It annoys me to no end when people say 'extreme vetting' doesn't work because of the woman in San Bernardino and the two brothers in Boston. THEY WERE NOT REFUGEES!!! I do agree that, at least in some cases, the 'vetting' of people applying green cards isn't always the most indepth. OTOH, I don't know for sure what they do 'behind the scenes.' All I know is when my husband applied for his green card, he had to check boxes on a form denying prior 'extremist' activites. that was it. 1 Link to comment
