Tara Ariano October 3, 2016 Share October 3, 2016 Quote A best-of recap of the blind auditions includes previously unseen moments, plus a peek at the battle round. Also: Coaches Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton reflect on their decisions. Link to comment
SnarkyTart October 6, 2016 Share October 6, 2016 Aaaand...nobody cares? Maybe it's just me, but I've watched every episode of every season of The Voice and I'm more disappointed by this season's contestants than ever before. There were less than a handful that I'd be interested in seeing again. Meh. Link to comment

I know they promised "new footage" but I doubt many people cared enough to willingly subject themselves to the 95% that wasn't new footage. Except those few people who actually watch the show live, and once it was on and they noticed it was all stuff they'd seen before simply were too lazy to flip channels again. Link to comment

Why do they even have to have an episode like this? No one cares about these kinds. They might as well have just made this another Blind episode and mitigate any need for montages in the prior episodes. Edited October 8, 2016 by Michel 2 Link to comment

A "highlights" episode is very cheap to make, basically just paying the editors, as opposed to the full production cost of another Blinds episode (plus the judges' huge salaries). So it's basically pure revenue for the network, another hour of commercials, even if the ratings are lower than for an original episode. Edited October 8, 2016 by bluepiano Link to comment

I doubt it would cost much more to show the montaged blinds. 1 Link to comment
limecoke October 10, 2016 Share October 10, 2016 Quote Why would anyone care about a rehash episode? Well, I usually never watch the rehash but did this time because I've avoided the blinds and wanted to catch up before the battles started. I avoided mostly because of Miley. She's just so loud and annoying I knew she'd drive me nuts if I watched five episodes of her silly outfit and yelly..."It's me, me, me, me." There were a few singers that impressed me in between all the usual shouty stuff. I know it's weird but I missed Pharrell with his quietness, thoughtfulness and...well...maturity. I have to ask a question about Sundance Head...I'm sure I've heard of him before. Was it American Idol? Link to comment

Because Adam's own "me, me, me, me" mentality is so much more preferable. *rme* At least Miley's interesting. And yes, Sundance was previously on AI. Link to comment
