I'm not sure the first time I heard the song, but anytime someone says Chicago, that song always jumps to mind for some reason. I think the song is an off shoot of an old folk song with the lyrics, "Chicken in the corn, the corn won't grow." I have no idea how it got to be about Chicago, though. ;) Link to comment

AwesomO4000 January 13, 2017 Share January 13, 2017 Finally here and... I have no idea. This is one of those episodes that I skipped, because I was angry at Carver's show direction, and I never did go back and watch this episode. Season 8, moving on... and also forgetting as much as possible. I like @catrox14's guess. I'll throw out Professor Jones (since Sam and Dean have "Smith" covered at this time in the show.) The way she masqueraded as an ME way back in "Heart" just to get close to the Winchesters was a brilliant long game. 2 Link to comment

DittyDotDot January 14, 2017 Share January 14, 2017 (edited) Maybe the card is looking for a devil's trap, but technically, I think a binding link--the sigil Meg used in Born Under a Bad Sign and what Crowley used on Brady in The Devil You Know--should also be correct. ETA: just because is was nagging me, I looked it up on the wiki: Binding link: http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Binding_Link Quote Binding links are symbols that can keep a demons, or any other possessing entity trapped inside its meatsuit i.e. the human it is possessing, and in the case of demons they can neither escape voluntarily or be exorcised. Binding sigils can be etched on to various types of restraints, where they work in the same way as having been carved into the flesh. Certain binding sigils, like the ones etched on the handcuffs Sam and Dean discovered in the Men of Letters Bunker, also appear to weaken the powers of the prisoners they place into them. Binding links may also be related to the "binding magic" used on curse boxes to keep the evil inside. Devil's Trap: http://www.supernaturalwiki.com/index.php?title=Devil's_trap Quote The devil’s trap is a mystical symbol used to immobilize and control demons. It is similar to a circle of salt but more powerful and persistent as it is usually etched or painted in place, and can't simply be brushed or blown away. If a demon walks inside the outer circle of a devil's trap, it cannot physically leave it, and is trapped. Devil's traps also inhibit the use of some demonic powers. Devil's traps have been used not only to detain a demon, but are also drawn at entrances as a deterrent to prevent access to a building, room, or container. I think @sarthaz should get this one. Demented Daisy January 14, 2017 Author Share January 14, 2017 Sorry, I have to go with the card because of the way it's worded: What is the name of the sigil that binds a demon in place and prevents it from leaving its human vessel? A binding link doesn't do that. Link to comment
