So sad to read today that the Foster family lost baby Adonijah in a fire. :( Meri Brown posted today about the fundraiser to help the family.

Pic of Lillian with Adonijah here. So heartbreaking. :(

I can't find anything online showing Catrina is a sister to Lillian and Anazella.  Where did you read this?

Edit:  Lillian and Anazella are full sisters.  But I think you are right that Catrina is their half-sister, because their "Mom Charlotte" sure looks like Catrina.  Lillian and Anazella's mom seems to be out of the picture, as Addam and Charlotte appear to be monogamous now.

Is the dude with the glasses Addam Swapp? I thought he was still in prison.

Joe Darger  live tweeted during the baby's funeral  last weekend. Tweeting that Enoch spoke, and the siblings, and other mother's Catrina and Lydia also spoke. So it appears that after filming, Enoch and Lydia did get married / sealed. The baby's mother Lillian was distraught and Lillian's sister read a letter that Lillian had written to the baby. This is so sad. What struck me the most about this family was the scene where Lillian was in labor and giving birth and Catrina was at Lillian's head, stroking her hair and encouraging her, and kissed her lovingly on her check when the baby was born.

I just watched the whole series, and googled the family afterwards to see what they were up to and learn more about the community.  I came upon the article about Adonijah.  How terribly heartbreaking for the entire family and community.  I can't imagine what the parents and siblings have gone through to experience the fire and the loss of the baby.

What I don’t understand is, these women could be fruitful and have as many children as their bodies could spit out during their childbearing years WITH THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL HUSBANDS, as they can with a shared husband. And at least if they each had their own husband, he would be a full time husband and father to their children, not a part time husband/dad that they and their children only get to see some of the time when he isn’t with his other wives/kids.  I don’t understand why a women would put herself through that, to have to share a husband and father to her children when she can do exactly what they are doing with her own husband that she doesn’t have to share. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have nothing against polygamy (taking on more than one spouse) but Mormons only practice polygyny (one man taking more than one wife)  while polyandry (one woman taking more than one husband) would never be allowed.  It's the dogma and sexism of their religion that irks me.  Polyamory is a non religious version of choosing to live in a pural marriage/relationship/lovestyle. The women talk about this being their choice and how they aren't forced into this lifestyle and with this particular group, the two husbands featured, did seem kind enough and fairly laid back, besides Christian who vibes as a bully man-child.  But no.  These women are definitely forced into this lifestyle by their religious beliefs.  Their husbands might not be forcing them, but their understanding of what their God demands is!  They follow the principles of what they have been taught even though there is no reality in this foundation. And Abel was attempting to force his wives into accepting a 4th and 5th wife.  He gave them no choice in that decision. The only ones with choice were the new potential sister wives.  Abel promised his brother without considering his own wives.  At least the dying brother considered his wives when expressing his wishes. What Abel's wives thought was best for their family wasn't considered and he was willing to have one of his current wives leave him over his decision.  That is an example of toxic patriarchy.  So anyway, this bunch seems like a nice enough bunch who love each other and take care of their kids.  I just saw story about Enoch and his second wife losing their 7th child, two years old, in a house fire.  Devastating news, and my heart goes out to them.   I wish this whole crew would watch Mormon Stories.  They do have a right to live this way though and the authorities should stay out of their business.
