I'm way late with this, but better late than never. @Sarah D. Bunting, 'squarehead' was a racist 19th-century term that referred to German or Scandinavian immigrants to America. I first heard it used in Deadwood (which would be one of the reasons why you're not familiar with it - I know Deadwood isn't your thing).

I always had a question about this episode and the following one. The next one made it seem like some time had definitely passed and it sure seemed like Dylan and Kelly were actively having an affair. Were they really sleeping together behind Brandon's back? That was never totally confirmed but the way Dylan set up their trip and all it definitely seemed like something was going on between them more than just some kissing.

I always thought so too. Kelly was so self righteous about everyone else's sex life but was quick to cheat and participate in cheating. I didnt like how Kelly didnt seem to get why Brandon was upset that she was supposed to be his GF but was planning on going around the world with another guy!
