misstwpherecool April 24, 2018 Share April 24, 2018 I remember the journal which they gave a mention Delta Blues among other times. My thing is when did Rittenhouse plant the sleeper agents because number of time travel alerts don't match up with existing sleeper agents. So before Flynn stole the machine Rittenhouse planted the agents? Was Rittenhouse just another cult, club, faction intellgence, contractor etc or were they about controlling fate, destiny, outcomes from day one. In other words did simply try to exploit time travel or they knew that was the purpose of their organization from day one. Link to comment
mythoughtis April 24, 2018 Share April 24, 2018 (edited) Rittenhouse planted the sleeper agents (after Emma stole the mothership) while the lifeboat and computer system were offline after the explosion. There was a six week period where they couldn’t track where/what historical period the mothership was traveling to. The episode where Lucy traveled to WWI with Emma and Carol was the first one that Jiya was able to track after the explosion. They somehow know the mothership made 10 trips, but they don’t know where. Presumably Rittenhouse is now retracing its’ steps and ‘waking up’ the sleeper agents to put their plans in motion. From the way they're described, since shortly before the American Revolution they've been a hidden organization aiming to manipulate events to put the country, maybe the whole world, under their secret control, simply because they see themselves as the true elites who know better than everyone else. But it appears, from what we learned in S2E1, that time travel only became an idea for them when Lucy's great-grandpa started writing essays about historical turning points back around WWI, more than a century after the organization was founded, and only became a real part of their plans 100 years after that when they found someone -- Connor Mason -- who, while he wasn't in their group, did have concrete theories about how to develop a time machine that they could co-opt. Short version: They simply tried to exploit time travel. 1 Link to comment

Convenient that they made 10 trips and we have 10 episodes this season, isn't it? 1 Link to comment
