Annetteboardman January 24, 2019 Share January 24, 2019 I have just started rewatching Face Off from the beginning. I know I watched the first season when it aired (I don't know how I found it but I know I watched it). But the challenges for the most part were completely unfamiliar to me. So it was cool to watch something so brand new. The show was good from the beginning and the challenges were really good, even though it took the artists a while to figure out what they could actually do. I'm glad Syfy has them all available as I think I will be watching them for several weeks, one or two a night. 3 Link to comment
aradia22 January 20, 2020 Share January 20, 2020 Is anyone else watching Glow Up on Netflix? It seems like Face Off but only for beauty makeup with little to no special FX makeup. It really makes me appreciate Face Off because they seem to be making all the wrong decisions. The oldest contestant is 28 which tells me they probably cast from youtube and instagram sorts of makeup artists. The judges aren't consistent and they come across as very fake. I don't trust the judges' makeup skills or their critiques. One episode in and the only good thing is that so far there isn't any drama between the contestants. 4 Link to comment
RoxiP February 4, 2020 Share February 4, 2020 I miss this show. To me it was one of the "realest" competition shows on television - the artists truly were that: ARTISTS. I also liked that they all seemed to compete against one another but were also willing to help one another. There didn't seem to be as much overt gameplay as on other shows - probably because they all were vying for jobs in the industry and realized they might be working alongside one another in the future, and certainly for the very distinguished judges. I still don't understand why SyFy took it off air. 4 Link to comment

Tyler Green is somewhat local, and I saw him twice in the past year giving demonstrations on his work. There were Q&A sessions, he's very personable and it was great to see him in action. So talented! Many of the people there were Face Off fans and we all lamented how we missed the show. There was zero contestent drama and it truly was focused on the work. The judges all seemed fair and gave constructive criticism. Sigh. 3 Link to comment

enoughcats September 29, 2020 Share September 29, 2020 Remember Mel, with the infectious grin? I saw a photo of the woman arrested for sending ricin around and saw a vague resemblance. It took me two days to remember Mel's name, but with a google search for Mel and Face Off, I found that Mel has had two recent very good years according to her IMDB. 2019 and 2020 2 Link to comment
