I don't think they'd cast an actor they think sucks at drama in this or any of the other high profile roles he's had.  Pretty is a dime a dozen in Hollywood.  And the show is 90% drama.

I think they would. It happens all the time. Sometimes for if they think an actor is "pretty" and want to fulfill that need (whether they want to admit to that or not) and sometimes to provide comic relief. This show is categorized as a "dramedy" and Kevin has been used to throw out what I guess are supposed to be funny lines most of the time.

I wouldn't get rid of Kevin, and I like the actor.   While I sometimes mock his story lines, I like that they're a little lighter and less serious than the other plots.

I'm so happy to see an actually obese woman on screen,  but damn,  i want to slap her more than Kevin. She needs to woman up and stop her whining.
