A biopsy. And so ridiculous. As a survivor, when I underwent this procedure, I was AWAKE. They just Lidocained the area to death, so I wouldn't feel the GIANT, HUMONGOUS NEEDLE going through my breast to extract tissue to see if the lump was cancerous or benign. They told me I would feel a "slight discomfort." My ass. I would have preferred to be put under, and I have a high threshold for pain.

Actually, in the beginning of the episode, she told Will that her obgyn found "something" in her left breast and she had to get a biopsy or something. And next thing we see, she's coming out of anesthesia.

Double insult, even if it was played for laughs.

hope you are healthy and well now.

I just watched the episode again, and she tells Will and Jack she's going to the gynecologist but doesn't give a specific reason. Also, she and Will have a conversation after about how she was put under because she's a big baby.

what doctor these days puts a woman under without her knowing it (!) to give her a biopsy? AND...she was way way way too calm about it and the fact that she might have cancer! wtf!? completely unrealistic. especially for someone like grace.

I attribute her memory lapse to some brief post-sedation amnesia. Also, she questions why she is so calm about it and the nurse tells her it's because she's coming down from some powerful sedation. She makes up for it later with Will, that's for sure, lol.

Finally getting a moment to catch up on the last two episodes.

I loved this one. Lots of good jokes, I thought. I've never really liked Leo, but I did crack up at his calm reaction to her mocking him in the elevator. Very classic W&G! I also loved her telling him she was fine dealing with her medical scare alone, and then falling apart all over Will the second she walked in the apartment door.

Karen's scenes with the girl getting her first period were perfect ("you're not really mean!") and I loved Jack working with the kids. Like someone up thread said, I felt like we didn't get quite enough Will in this episode for my liking, but that's my only complaint. Well, that and the utter absurdity of Grace getting a biopsy and results in the same day.
