It's potentially a very clever move on his part--IF (and that's a big if) the show works out and is a success. If he was Felix he'd have been pigeonholed for life. I only saw like a single episode of the short-lived "Go On", but I do have the impression that character was more to the Oscar side than the Felix one though. His lead character had virtually the same job as Oscar Madison (Oscar was a sports columnist and Perry's character on Go On was a sports talk radio host--and as I recall on the classic series that version of Oscar did radio too). 1 Link to comment

I guess this says it all: Friends actor Matthew Perry is barely recognisable as he steps onto red carpet HE WAS once part of the most popular TV shows of the 1990s but Matthew Perry was barely recognisable last night.
