GHScorpiosRule November 19, 2016 Share November 19, 2016 (edited) Okay, I lied. I think season one and two tie for my favorite seasons of this show. From the American Idol rip-off of "American Duos" to "Black and Tan" and all the other episodes in between. From all the 'wink wink' of 80s pop culture, Bernsen's real life wife as a man hungry nympho, to Henry trying to tell Shawn that his mother was back. This season actually emphasized how much Shawn really loves Gus. For all his always taking advantage of him, when the chips are down, Gus is IT for Shawn, as we saw in season one's "There's Something About Mira" and this season's "Gus Walks into a Bank." The way he charged, or tried to charge into the bank when he realized why the cops all suddenly showed up? My heart just went pitter patter. andromeda331 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 I love American Duos. God it was so funny. Tim Curry when he's laughing and criticizing the man for all his fail attempts to kill him. I loved Black and Tan too but also Lights, Camera, and Homicidio was really funny. 2 Link to comment
GHScorpiosRule November 20, 2016 Author Share November 20, 2016 There isn't a single episode in the first two seasons that aren't downright hilarious! I absolutely howled at Tim Curry's portrayal of Nigel! 1 Link to comment

I also loved Meat is Murder, But Murder is Also Murder especially when their sampling all that food at the different restaurants and the newspaper guy trying to describe Cheetos. Bounty Hunters was really funny too. Your right there really wasn't a bad episode in season two. 2 Link to comment

Seriously, my favorite episodes in the series. Have watched each about a dozen times and still laugh my ass off. Season two is on Ion right now and I've dvred so many of those episodes. What a fantastic season. 3 Link to comment
DittyDotDot November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 I've been re-watching...again. Just finished S2 last night. This is such a fun season!!! 65 Million Years Off; And Down The Stretch Comes Murder; Meat Is Murder, But, Murder Is Also Murder; If Your're So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead; Bounty Hunters!; Lights, Camera...Homicidio; Black And Tan: A Crime Of Passion...so very many good ones. And even the ones I didn't mention are good. But, American Duos is an absolute favorite. I can always count on that one to cheer me up. Tim Curry is absolutely priceless and the flashback at the beginning with young Shawn and Gus coupled with their grown up performance at the end makes me ridiculously happy. 3 Link to comment
GHScorpiosRule November 24, 2016 Author Share November 24, 2016 I just rewatched "American Duos" with the commentary, and apparently, there's a Director's cut version? Which is NOT on the DVD! It has an extra 14 minutes!!!!! That bites! Dule and James are hilarious in the commentary. James is just so the opposite of Shawn. So laid back. Also, a change! In the first season the PSYCH signage in the window was blue, which I liked. They changed it to green this season and until the end. Also, "Black and Tan" remains one of my favorites, because of the slo mo models walk to Pet Shop Boys. I LOOOOOVED them. 3 Link to comment
twoods January 20, 2017 Share January 20, 2017 Season two is back on Ion and one of my favs was on tonight, Psy vs Psy. I liked the twist and Lou Diamond Phillips was awesome. Another episode I have watched over a dozen times and still get a laugh out of. 5 Link to comment

bettername2come March 4, 2017 Share March 4, 2017 "Lights, Camera, Homocidio" is one of my favorites of all time. I always hated that they never returned to the telenovela for a future episode. And between this episode and "American Duos" I always imagined Shawn had an IMDB page with some crazy fans. 4 Link to comment

GHScorpiosRule December 27, 2017 Author Share December 27, 2017 So I started watching season two today and this is just as hilarious as one and I found myself ?????????? while watching “American Duos,” and frankly, I’m up to “And Down The Stretch is Murder,” which is where we learn that Shawn and Gus love horsies, and has the one and only time that James and Liam and Dulé and Carlos appear together as Shawn and young Shawn and Gus and young Gus. And James and Liam also have amazing chemistry! The show should have cast an actor who could be a sarcastic smart ass after Liam outgrew being young Shawn. The kid they got in the last couple seasons SUCKED. And even in “Psy v. Psy,” where Shawn was being shown up by the Federal agent FAKE psychic, he still was shown as smart and being able to find the killer. Coming up...”Bounty Hunters!” “There’s Something About Mira,” “Black and Tan!”????????? 2 Link to comment
twoods December 27, 2017 Share December 27, 2017 Season two is amazing. So many funny episodes and definitely due for a rewatch. Black and Tan always cracks me up, especially the one-liners. "It was yellow...and boring." "Somewhere a transient is shivering in the night." "One of them could not confirm the correct spelling of their name." "I'd rather shower with a bear." Seriously, I could go on. That was as perfect of an hour of television as you could get. 4 Link to comment
andromeda331 December 28, 2017 Share December 28, 2017 (edited) Lou Diamond Phillips is hot. He was awesome in Psy vs Psy and also really hot. Thanks Psych for having him with his shirt off at the end. I liked Mildred too. She ended up saving Shawn. Edited December 28, 2017 by andromeda331 4 Link to comment

Please do go on! One of my favorite one-liners is from American Duos "This car makes me want to weep and then die." One of my favorite physical comedy bits is also from Duos. It's when Lassie is interrogating Emilina and she hits on him for the first time. TO reacts by going over his chair backwards in disgust. I can't describe it well, but it makes me laugh every time. 2 Link to comment
