theater - seats as much as 3600 people 5.) Met Philadelphia - seats as much as 3500 people Edited June 11, 2019 by Kromm Link to comment

sacrebleu June 12, 2019 Share June 12, 2019 Quote nd I thought it was just a waste of time when they brought those 2 ladies from the audience up to do the re-creation. J I'm guessing they had to make the show over an hour.. and it was a bit of a time filler. I've been making my way through the podcast.. and it's amazing! I actually just heard Alice's first diatribe about Flintstone's complete ignorance of female anatomy after one too many references to 'grabbing her cervix" Link to comment

I didn't mind it because it was visual proof that what was being described was ridiculous and almost physically impossible. Put one leg up on the chair, grab the left boob - it was like a really difficult version of Twister and demonstrates how Rocky just throws one thing after another into the narrative without considering if it makes any sense at all.
