I'm surprised there wasn't some kind of retcon where Suede slipped on a banana peel and poor, innocent Todd didn't kill him after all. Nobody cared enough about Suede to dredge that up. To be fair, Todd's initial 'redemption' arc wasn't about washing away his sins so much as working to make him a viable character to stick around which was good because... yikes. That whole mess in the abandoned church or whatever when Suede died... oh lord. For me at the time, I hated Marty, I hated Suede and I hated Todd. I was kind of hoping that the whole building would just blow up and take them all out. It is funny to think about how hard they leaned into making not!Todd so palatable after the Grossening that they brought fucking Powell and Rebecca back, crazier than before, but didn't do that with Suede. Which, again, just shows how little anyone cared about him at all. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/8691-the-best-and-worst-of-one-life-to-live/page/12/#findComment-7852963
jsbt February 2, 2023 Share February 2, 2023 The fact that Trevor (while still handsome) has visibly aged considerably in the last decade, making it more viable for him to supposedly be playing Jill Abbott's not much younger brother on Y&R, just reminded me that Sean Moynihan who played Powell returned after almost 20 years having not aged a day. 4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/8691-the-best-and-worst-of-one-life-to-live/page/12/#findComment-7853173

Also, I must mention again, I mourn what could have been if Reiko or a good recast of Rebecca had been mixed in with Kyle and Fish. Speaking of aging, Dan Gauthier has become quite the silver fox. He was always handsome, but HELLO. This is totally a thing with me. I thought he was a compelling villain, but I didn't have a crush on Evil Mitch (don't judge!) until 2009 when Roscoe Born (RIP) had the silver hair. Same when they let Jerry verDorn (RIP) stop dying his hair that stupid red. ETA: Omigosh! I got curious about how Matt Walton (Eli) looks like now and LOOK! ETA II: I think I first noticed my thing with this when Kerr Smith showed up on The Fosters (starring Sherri Saum!) as a dad and I a) felt like I'd aged 20 years instantaneously, and b) was confused to find that Jack McPhee was hot. I was aching for them to let him go gray because he'd already looked amazing as silver fox Nick Rivers on The City in the '90s. IIRC they finally let him do it before his run ended in summer '03, or I could be wrong and it waited til '09. JVD and Clint was a similar thing. I remember JVD talked at length about being very eager to stop dying his hair.
